My main goal in this game is to get rid off Sandra, almost the most boring character i've witnessed across the games i've played and enjoyed.

Not sure what I'm feeling right now. Just know we're in the guessing..middle of the story so there's a lot we still don't know. Enjoying the characters, the sex, the story.

This update was...weird. We got the first clue that Haley's interested in a bearding relationship. The passive MC was passive, but there's something brewing. The breakthrough moment with Adriana was earned, and it's fascinating that she knows enough about Victor to give the MC this advice.

Finger on the pause button. There's a lot to fix. I see it coming.

Wow, this story really took a nose dive from my point of view. I don't think I've been this disappointed with the direction of a story since Amanda turned bitch mode on in DFD. I guess i'll check how this turns out, but I find myself caring less and less the more the Klaus thing is dragged on. And from the looks of it, this became the focus of the story, and it will keep being that for many updates. Honestly, from the first few updates this looked like a classic romantic story (with incest, since it's a porn game), that's why i liked it. But it's diverging from that more and more, and it doesn't look this will be my thing anymore. Too bad.

There's a world of difference between someone being evasive to protect themselves and someone who is being controlling. Of course, you would know that if you spent any amount of time in the real world and with actual real-life women who have been the victims of sexual abuse and/or grooming.

P.S. She never once tells him to "shut the fuck up", she just doesn't answer his questioning.

what questions? the game basically told us Haley has a mental illness ( she's probably a sociopath) and the main theme of the game has been changed from romance to Rapeville. everything's clear now

I disagree with your take. I do think it makes Haley much more interesting then the carboard cutout incest loving sister.
I do think she has some mental problems (Having an incestial relationship would sugest that!?), but I think she was deeply traumitised by the Mr Klause affair and does not want to confront it.

You say the MC is a Beta? So what would you differently apart from breaking it off? She is clearly not ready to talk about it. Nothing you do at this stage is going to change her mind.

It basically comes down to, would you be willing to put up with her shit? At this stage, it's still a massive yes from me. I can see that some people would break up with someone at the first sign of issues, but that's not me.

in a real life scenario the pedo teacher would have his ass raped in prison by now many many times and the mc would hold an intervention for Haley trying to make her understand that she's not okay and she needs professional help to come to terms on what she experienced as a kid and the fact that its now affecting her life and the ones near her (mc,their mom etc). In a real life scenario would you seriously let that slide and wait until the one you love decides to talk?

Yes, I would definitely not push her to do what she is not ready to confront yet...You have no evidence of anything accept Haley's word... Getting the police involved without Haley's co-operation seems a bit dumb to me and No, he would not be in prison then.

And what exactly is a "classical romantic story"? One without any drama where the characters are just one-dimensional objects with no thoughts, feelings, or history? Every "classical romantic story" that is any good has characters with troubled pasts, character flaws, quirks, etc. They aren't perfect depictions of men and women, they're reflective of a whole spectrum of different personalities, views, life experiences, etc, that exist in our society. What's happening here is no different.

The dev could have just made this a simple love story and ended it there, but clearly they're wanting to make a deeper character study to give these characters more depth and their choices more weight, and that's OK. Perhaps what happened back then explains why Haley is so attracted to her brother, why she wants to be with him, and that's what the dev is doing here. Perhaps, at the end, this is going to be something that pays off in a really satisfying and possibly emotional way that makes this one of the best VNs out there.

Too many people are now dismissing this VN on silly grounds like this whole "beta cuck" bullshit or a dark element of a character's past being revealed that suddenly makes the story less appealing when it actually gives it far more depth than most other adult games and VNs.

I've been following this story silently for a few months now. I liked it. Didn't love it, but I did think it was good. I still think it's pretty good. Like everyone else, the Klaus revelation bothered me, but for a different reason than the rest. For me, I don't care to know who my partner has fucked in the past. What does that do for me? What does that do for her? Throwing out the Klaus portion for a minute, if neither side is into cucking or sharing, no one has anything to gain from that shit, so why talk about it at all? And then it turned out to be statutory rape. What? Why? How? Did I miss something throughout the story? It was certainly a bombshell but not in a way that felt properly executed.

Do I think the story or Haley suffers from the revelation? No. If anything, Haley is more interesting because of this revelation now than she was before, cause let's be honest, she was your stereotypical incest option with a quippy personality before the reveal. Now, there is more of a reason to discuss her character outside of fawning for such a likable character and incest routes.

No, I think the story suffers from it being poorly executed. The scenario didn't warrant such a conversation to begin with and even then, it felt out of nowhere, unless this was teased properly and I just missed that dialogue. It felt like it was written that way because the writer couldn't think of a more efficient way to reveal it. "So since we just had sex for the first time together, let's talk about your previous partners." I don't think that happens often unless the couple gets off on it.

I felt like maybe it was meant to be foreshadowed through how the mother treats Haley, but it doesn't feel like that's enough. Before v0.55, I had no reason to suspect that the story would turn this direction and that spells out bad foreshadowing, again, unless I missed something, then that would obviously be my fault for my lack of attention.

Anyways, I'm fine with this update. I don't hate the direction it's taking, I just don't think it should be dragged out. This character arc just started and it's already running into problems. Drag it out and it will just go downhill from here.
