So you guys attacked me yesterday because I had a dissenting opinion. You had me delete everything. Somebody even managed to get me to delete the review that I thought was honest and not against the rules. And in fact--when they delete a review you usually get the message: you went against the forum rules. And they put the link to the rules asking you to read them again. That didn't happen this time. That's fine. You have succeeded in wiping me out. Bravo. As I promised, though, I would take the criticism to heart and give it a second chance. And I did. Honestly and seriously. And I stand by my opinion. As you told me, from chapter two things improve. The sliding show at the end of the chapter actually gives some excitement. In chapter two the characters are given a little more depth. It took a whole first chapter to get to something vaguely emotional. And in the later chapters, however, the characters remain rather sketchy and not particularly detailed. For me, this remains a mediocre game. I had gone to change the review, but you managed to make me throw that one out as well. I was going to edit it and bring it up to three stars. Patience, the game remains mediocre and I don't really care about failing to rate it. I'm more sorry to have been attacked and blown off for my opinions. You have not made a good impression.
Your review is not correct or objective. If you had written a full review, no one would have a problem with it being a 1*. Personally I am not good at expressing my opinion in text so I don't write reviews. Your review is not correct or objective. Look, I don't want to get back into the whirlwind of the other night. I will say, though, that I can't stand reviews that analyze anything. I appreciate, look for, and read reviews that describe the emotions the reader felt when reading a story. And my review was exactly that. I don't care to say how the animations or renders are. A story, to be liked, has to give me emotions. And these I tell in my reviews. I try to let people who read my reviews know what emotions I felt. I think that's much more interesting than whether or not I liked the animations or renders

Dunno mate... All I did was pointing out that a one star rating was too low for not even finishing it. I could understand if you give it the 3 stars, even though I would not share that opinion. But that sounds way more reasonable to me.

Glad you came around.

Cheers!

I don't know man, ten of you jumped on me yesterday and I didn't know who to defend myself against anymore. Can I think differently without having to feel attacked?

sometimes you just have to let it go man, your 1 star review was objectively fucking wrong. Sure, you don't have to like it. Okay, you think it's mid. Whatever. So either you finish it and then rate it properly, or don't bother at all. We just pointed out that you shouldn't leave a review of a game after playing it for 5 minutes and saying it's trash. Because it's not.

you are right. i stopped too soon. It took a whole first chapter before things got better, though. So you're partly right and I'm partly right because it's not pleasant to go to the end of a game you don't like.

The problem is that people are trying to communicate through their review in a way that will feel digestible to the reader some time in as little words as possible. So rating the English level, the render quality or how buggy the game is; are all thing everyone can generally agree on. Then the review reader can decide for themselves if those things are red lines for themselves. While I do agree that what the game is making them feel is often left by the wayside it's something much harder to all agree on or that we all live with the same intensity or the same way. The EI thread is a prime example of that. Making it the main point of the review can make them way less useful in most cases. For example a review calling a MC shity for their behavior is talking about how a game made them feel but it's really not useful for many persons. Reviews on the more technical side might not be the most useful to you but they are definitely for most.

I forget what it said but I actually facepalmed and laughed at it but more so not cause you had a opinion I didn't agree with but the fact you gave it a 1 star. Because 1 star felt unfair and unreasonable to me especially for what you wrote.

Exactly that, the reviews I pay more attention before decide if I try a game or not (after I do a filter myself from the tags and the general info in the OP and maybe a few posts) are mostly on the technical side of things, the gameplay and bugs, how is it visually and sound even though sound has less value for me because in most games I just play my own sound and less important but still important the English level but since I'm not a native English speaker I can handle some poor English and typos (but not atrocious English of course) since mine isn't golden anyway hehe.

Then the middle part that is the narrative, characters and character development, story and plot(s), I value this but sometimes with a grain of salt, even though can give me a general idea if is good or bad or something in between, it also depends on the taste of the reviewer.

Then the part that I value less because it is very subjective are the humor, the drama, how made them feel etc etc I prefer to judge that completely by myself because what makes me laugh or cry of feel something is different from person to person, depends on their age, their background and life experiences and many many more variables. Also I'm eclectic, mostly I prefer a good story and those usually are my favorite AVNs, but sometimes I just wanna play a fuckfest mindless game where I can completely shut off my brain :p.

What happened? What's all the fuss about?
What happened? gino.pilotino said he was attacked
He gave a 1 star review after Not even finishing ch. 1 because he could not Connect emotionally with the chatacters and the story. Some of us pointed out this was unfair towards the dev.

He felt attacked.

Everything was wiped by the mods.

I think we need to be kinder. People have a choice, if he did this, put one star, and did not finish the game, then God be his judge.

I love Quadruple-Q, and I am very upset with how gino.pilotino acted, but I will not judge him
