I believe this game needs a bit of a re-thinking. The game loop is super frustrating.
Either add some form of discovery or events or just have the maps be a one time task. The actual finding the girls gimmic feels unfair and unfun. If you don't find at least one of them you're left with nothing to do. The NTR progression also falls flat and for some reason its like the game doesn't acknowlede the antagonist actually exists outside of the small night events.

I like the concept and the animations.

Here is what I'd change:
If you don't find a girl you can still find her in the world map. However she would get progress with the antagonist and start having events after a certain affection level / progress. Finding these events would give us a reason to run around.

Either make combat meaningfull or have some task we can do instead of just running around the world map so if we miss a girl and can't progress it doesn't feel like we're just wasting our time.

I propose adding the antagonist to the party when you have all three girls. Idc if he is strong or weak. Can give him in-combat events with the girls like they do in other games. Where he acts on his own.

Drop the random encounters they're annoying, too frequent and not what people are here for. If you have to keep them make them more rare and make combat more interesting. Defeat cg, clothing dmg, specific attacks against the girls so on.

I really want to see this game be good but it just isn't right now.
If I were to make John playable, I'd make him kinda an anti darkness- he'd be a decent and fast glass cannon and a bit of a show off but has abysmal accuracy. When he makes an attack, he might try and make a pass on one of the girls- should he kill or crit an enemy with that attack, that girl will gain a temp point of corruption which will only be given at the end of a battle. However, should he miss, the opposite will occur and they will lose a point of corruption. Furthermore, should he be knocked out, all the temporary points of corruption will be lost and no corruption will be gained that battle.

Edit: Another layer I might find interesting is maybe a jealousy system for when John is in your party- when John tries to make a pass at member of his party, perhaps there could be a means for Kazuma if he notices to take a counter action to attempt to keep John away.

To throw my thoughts about the game loop being frustrating recently mentioned)- Rather than try to involve john in party combat during quests(though it would be interesting if he tags along at certain corruption levels if you manage to bring all 3 heroines- not wanting to be left alone at the mansion. Possibly making it more difficult by distracting characters that he has higher corruption with..) - I think it would be better to just add mob scenes/teasing. I personally didn't think the game loop was frustrating but I can understand why it would be. Afterall you have a machine that with minimum effort basically makes you unstoppable- Kazuma has snipe that is insanely strong- darkness can constantly take attacks- aqua can constantly heal darkness or revive. Megumin is by far the weakest of the 4 because she isn't part of this infinite cycle. But when you realize how strong the other 3 characters are- there is no danger in combat.. So possibly fixing that could add restraining(with small scenes?)- or fumbling, tripping, ways to incapacitate characters and give the creatures some more speed so they might actually be able to do such before death. mob characters may also appear related to John who wants to keeps an eye on kazuma and party- and may possibly mess with the heroines secretly. John can't be everywhere at once- and while it makes sense he's the only one who you are fighting against in corruption values- doesn't mean other characters you won't be constantly meeting can't have scenes.. Potion maker?. Some random people at the tavern? A guard on the road?. etc. Or just Johns goons- I liked the addition of silvia plans(and hoping for her to personally attack the heroines..especially if she ends up as a futa like canon..) . But to avoid getting overly ambitious and keeping people who can't go 5 mins without seeing tits or panties- a simple restraint/knock down system without dialogue but with some sprite variation(falling down pantsu shots, webbed by spiders, short term paralyzing by bugs- Megumin literally just existing after explosion) added+ given to creatures to make combat more versatile might not be too time consuming to add. And while this would make combat take longer due to incapping your nukes or kazuma for a turn- it's quite easy to avoid combat altogether... which is more of a problem with balance. As you don't really have a reason to explore and fight- so it becomes a game of going on quest you already finished and then re-entering the mansion for a scene because there's nothing to do. That is a bigger problem- but in the end it's a hgame- and the only way to fix this is if you limit how long you can explore somehow. while simultaneously decreasing the thresholds that are decided by days (like wiz event at day 7/higher etc)- because by that time you really don't have anything to do.

Well.
After not playing this game for a while, I decided to playtest it a bit.
And I'm pretty sure that this game is perhaps too ambitious at its current stage.

One of the first complaints I ever levied was the size of the world and the number of monsters. Though that has changed for the field, it appears that has not changed for the new map, like the cave. There are an obscene number of monsters. The only saving grace is that they don't respawn, but I think that's a fluke, not a feature, since most other maps have them respawn. Honestly, that's what prevented me from exploring the new maps more, just how painful it was to actually get around and explore the new maps. Please cut down on that. This is a porn game, not an actual serious RPG. Sure, some of the best games I ever played were porn games that also were serious RPGs, but this is a Konosuba Parody where the girls start at level 30 and Megumin can cast explosion one shotting most targets and herself. This is not a serious RPG and cannot hope to be without a fundamental alteration that will cost this game even more months and potential years of dev time.

The addition of more items that allow us to make it easier to find the girls is better.

But there's still one big issue.

This game has no end. This game has nowhere to go. Currently, all building progress is dedicated towards the routes. Sure. That's the 'meat' of the game. That's where the content is. However, as I stated way back in like, 0.2? The game has no end point. The only current 'end' is to have your girls stolen... Except that's not actually the end, is it? Because the scene viewer has space for way more scenes, and it already ends at level 3.

NTR is theoretically avoidable, but since corruption builds passively and there's no way to 'end the game', you'll eventually be NTRed. In its current state, this game can't end. In its current state, this game can't complete. It's presumptuous to say that we'll even have an entire second game mode that's regular without the micropenis curse.

Something has to be done about the curse, but aside from Wiz, nothing really is. We're getting close to 0.10.

There are a lot of things I could say about what I'd like to see, with the NTR and the possible situations, but all of those things are secondary in the face of 'actually being able to complete the game'.

Dev, I'm begging you, just stick an ending in somehow. It doesn't matter if you have to stick in like, 5 blank Wiz cutscenes for her to cure the curse or something, just like, make the game endable. This will massively help you, I promise, because you'll be able to actually consider all of the new content you put in in context to 'how much time it takes to get to the ending', and let you balance around how much time John gets and how much time Kazuma needs.

It's always been a bit weird when people say RPGMaker engine is shit, it's easy to use a well optimized compared to Unreal & Unity.

There are games that are optimized on Unreal & Unity however it needs the developer to do it (it's not pre-packeted), RPGMaker only needs to be optimized if the game is huge (lot's of events on one cell the common means around this is to make a duplicate/s of the cell to halve or quarter the events)

There is also a learning curve with Unreal & Unity unlike RPGMaker which is why it's more accessible and more used.
As people will say that most RPGMaker are crap the point is there are equally numbered crap and abandoned Unreal & Unity games.

Plus depends but good optimization can get to everyone playing not just the 5% who have super-computers.

You can get a rpgm style plugin and prebuild setupp in unreal. However, rpgm has decades of tools, plugins, and assets that can be used with it. It definitely struggles with stuff like modern animations, but I agree its still plenty viable for the type of games it makes.

7.5 version will be the end of part one from what the dev said.

whats the point of the dark room where u find the party members
its a minigame where you have to run around and find them, if you successfully find a party member you can bring them on that days missions, but if you run out of time and fail to find a party member they are left behind for the day and gain corruption points since there left alone with john. supposedly in future updates NTR content will pop up during that minigame as well. (probably finding the girls while john is with them or john locking a door to one of the rooms the girl is in to prevent you from interrupting.)
