its a minigame where you have to run around and find them, if you successfully find a party member you can bring them on that days missions, but if you run out of time and fail to find a party member they are left behind for the day and gain corruption points since there left alone with john. supposedly in future updates NTR content will pop up during that minigame as well. (probably finding the girls while john is with them or john locking a door to one of the rooms the girl is in to prevent you from interrupting.)
The only way that minigame works is if there is corruption events during it. Like you run out of time, and if you keep exploring you find a locked room with the event happening. As ist is, its a time waisting boring thing with not enough time to search everywhere.

Trying to save, the cursor overshooting to "go to title" with no confirmation pissed me off enough to not want to ever play again.

I agree. the minigame as it currently exists seems to be there just to frustrate. The area to search is huge, you have an overly limited field of view and the torches don't light up enough to help, the girls are randomly placed, and you simply aren't given the time to find them. Sometimes they are so hidden you are lucky to find one of them that go round and you are given no option as to which. Shrink the area down a bit and give us a hint for each girl when we enter the area so as not to make us feel helpless. Perhaps tie the sight range and time limit a bit to the curse rating mechanic too- as the curse weakens, make us able to see more. You might want to change the rate of Wiz's exorcisms if you do that though.

actually, there is a hint system already, mind you not that good of one. the aura reader allows you to instead of immediately entering the room burn a few seconds to check if the room has a girl in it, if it does then an exclamation point will pop up above your head, if it doesn't then no one is in that room. though even then even with all three upgrades unless your lucky you tend to just barely be able to find all three of the girls.

Yeah, I suppose that's true. Because there's like, no reason to actually 'do combat', each day, the dark room mechanic is utterly superfluous. As it currently exists, combat serves to feed back into the dark room.

You get materials and money from fighting which you use to make items to more consistently get all the girls.

But also, though I have given praise to Aqua in the past, she's borderline the only necessary character. Megumin is the least useful character. Though she can one shot most enemies, she's handicapped by getting knocked out once she's done, so she's useless in most regular combat, and can't be used in the cave. The lava cave has nothing in it right now, so everyone's useless there. Megumin is therefore, only useful in one place, one boss fight, the Ogre boss, and you don't even have to search for her, since she's sitting around not far from it in the field.

...Yet another reason why there should be an ending to the game. By sticking an ending on, we'll be able to determine what's actually necessary and good and what's superfluous and annoying. In theory, the manner in which the curse is cured and John deposed is through combat. However, as is current, no such thing exists. My guess is you just eventually get to some boss and kill them to destroy the ring. Maybe it's like a reverse Sauron or something.

If I'm to give my own recommendation on how to make Megumin and the dungeons a bit more interesting:

You could lean into the Crimson Demons seeming to have more magical lore knowledge than most others. Have there be moments in dungeons where something magical comes up and Megumin can serve as a pocket dictionary to decipher it or give some idea of what it is, if not outright state what it does (or its multiple interaction choices do).

If you interact with the magic thing incorrectly, it could strengthen Kazuma's curse (a variable that could plug into other stuff that gives Kazuma a harder time and John an easier time), give John some kind of bonus, reduce Kazuma's favor, make the girls hyper-horny and now Kazuma needs to deal with their urges somehow before John does, or an assortment of other things. Vice versa, if you interact with it correctly, it could give Kazuma bonuses and John maluses.

So, not having Megumin around could make things harder in exploration/dungeons since you'll just have to make blind guesses at what the magic things do. If Yunyun ever gets added, you could have it be that you need at least one of the Crimson Demon girls to decipher the magic interactables.

Perhaps if you have one Crimson Demon, you get a partial translation. If you have both, you get a full outline of what the magic thing is, what it does, and what your choices with it are.

If Megumin and/or Yunyun are high corruption from John, they might even start giving you false info just to impede you and/or give John a bonus.

Heck, maybe make the magic things weird artifacts of that hyper-perverted ancient creator the Crimson Demons have. Maybe even the cursed ring is something he made and Kazuma, (Through some means, Wiz, Crimson Demons, or otherwise) discovers that while Wiz and some other actions can help him, interacting with these artifacts is necessary to eventually breaking the curse. So, he can't just ignore them when he finds one.

Perhaps the artifacts are something you can only obtain from boss/mini-boss/tough-enemy chests throughout respawning dungeons and you can't bring them back with you.

If multi-choice translation is a bit too boring, they could also be quick mini-games that are made easier or harder depending on how many Crimson Demons are in your party and how high or low their corruption is. Though, that would be much harder to program and bugfix.

