I believe there might be a couple of exceptions, but if there isn't a "Talk" option after about 3 days since the last one, that usually means you might have to "talk" to someone else for a little bit. The only other thing is to try to build their "Exhibition" trait (for those that have them) as fast as possible because that may help with some of the Events, not to mention you're likely to get some extra scenes in a few cases.
Runey could probably answer this better, but from what he's said v1.0 should have some sort of ending; however, there's been talk of a possible sequel. One reason given for a possible sequel is that Runey has been trying to avoid making the game [physically] too big so may need to break up some things into two parts to try to save space.
Did you play the previous version with Lain's mod, and are you playing the current version (v0.10.2) with the current version of the mod?

This is often caused by trying to load a save that was made with a modded game into an un-modded game or incompatible mod versions. Was either your your older game, or the current (v0.10.2), modded?

The down side of freeing the elves is that we just built this whole sancutuary thing, even though we can repurpose it, it seems a bit wasteful to free them so soon. I have a feeling that is going to be a while yet. ...though I have been wrong before.

Yes. Just make sure you download the latest version of the mod because the previous version won't work.
the "sequel" is probably a year or 3 off. but if or when it happens I hope its just a continuation. honestly I think this game permanently raised my bar for the quality of porn I "consume"...........well that and covid really ruined alot of my plans this year
