Well, the plan is to get a new state-of-the-art 3090 powered PC to significantly quicken production. And with gained experience, it can be assumed animations won't need to be re-rendered as much, so that should also decrease the time. It's very difficult to predict, but yeah at least two years, I'd guess.
All the chapters end with some kind of cliffhanger.

They are on duty, on an isolated station, that need to be fixed. One of the very first thing Chris said to the MC after he put a foot on Ophion, was to stay alert and be cautious of everything, because something feel off. Be also noted that the MC is the sole person on the station that have an infantry training, since it was his assignment, as officer, before he decided to join the engineering corp. Therefore he is, with Chris (the sole pilot) and Annie (the sole flying engineer) one of the three most valuable person right now. Anyone else is dispensable, including Sarah. They can be sick, injured, too tired, or whatever, it will not make a difference.
But the MC can't, it's a matter of security and survival. It's obvious that, even if she is/was into more than the pure domination, Chris wouldn't go further than what she do, specifically for those reasons.
If found, reading the comments, yours included, that people tend to forget that there's a story and a setting. The MC is part of the military, as well as Chris, Sarah, Annie and Kelly. It's not because Chris and the MC are the high ranked on Ophion, that they will suddenly forgot all their training and how a responsible officer have to act in order to fulfill his mission and protect anyone that fall under his command.
They can be lax, as someone in the Navy could be, because of the usually confined space, but that all you'll get in this story ; a more lax protocol and a friendlier attitude. And this is clearly established since the start of the game. I'll even goes further, this setting is voluntarily as realistic as possible. You can search on the net, even the clearance protocol when the Vanguard left the Intrepid, and all the talk during the landing are accurate ; modulo few really small variations because there's no protocol for space shuttle leaving a space ship then landing on a extra-terestrial station.

Oh boy. Well, it's a complex game where your decisions matter and paths intertwine. My advice would be to play by your gut and roleplay your character. Put yourself in his/her shoes. It's pretty much impossible to hand hold without knowing what you want in detail.
Yes, you can sort of juggle between characters on different paths in most routes. Much of the content however, has a high degree of mutual exclusivity with other content. This is a game with high replaybility that tailors to your choices.
Other than that what can't you understand about my walkthrough? Maybe I can help.
I don't know how you can manage 5 minutes without skipping.

For a fast reader native English speaker, it's perhaps the length of the introduction of a chapter, but it's clearly not the length of a full chapter. Just looking at the Channel 7 sequence in each chapter would at least double this time.

I have noticed a strange bug. I somehow went from chapter 4 back to chapter 2. The day events corresponded to chapter 4, but the night events were chapter 2 events that I had played before (drinking with Annie, for example). Then I loaded a save and did some things a little differently in free roam and everything worked normally. I'm not able to replicate the bug, but I remember it happening after Sarah told me it was too late for the trip.

With the quantity of work going into each chapter, which I applaud, mind you, it would be 3 years even with the quickened production. With faster production, I expect the developer would experiment with new things and grow the chapters. Furthermore, in most games, later chapters balloon in size because of the different, diverging paths.
From what I recall from this game, choices had an impact. So... later chapters would be by necessity bigger.
In the end, you can't have a small (or one person team) developing a quality game of that size in just a couple of years. It is not possible.
Which I knew already. Which means that I don't like cliffhangers in games where the updates are by necessity big. Many good games with circles of 1 update per 3-5 months use cliff hangers.
Sigh...All the chapters end with some kind of cliffhanger.
That's what I remember. I have hoped that the remastered / new chapter would drop this trend.
This game is too complicatet for a enjoyable rolling playtrough. And still no sex with Anni or Sarah. ( the only one i realy care, mostly Anni)

Damn, I must have done something so extremely, terribly wrong this time lol. Chapter lasted 20 minutes, got 0 clues, 0 scenes and 0 missions.
For me it was almost the same, except that I was on a mission to collect some pollen?!? I will try another path in the next few days, but at the moment I am a bit disappointed.
It definitely took longer than 20 minutes, but nothing really happened. Very strange.

Did you not play VR with the blonde? There's a (digital rape) scene there.
Or play pool with the engineer? You can play strip pool, so you'll need to win if you want to see her in the buff & do a dance.
0 clues for what? I solved the power issue. Go to the roof to check the module, then go to the storeroom to collect the drill & go back to the roof to find that some of the power buses are fakes.
The side mission is triggered by going to see the botanist guy, but I did not actually go out on it.
I think I might have left it too late.

My impressions after 2 replays with mostly the same path choices, Sarah centered, female then male MC, as i personnaly don't care about the other characters or hae any attachment to them. I also tried the engineer drunk girl back then to see options, and will try this chapter's save with her also.

You get to see her in underwear, which if you are older than a kid, is not really anything lewd. It's basically a bikini shot. Her undergarments' should have been slimed and removed also to produce an awkward scene and character/story development
or a sex scene seeing that she was clearly very aroused by something and she could have lost control and jumped our bones.
