no matter how much i wait or how hard i try i cant get the scene in the park to unlock lockpicking. are there any prerequisites i should know of first?
I might be wrong or misremembering, but I think you have to go to the restaurant and have a meal there first in order to get the newspaper, and have read the article about rising crime before Jeremy Hood, the thief, will show up in the park and trigger the event.

You need the Newspaper from the resturant as stated above. Think there are a few more events you start from reading that newspaper.

Can you get more teachers than those available at start? My classes are way over filling and creating new classes leaves me with not enough staff to teach them all.

Isn't the changelog supposed to be SP1-SP4?
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
What's new with SP4 ?

v1.10.0 SP1-SP4
Added some additional Teacher trait checks, some revised teacher room handling (it is now possible to assign a teacher their own office), and made it so that teachers are assigned to the teacher room at the start of classroom assignments (to hopefully prevent double-booking classrooms due to any old assignments). Additionally, added the new teacher office traits to the existing Teacher Room location.
----
The razor item events now only mark a single item instance as used. Additionally, the Shave button event now preferentially looks for used razors before using a new razor.
----
Altered the "Add To Dictionary" operations to have add/remove input links, and be retitled as "Modify Dictionary"
----
Reorganized some operations in UpdateStudentCount.ve.xml to prevent first-day enrollment of ScheduleHandlerNone NPCs.
Fixed an incorrect variable link in Ward/Measurement.ve.xml
----
Added some instantiation checks to various text replacement dictionary functions.
----
Revised the SPE chain a bit. It should now be easier to open (no school-wide Lust requirement), the Computer Lab upgrade event is now non-random, and the journal will show up (under "Computer Room") before the club is opened to guide players towards what needs to be done.
----
Added a new set of status effect modifiers, which multiply the current value of a stat (allowing, e.g., +20% Lust)

No not from the game.

(((Yes if you mod it but there is no mods for that yet.)))

There really is no need for anymore teachers.
40 students per classroom is all that is allowed and 400 max students are all you get.

I'm probably doing something wrong.

I had the first lesson from the thief about lockpickig and now my character has teh skill 'lockpicking=2'
However when I try to force any door I receive a message that I have no idea how to do it instead of the minigame.

Must i take more lessons?

Thanks a lot

Your skill is to low at 2 out of 100, more training is what you need.

Do i need to start a new game for SP4 if i'm playing SP3?
on the HHS + site, about sp releases :
"
"After installing any service pack or bugfix, a new game can be started without any additional work being required. However, to apply the updates to an existing game, several steps need to be taken:

Important note: Updating events will reset their state, which can potentially cause some problems in an existing game!
This is particularly true of "important" events, such as those in character or club quests, but less so of generic events like the chat interactions.
  • Load the save file you wish to update.
  • Click the "Debug" button in the bottom-right corner.
  • Click the "ReloadEvents" tab.
  • Click the "Add Changed Events" button near the top of the menu (just under the tab list).
  • Click the "Refresh Files" button near the bottom of the menu."

Not really... I don't see any change that would require a hard re-start... but you have to realize most of the changes load up on a new save. And... someone ninja-ed the response. Do what the user above wrote.
You should be good with any event that didn't proc yet, the sp4 changes are bug fixes, mostly, but there's also easier access to a certain club.

How Many SP will be update ?
Already 2 minor bugfix packs on the dev site, not enough to call them SP as dev said.
It means, we can at least get a SP5 I think.
I haven't read everything on HHS+ but haven't seen any indication on the number of SP.

As many as it takes to fix all the bugs.

Fixed 2 problems and 4 more pop up.
140 of 165 issue(s) resolved. Progress (84%).
15 more problems with at least 3-4 major ones being looked at.

Ok thx , I didn't dl the game yet, I'll wait for the final 1.10 to be ready.
I haven't played this game for at least 2 years and I'm so happy it's worked on again !
That's why I follow it HH.com and here. :sneaky:
btw thx for the help you provide everybody here, half the people forget to thank, they don't even bother letting a like on the post that helped them, just to let know they read it ... it seems there's a bunch of spoiled brats roaming around here.
Take care.

I've started playing this game lately. And I have acouple of questions:
  • If I update the game by the updated content is this content available in, "old" saved games?
  • How and where (details please) is it possible to cheat reputation... Yeah I've read some post saying I can add it in debug... Adding it to the player didn't change anything, it doesn't make sense to me to add it elsewhere.
  • As far as I understood the goal is to make the school and city more lewd and naughty.
  • But it would be good to know what are other bad game endings except with reputation = 0, or not being able to convince PTA of your ideas (how many fails are allowed).
  • Further it would be good to know how often it makes sense to hold a PTA meeting I mean many times my teachers and stuff apparently agreed to my naughty ideas but in PTA exactly these people vetoed...
  • And what items i can ecchange/gift/sell for example i keep getting a (error?) messages for having given a dildo to one of my favorites...

Open the debug, on the bottom of it is the console. ADD
The goal is... open-ended but in general the town and school's corruption. If you corrupt the school, eventually you'll lose reputation because your students actions reflect on you, while if you corrupt the town, the students will report you (thus, again, lose reputation). Being too much in the red and a low reputation can quickly spiral out of control and are a few of the game over scenarios. There are other bad endings though... I've mainly seen them in the files and event logs, but it might be an interesting challenge to find them. They are mostly related to the PTA corruption events.
I agree with PTA meetings where you gauge opinions, but for now you'll have to do. Some members like things more than others, for example, the shop owner will be very against medical club upgrades, while the policewoman will be against illegal policies. So there is some individuality to them, at least.
The dildo might be a bug. Generally, you can give them drugs to use, porn magazines and toys.

I just hate how they ruined the dialogue in this game. It used to be very well written. Now almost every single sentence ends in ... (sometimes with multiple exclamation or question marks added at the end), often times more than once in the same sentence, and it looks so stupid. Why on God's green Earth they would take something that was perfectly fine and then put a ton of effort into ruining it, is something I will never understand.
