I said it three years ago when that news came out that this was a glorified Kinetic novel than an actual VN. I lost interest because of it. I just look at the new content every few updates.
Glorified kinetic novel? arent there like 3-4 different paths you can go on?

It's all superficial if all roads lead to Emily unless those plans have changed.
You seem to interpret the concept of kinetic novel too broadly. As I understand it, KN is when there are no branches at all.
But I agree that it's a rather odd idea to bring everything to one point at the end.
We can only thank God that the developer didn't choose to end it Louis route.

I know what a kinetic novel is, which why I called it a "glorified" one, if the choices end up being entirely superficial and all roads still lead to one LI and ending it might as well be.

What about all the moments in between, isnt that why we read visual novels? Is the ending all people care about?

And again, if the choices ultimately don't matter and are nothing but window dressing, what's the point? It's an illusion of choice not too different from the criticisms paid on Bioware RPGs for decades.

You kind of forget that the game has three routes: "Emily love", "Emily corruption" and the one without Emily at the end. Choices DO matter in this game, it's only not to your liking (you can't completely avoid Emily now).

You missed what I tried to say: The ending doesn't really matter to me, because you cant play an ending. Once this game ends (in 2065 :KEK: ) then I wont think about it anymore.

I wonder why the ending matters so much? Yeah it is not a good thing by any means, but why does it seem to ruin your experience?

The ending is supposed to satisfy the player/reader. If all the choice is an illusion and it all ends the same then whats the point? Also kills replayability.

Say you're going for Ash all game but magically switch to Emily for no reason it wouldnt make sense, wouldnt satisfy people. I definitely wouldnt reccommend it to people. Imagine you're watching a movie where a guy and a girl have a slow but sweet lowering of their guards love story. And the ending it says "Remember that girl in the background he ignored most the movie? Well he leaves the girl you got to know and ends up with her for...reasons."

The ending is supposed to satisfy the one that writes the story. We either enjoy it or we don't.

You remind me of the HS English teacher/frustrated author that always puts their own meaning into a story, even if the author is on record saying it means exactly the opposite thing. They're the kind that gives their students failing grades if they think for themselves and don't parrot back exactly what the teacher wants to hear. They are pathetic creatures and I'd pity them if they weren't also awful.

First of all, the choices in this game aren't an illusion, they change the story/route, just because there is only one girl the MC can end up with doesn't mean the choices dont matter.
Second, the point is to read and enjoy the game, is the ending all you care about?

True, the writer being the most important is a given. Doesn't mean the ending should be railroaded that hard. Your odd little jab about terrible teachers given you literally know nothing about me aside, I see you enjoy Unbroken. You're telling me you wouldn't be a little disappointed if no matter your choice of LI the end was "And he married Amrit. The end"?

There will always be unhappy people. If there was an ending with someone else, those who want Emily (and others whose LI was not chosen as the ending) would be unhappy. Of course, the problem could have been solved with multiple endings, but that's what the developer decided, and there's nothing we can do about it. And not that he hid it until the last moment, it has long been known that Emily will be the only one in the end (well, there is an ending without her, too). There's no point in making a big fuss about it.

But you're forgetting the main point - the ending is still a long way off. If it ever does.
