The name? It's a three part word play.:) Some of the guys got close a while back though. Most of the buggers have settled on "notty" which seems to have stuck...
Hmm...this is a riddle worth taking a crack at...

So, on the surface, we have 'not travis' indicating that on a scale of 'travis' to 'not travis', Nottravis is firmly on the 'not travis' side. Seems simple enough.

Next, and knowing the general geographic region Nottravis is from, we can conclude that the 'nott' part of the name is a reference to Nottingham, of Robin Hood fame. Or, alternatively, a sneaky nod to Critical Roll as there is a character called Nott and a player called Travis.

Finally, we consider 'not tr avis', which on the surface looks like a keyboard malfunction, but is actually an affirmation that Nottravis is not, in fact, secretly a Transylvanian bird that wants to peck our neck for blood. Probably not a space hamster either, but the jury is still out on that one.