P.S. I would also like to throw in my vote for adding Yunyun, even if she's a content update that only comes after 1.0.

Is there anyone who knows how to survive the rock trap to reach second orb in the cave? Anytime I try to reach it, I always get hit and return to the bridge.
I've done everything else in that area and only that part is missing to reach the boss.
Please, save me :cry:!

not going to outright tell so you can figure it out yourself but will give a massive hint (that borderlines on just giving the answer away) pay attention to what your character says, there is no way past the boulders, and your too weak to stop it, know anyone in your party that is particularly strong physically?

pretty sure the searching minigame is supposed to be frustrating. you are supposed to get items that make it easier less time consuming if it was easy off the bat the items wouldnt be necessary.

Yeah, honestly. It is an NTR game. Far too many NTR games are so easy there's no way to get NTR'd without handicapping yourself or losing on purpose. Upgrades gained with time is good enough.

v0.7.4 is now available for public!

ChangeLog (v0.7.4):

  • 2 NTR Scene added. (Darkness & Aqua, Foursome)
  • Most of journal for characters added.
  • Journal for main objective added.
  • QOL update and bugfixes (Newly added notification when you get new journal, title screen button changed to load, etc.)
Now, for the new two NTR scenes. It will be triggered as usual, like other threesome scenes, but the requirement is different and requires the specific heroine to fall. Most of the journal for characters was added, mostly for the trio and minor characters. Also, journal for the main objective was added. If you somehow forgot your progress and maybe need a hint at what your next objective is, you can read up on the journal. Next QOL updates, such as the star icon when you get a newly added or updated journal, title screen button changed to load button, etc.

Please always start a new save, you can download it now on the first page.

Well.
After not playing this game for a while, I decided to playtest it a bit.
And I'm pretty sure that this game is perhaps too ambitious at its current stage.

One of the first complaints I ever levied was the size of the world and the number of monsters. Though that has changed for the field, it appears that has not changed for the new map, like the cave. There are an obscene number of monsters. The only saving grace is that they don't respawn, but I think that's a fluke, not a feature, since most other maps have them respawn. Honestly, that's what prevented me from exploring the new maps more, just how painful it was to actually get around and explore the new maps. Please cut down on that. This is a porn game, not an actual serious RPG. Sure, some of the best games I ever played were porn games that also were serious RPGs, but this is a Konosuba Parody where the girls start at level 30 and Megumin can cast explosion one shotting most targets and herself. This is not a serious RPG and cannot hope to be without a fundamental alteration that will cost this game even more months and potential years of dev time.

The addition of more items that allow us to make it easier to find the girls is better.

But there's still one big issue.

This game has no end. This game has nowhere to go. Currently, all building progress is dedicated towards the routes. Sure. That's the 'meat' of the game. That's where the content is. However, as I stated way back in like, 0.2? The game has no end point. The only current 'end' is to have your girls stolen... Except that's not actually the end, is it? Because the scene viewer has space for way more scenes, and it already ends at level 3.

NTR is theoretically avoidable, but since corruption builds passively and there's no way to 'end the game', you'll eventually be NTRed. In its current state, this game can't end. In its current state, this game can't complete. It's presumptuous to say that we'll even have an entire second game mode that's regular without the micropenis curse.

Something has to be done about the curse, but aside from Wiz, nothing really is. We're getting close to 0.10.

There are a lot of things I could say about what I'd like to see, with the NTR and the possible situations, but all of those things are secondary in the face of 'actually being able to complete the game'.

Dev, I'm begging you, just stick an ending in somehow. It doesn't matter if you have to stick in like, 5 blank Wiz cutscenes for her to cure the curse or something, just like, make the game endable. This will massively help you, I promise, because you'll be able to actually consider all of the new content you put in in context to 'how much time it takes to get to the ending', and let you balance around how much time John gets and how much time Kazuma needs.

What? Is this shit in chapters like Deltarune or something? I cannot conceive of how this game has at all alluded to that kind of structure.
People sometimes misunderstand the structure of my game. It's pretty much like Leanne game. Where every phase of the game has different theme or style of gameplay. My game will have 2 phase, first half and second half, the second half of the game will become more open, and the corruption feature will also change and include side characters. That doesn't mean the first half is irrelevant. If you failed to meet the requirement when finishing the first half you will get a bad ending, and there are also several hidden stats that will go to the second half.
So basically it's just another way to say early game and mid game.
