is grinding in this still as annoying as ever? i remember in like version 0.18 it took FOREVER to get anywhere, even with cheat engine.
Yes, yes it is... I am trying to think of a term beyond horribad to describe it, and it's tough. The game is high quality, going by UI design, overall design language and barely any writing mistakes. Lots of content added among a decent amount of CG, but the incredibly annoying mechanics and the rng completely ruin your experience. I'm not going into details as you're probably already aware, but even if you wanted to check out the new parts, don't bother. I'm sure the devs put a lot of hard work into it, but they fucking hate the player. The grind and the rng are simply not worth it, even if everything else is top-notch.

This is pretty much spot on with how I feel about this game. I love it, because it's production value is top-notch, but the grinding and RNG are a major pain. The worst part, is that if I want to be able skip the grind, it's a $20 pledge (or wait until someone leaks that version here).

You know...now that you mention it, I think that might just be the whole point. Everything looks good in terms of UI and artwork so it makes the marketing ideal, maybe they just literally want to make the odds fuck you over until you buy that 20$ tier. And after 2 months you spend CBP2077 price bracket on a 2d game :KEK: .

It is truly a shame, because it is very well polished until you encounter the first pack of mobs.

l feel like i am playing a version of Alex of Solvalley School with a tiny dick, still dont make sense the game have choices or any girl fall in love for this this stupid pervert MC. Some jokes with him are not even funny like in others games that have this style of protagonist, is the only problem that ruins the history of the game

The Dev changes the dialogues in every update, but will also depend in what u say to her. The only thing that dont changes is the MC being a creep perv...

Sounds like another case of an amateur game developer showing off how amateurish they really are, because they don't grasp basic principles of enjoyable game design. They think the way to add "content" to a game and extend its playability is to make everything take 10x as long as it should. They think the way to add "challenge" is to put in RNG that gives you a significant chance of failing at everything for reasons that are absolutely in no way your fault. Like an amateur RPG dungeon master, they think they're trying to defeat their players, rather than give them an enjoyable time.

I see this in a lot of amateur porn games, and depressingly it's usually the really good ones that sabotage themselves with this. The lazy pumped-out crap doesn't fall for this because the developers don't really care about their gameplay and don't expect their players to care either as long as they can fap (or schlick), but when a developer says to themselves "I'm gonna make a SERIOUS game here!", they tend to screw themselves over like this, forgetting that the game they're making still has to be FUN. It doesn't matter how hardcore a challenge your game is, if the gameplay is frustrating and unfun, the game is shit.

I can name at least three other cases of high quality games sabotaging their own fun just off the top of my head. It's really depressing.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
so undertalemodtool has the ability to export textures (with padding enabled) and you can just use control+alt+o in gimp to view all the scenes at native resolution as layers.

A great idea with good production value executed VERY POORLY

Honestly it's too bad because this is the kind of game I would love, but combat is ridiculous. So many cool things that just don't work because the pacing is awful. The turn order is slow as balls and enemies have stupidly high amounts of health. No ramp up in difficulty the second area is stupid hard you can't even kill the basic enemies they have to burn out and give up basically because your girls do no damage. Am I supposed to have gone back and grinded the first area before moving on? If so that's ridiculous, I've barely started. Flowers in the second area dazzle you and you literally have no options and after 5 full turns the effect is still there. Buying the right item to cure it? Who is supposed to use that when they are both dazzled, and even then where am I supposed to get the money to buy those when I can't even handle basic enemies.

I am not a noob when it comes to this stuff I've been playing tough games since I was 8. Not bragging just saying I've done enough action games to be able to pick it up and I'm still saying this is way too fucking hard off the bat.

As for the controls wtf. The tutorial doesn't properly tell you wtf the QTE responses are actually supposed to be. It is not self explanatory and just like the rest of the combat it is way too hard right off the start. Also, the game just assumes I am using a Playstation controller and there's no option to change to keyboard or Xbox controller, so I'm stuck guessing which button is which and even when I know that the QTE is so fucking fast and hard that I can't do the coordinating translation and then still hit that button in time.

Events are also completely luck based with no skill whatsoever so if you ever want to progress in any way you have to save scum to make sure u get good rolls.

tldr:

All these cool RPG systems are in place with a really nice UI and some good ramp up to lewd stuff. I would love it if the controls gave me any options at all beside right and left hands and combat wasn't way too fucking slow and difficult right from the start. Would love to get somewhere in it but in the 2nd area and I'm already happy to quit and say don't bother playing until the game pace is fixed and early enemy health/pleasure maxes are lowered

The grind is kind of aggressive but I don't agree on the luck based events and the controller stuff is just wrong. You can change the controller settings to be the arrow keys on mouse and keyboard, I don't even know how you got stuck on ps controller. And all the events can be cheated into with skill that's what the wheel nudge and the event list is for. When you get the timing right it gets extremely easy.

I do believe that since this is a long project the dev mistakenly gears it towards returning players with the difficulty in the beginning instead of to new players (The tutorials really are lacking somewhat) but once you get over that hump its a helluva fun game to play. Plus if you're really that against the grind, cheat engine is super easy to use on this game.

But I guess everyone has their own sensibilities when it comes to games. I actually naturally suck at RPGs because I hate keeping track of stats instead of just playing but this game kinda sits well with me, better than any JRPG title I've played.

Not here to argue just point out that most new people coming to this game are quick to the same conclusions you came to and it is kinda the devs fault but it is usually based on the players preconcieved notions on what this game is. It's at first glance very RNG heavy but you do find it to be skill based to a high degree if you give it time.

I thought RPGM games had the most boring grind and slow pacing, then I played this. Even with save editing for money and following the wiki it's a slog to unlock content. You even have to save scum to see all the content because you can only pick one "lover."

Oh, and the long transitions and delays to everything. Weird how good games usually respect your time.

Well RPGM is an ENGINE, the engine does not dictate the pacing and grind of a game, that is only the specific game and its developer(s) that decide on that

Methinks the person wasn't saying that RPGM as an engine makes games slow and grindy, just that there are a sizable amount of RPGM games that have boring grind and slow pacing.

At least, that's what I understood from his/her post.

It starts automatically after you finish chapter 1 so now you get the bunnygirl after the gargoyle and first awakening
