Development is coming along nicely. Since there's a lot of new stuff to handle in HC3, there are quite a few hurdles popping up here and there that make development time a bit longer than expected, which is why I'm holding back on giving a release date for the first version of the game.so... how's life?.. any update on h.ch 3?
Looks great, are there going to be portraits for the main characters like HC2?Development is coming along nicely. For now, I'm focusing on trying to make the ambiant world feel more alive, which means creating lots of NPCs, which also means commissioning a lot of haircuts, outfits, and accessories (and more races, like a few dwarves here and there), then making all those NPCS in Gimp. That's part of my workload for this week, as well as reworking the main map so there'll be a few differences between the MC's childhood period and the main part of the game (also working on the story, of course).
For now, I would say that story-wise, the prologue is about halfway done. All the characters have been introduced, but they need some more time for their relationship to the MC to be properly established and fleshed-out. I really don't want to rush this^^
Here's the first batch of female NPCs that will be added randomly on different time periods:

Yep : ) You can look at this doc for more info and a sneak-peek at the new portraits, although it is pretty outdated now:Looks great, are there going to be portraits for the main characters like HC2?

Hmmm, I wouldn't exactly go as far as saying she is arrogant, rather a bit haughty and spoiled, although those personality traits were caused by her upbringing. She's been trying to fix them (with more or less success) after meeting the MC. The princess is still one of the main characters, and she should appear at least likeable to players. I'm not confident enough in my capacity as a writer to be able to create an arrogant character that's also likeable.^^I am excited for the arrogant princess arc
The previous artist was Russian, but he disappeared around August of last year and I haven't been able to contact him since, unfortunately. So this time, the new artist is Japanese, which might explain the more "anime"-ish artstyle for the portraits.Well came back from long time to see progress on HC3 and now I'm getting plenty of anticipation for this game. Portraits look closer to anime style(sadly previous chapter's portraits didn't stick with me) and I like the idea of double POV, I just hope that partial one atleast leaves plenty of small hints and besides them NPCs too might help to get interesting info
Super used to seeing the same village/town setting in a lot of RPGM games, so this preview looked really refreshing. I'm glad you decided to level up like this.Hey guys!
I recently uploaded a short, 5 minutes long video to showcase a tiny bit of the game and story for HC3. You can find it here:You must be registered to see the links. The video is really low-quality because I used the first free screen capture software I found, sorry about that.
I also updated the PDF file with new info on the game (features, new graphics, etc...). You can check it out in my signature : )
That's one of the reasons why HC3 is taking a lot longer to develop than HC1 or 2, mainly because I put 100s of hours into all the maps, and they're all made in GIMP (Photoshop equivalent). Besides, all the buildings except for 2 are entirely original and custom-made by professional pixel artists for HC3. Since players are going to spend most of their time walking around them, I figured it was necessary to upgrade the visuals : )Super used to seeing the same village/town setting in a lot of RPGM games, so this preview looked really refreshing. Wow, love the new systems. From the POV choice to the impact of character choices setting up the appropritate ending, even the choice to turn off colored indications. I noticed you can see through buildings you walk behind too, which is a nice visual upgrade.Hey guys!

Edit: btw, I am aware of the typos "her hair are disheveled" (should be "is") and the missing "d" during the priestess' dialogue. It's fixed now, and I gave the priestess the d.
There are actually two screenshot showing the differences between both POV a few messages above, I don't know if you've seen them? Sure, it doesn't show it as well as in a video, but it's still something : )Wow, love the new systems. Looking forward to it and keep up the awesome work!
Okay, that's pretty weird since I've never heard it happening for anyone else. Glad you got it sorted out though : )Hey,
When trying to play on linux (with the browser version and the nwjs version) i get an error while trying to sleep to Lundath :
Loading Error, failed loading /img/pictures/Lundath%20Morning.png
In /img/pictures/ there is a "Lundath Morning.rpgmvp"
i tried downloading the game again and creating a new save but the problem persists. Any idea ?
Edit : found the proble. For some reason my file was named "Lundath Morning.rpgmvp" and the game was looking for "Lundath morning.rpgmvp"
