I'm having an issue that is preventing me from progressing. I am at the scene after the jewelry thief fight and suit AI introductions where Aurora comes to check on you. After she leaves it cycles back to the scene where Malcolm fires you.
But you do realize that the version leaked here is a bugged version? The bug has been known for a long time and this version of Glowing Stones existed for maybe a day before a bugfix was released. If it was a day at all. Sure, MoonlightDevCorp released a game with a bug, but it happens to all devs. That's why bugfixes and v0.x.y exists. You can see it here all the time. It's not the devs fault and certainly not his problem the leaker here leaked a buggy version at F95. On Steam and on Patreon you can enjoy the game without bugs and without problems. Don't blame the Dev for playing a bugged version of a stolen AVN. It is not the dev's job to help those who steal from him.i have the exact same issue. by any chance did you reject aurora? because i did. seems like thats the issue from reading some of the threads. looks like the game is dead to me then. i dont like her and i shouldnt be forced to like her just to continue, what was the point of offering the rejection then?
Please don't quote me in your hypocritical chastising bullshit. If you have a problem with what this website is about, go after the people that run this site, not its users, and certainly don't do that while proving you are an active member on said site with an account that has thousands of posts. If you have an issue with something, don't also support it. I'm not going to spend money on an unfinished VN because the rate of these VN's reaching completion is incredibly low, and that is my prerogative, not yours. I POSTED A GODDAMN BUG REPORT. Sometimes devs are here, sometimes they are not. I've played several hundred VNs and I can't possibly keep up with all of them. It doesn't matter anyway because I assumed it would be fixed in the next update that gets posted here, which I absolutely will play. If you'll notice, I made a single post in this thread and it was months ago. Do not rope me into whatever argument you have going on inside your head. But you do realize that the version leaked here is a bugged version? Because you're basing your review on a bugged version that was released by someone other than the Dev and you don't see a problem with doing so?fair enough its bugged, and yes there are alot of bugged and buggy AVNs, doesnt change anything though.
several of you are getting very defensive over a review. especially when i didnt demand it to be fixed or slagged off the Dev.
I saw this game recommended, i found on this site, as its the only one i use. tried it and had problems. checked on this forum to see if any fixes etc... saw others with same issue, but no real responses.
so like any review.... i played until done, gave my assessment and posted.
im not a bug-tester, dont even know the ins and outs of the renpy engine to even possibly provide useful infomation to a Dev, all i can do is supply a review of my experience and views, to help others to decide to try this AVN.
and why the facepalm for 2/5 stars? (ah i now know what you are on about. the sites own definition, 2 is poor. sadly i dont follow those definitions, because of the reasons listed later in this post) yes i played it for free, that means it gets an auto 5/5 stars.... im not IGN or Gamespot.
as i said, the game is decent and worth a look. if i didnt have the issue thats stopped me, then it would be a 3/5 stars.
i have no idea how others do their reviews, but for me 2 is decent, 3 is good, 4 is excellent and 5 a must have and play. all AVNs i review as 5/5 i support on patreon or SS at mid-tier, depending on the game/Dev. 4 star i support at the lowest.
franky i have so many AVNs in the queue, that all i can do is play/finish, rate, add or not to my watchlist, review, support if meets my standards.... then move on.
I apologise if the Dev feels slighted or attacked, not my intention, i dont feel like what i said was the case. this game is on my watchlist, and i do comeback occasionally when time fits to various games, and wouldnt be the first time i have changed my reviews.
p.s. we all know what this site is, we are all here for the same thing, i know it, you guys know it, even the Dev know it. so painting me as a villain for stealing from them is a bit much. but fair enough i dont mind.
Yes, that may have been a misunderstanding between us. On F95 it'sand why the facepalm for 2/5 stars? (ah i now know what you are on about. the sites own definition, 2 is poor. sadly i dont follow those definitions, because of the reasons listed later in this post) yes i played it for free, that means it gets an auto 5/5 stars.... im not IGN or Gamespot.

Same. When the game changes, my review gets an edit to reflect it.this game is on my watchlist, and i do comeback occasionally when time fits to various games, and wouldnt be the first time i have changed my reviews.
