Must admit, I don't get the stigma about casual sex from some games (or rather, their fans) here. It almost feels puritanical on occasion, which isn't what I expected from what's predominantly a porn game site. Yeah, some games are straight up fuckfests without any buildup, which hurts the payoff, but that doesn't mean it's the only way to do them. It takes good writing chops to make a convincing sex encounter with someone the character just met, sometimes more than stringing along a courtship for several updates.
Even IRL they're frequently memorable, feeling the sparks fly when you realise the other person is on the same page as you, enjoying the dance and the chase of the whole thing. May not always make for the best long-term plan, but you don't know what life has planned for you anyway, so fuck it.
Quite a few games do the 'virtual waifu' thing well, but I usually feel a bit more disconnected in that scenario. I can appreciate a well-crafted relationship between characters, with all the heartstring-tugging that comes along with it, but it's an appreciation from a third-person POV. Whereas with more carnal relationships, I'm more locked in, maybe because the dick has ousted control from the brain at that point. Still needs to be a well-written scene, though - creative progression through the stages, engaging dialog between the characters involved, good buildup to a strong climax. Seeing a great o-face is always a good bonus (not full-on ahegao, that just looks goofy to me).
I think this game's in a pretty good place right now, got a strong mix of longer relationships and casual encounters. I get some similarities to WVM (which is a well-made game that sadly doesn't do much for me anymore) in the way the LIs fawn over the MC. But in WVM, it seems like they don't have much personality besides being obsessed with the MC, and that seems to be handled better here.
In that vein, if there's anything that could be tweaked, maybe it's fleshing out some scenarios that don't automatically put the MC on a pedestal. Every single other guy in the game is clueless, insensitive, and just begging to have their woman taken from them (game even makes an inside joke about how the town is 90% women anyway). It's tough to get a gauge on how much of MC's appeal is inherent, and how much is down to the competition being complete wastes of oxygen. Would be great to have a woman who starts out not thinking MC is the shit, but gets won over. That'd make a very engaging character arc for me. And I don't mean like Polly, who seems to be a tsundere type who seems like she's acting up because she wants someone to put her in her place.
Agree with Moonbox that the netori needs to have good buildup for a strong payoff (although the game's quick netori encounters are pretty scorching as well). Priya's progress has been great so far. The only thing I'd add is that since all the women are involved with losers, the netori almost comes off as noble at the moment. Would be nice for a couple of encounters to use the 'wrongness' factor of netori, where you mess with a woman who's not necessarily in a dead-end relationship. Of course, the game's current feelgood harem scenario might not tolerate bringing someone like into the fold, but it could work for some more casual encounters that the others don't need to know about. Presumptuous, I know ... doesn't hurt to wish, though.
Also, the meeting with Minnie made me feel like the game has a strand of Bad Teacher in its DNA, which was great. Glad to see this one is progressing nicely and doesn't seem like it'll meet the same fate as that one.
