is there a mod to fix scale issues like when i scale toy its working no problem but when i then use auto thurst with scaled toy it scales back to normal

Thanks for the reply. I know that the main focus of the game is to cater to the VR users, and I appreciate that. I was just curious if I missed something. If I had the disposable income to shell out on a VR setup, my questions would probably be more interesting. But I very much like the game, in the state my hardware can run. I also do not have the desire to spring for a liquid-cooled custom gaming-only machine. In any event, thanks for replying.

Custom, or really any form of liquid cooling is unnecessary most of the times. Like, you can do it, but you either have lots of money to flex with a cool looking PC, or lots of money to buy power hungry, high performance hardware that demands it and would melt and boil without it.

Heat isn't that hardware demanding, really you can play as low as on gtx 750ti and i3 10100f, but sacrifices have to be made, namely potato graphics in-game and ~900p resolution scale in steamVR. Also 750ti is an old gpu, so in some games UI is all wonky, others may randomly crash or not run at all.
However, it'll be a relatively cheap PC build and good enough for it's price, especially if u also buy a used cpu and/or motherboard. Just make sure you buy hardware from well-known brands, like MSI, Asus, Gigabyte etc. and not suspiciosly cheap HW from random chinese manufacturers, or you risk ending up with an unreliable "thing" with PCB made out of cardboard and ramen, and refurbished components from other, broken hardware.

RN I have 3060ti, 16gb RAM and same i3 10100f, is enough for VR gaming as a whole, not only a small selection of games like with 750ti. So I'd say you just upgrade from 750 later, or buy a bit better gpu straight away, and the only way is up.

Hello all. Really...my small comment about higher-end hardware was only to point out that not all of us have VR-capable systems of _whatever_ configuration. So some of us miss out on the VR aspects. Not gonna argue specs and resolutions etc. My original question was based on 2D functions that I can play the game with. Again, happy with the game. No complaints there. And may I say, thanks for the technology primer. I will certainly keep it in mind come upgrade time. In the future I shall be more to the point. Cheers.

AssetRipper for most Unity games, NinjaRipper for other games/engines with no specific tools.

I've used that one but returns me black models, and upon importing to Blender the textures I had don't match at all, like if theh models didn't have any UV/W info on them, is that normal, maybe?

Thanks. Truly, no offense meant, and none taken. Perhaps in a later stage of development, the 2D aspects may be enhanced. Like you said...dreams. Not gonna tell you what system I had before, you'd have nightmares...

NinjaRipper, 3dRipper, Unity Extractor... they all work fine.
I'm sorry to say this but your problem is that, you don't know how to use Blender.

After that, my question is: How you want to create animations if you can't assign a texture to the models.
I think you should start with the blender basics first.
There are quite a lot of free tutorials available on youtube.

After a few tutorials, I also started making models and practice how to How to add bones and character Rigging.

I'm assuming some of them are just deprecated, but I haven't gone through and individually checked each one. Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong?

Could be that you haven't extracted the mods properly - I gave an explanation for that a few days ago. Make sure all your folders are ordered correctly

Extract the .zip and then correctly move the resultant file into your Heat "Mods" directory. It should look something like this

Heat [Version]\Mods\[Mod Name]

In this directory, you need to make sure that you have files "[Mod Name].info" and "[Mod Name].dll", as well as a folder called "Windows". Some mods don't have the .dll file because they're older but they should still work. I'll add an example down below

It's a very common bug that's been plaguing the game since forever.
For me the fix is: Start the base software for your vr headset (if applies) > start steamvr > FROM INSIDE VR, and using the steamvr overlay, start Heat
May I ask which headset and controller you are using?

using Valve Index. I did start the game from inside VR, using the desktop view. restarted steam vr several times, headset, basestations, re-paired controllers, attempted to update controller binds 2.9.0 > 5.0.0 but couldn't. Haven't tried yet today.
Edit: Restarted my PC, loaded heat from the desktop view while in vr, now the right hand is missing and right controller still thinks it's a left hand.
Edit2: Deleted and moved game folder, deleted registry entries, same shit.
At this point I'd like to just roll-back to 6.2.2, but smart guy that i am didn't backup that build.

I actually had a fix for this myself and it was going through each one, with ones I wanted---First make sure the folders for the mods are one level deep so it would be "[Mods]--[Mod named folder]---[Windows folder + two other files]" for each one and only a certain amount of them work which for me was the second and third image

.exe in the folder, haven't tried adding heat as a non-steam game