It is not the review that is the problem here. It is the basis on which you have argued and reached your conclusion. You literally said:several of you are getting very defensive over a review.
No i don't have problem with that, why do you? i came here, downloaded this version, added to queue, then played. checked back here to see if updated since i downloaded or fixes. saw none. leave review, move on.Because you're basing your review on a bugged version that was released by someone other than the Dev and you don't see a problem with doing so?
i honestly never thought of that. i think i might have to make a condensed brief legend in each of my reviews to reflect this.Yes, that may have been a misunderstanding between us. On F95 it's
1* terrible
2* poor
3* average
4* good
5* excellent
Since I always try to use the scoring system as defined by each site, I thought it very strange you'd rate it "poor" when saying it's "decent", which sounds more like a 3* rating to me.
I'm not one who casually hands out 5* reviews either, but a game has to really bad for me to give it a 1* or 2* rating. Did quite a few ratings, but only three 1* or 2*s since 2020.
Same. When the game changes, my review gets an edit to reflect it.
So long!
okay i understand that, and i really do empathise, but again. what can i do. if read my previous post i have gone into there, and possibly the confusion on my rating system that was pointed out. but unfortunately i cant change my system and the way do that.It is not the review that is the problem here. It is the basis on which you have argued and reached your conclusion. You literally said:Well, the issue is the fact the game isn't broken. The dumb ass who leaked it here just gave you a broken version. So as a result of a bad leaker, you give the game and the author of the game a bad rating. With a little empathy, this is considered unfair. Especially since MoonlightDevCorp is not even allowed to defend itself against it. His game is listed on Steam. Every creator on Steam is contractually obliged not to give their content away for free. Patreon is okay, other paying platforms like Epic Store, GOG, you name it, is okay, but if he distributes his content here at F95, an piracy board, he will be kicked out of Steam. So he can't even give you the bugfix for free. It's not fair to punish a dev with a bad rating because one of the pirates here is too stupid to leak correct versions. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Look, I'm not your enemy. I'd be the last person to grumble if you'd given a rating based on the content. If you give two stars because, for example, you don't like the graphics, the animations are bad, the story is too lazy, the characters are too one-dimensional, etc. pp., then it's not a good rating for the dev, but it would be a good rating in terms of the system here. The dev would have to live with it and it would be his problem alone. After all, nobody can take your opinion away from you. But it's not fair to give a bad rating based on something the dev can't change. Do you understand what I'm getting at? A leaker messed up, but the dev have to take the hits for it. Not fair.okay i understand that, and i really do empathise, but again. what can i do. if read my previous post i have gone into there, and possibly the confusion on my rating system that was pointed out. but unfortunately i cant change my system and the way do that.
so its the rating. i cant change that sorry, i explained my way of doing it previously. the only thing i can do, is edit and add brief legend of my way of doing the rating. especially as on my end, money is involved based on its raitng.Look, I'm not your enemy. I may not have understood you correctly. I'm not a native speaker. But what I think I've understood is stupid. Sorry.so its the rating. i cant change that sorry, i explained my way of doing it previously. the only thing i can do, is edit and add brief legend of my way of doing the rating. especially as on my end, money is involved based on its raitng.
well you apparently.I may not have understood you correctly. I'm not a native speaker. But what I think I've understood is stupid. Sorry.
But hey, you're you. Do your thing. I've outlined why I don't think your approach is okay, and strictly speaking, it's also a violation of the rules for ratings. But who am I to judge?
You're gonna give your self a headache, banging it on that wall........I may not have understood you correctly. I'm not a native speaker. But what I think I've understood is stupid. Sorry.

... and even that definition must be really old, from back when DMD and MOTH was the shit.1* terrible
2* poor
3* average
4* good
5* excellent
Eye of the beholder man, eye of the beholder.........I really like this one but all the LI faces look off, i would rate all of them as ugly, only the roommate is mid and i dont really get why.
And somehow the male models all are looking decent, its like the opposite of the usual avn
by the way 8 € for the new chapter is really fair pricing.
