That could be a really good inspiration for some animations and work with the new sprites for HC3! Thats how the sprites of RPGMaker MV/MZ should have always been!

I dont know N_taii but maybe there is a way to get all the citizen and npc sprites? They look all fantastic...

Edit: Just had a look at the game, and really gotta say the sprites and animations look absolutely stunning. What great work from the artist. Also the variations and details. Wow!

Heya guys and gals, N_Taii here, bringing along a much awaited PoL post (or not).
Not much to say about HC2, but new HC3 stuff.

About HC2's development
I'm almost done with the reminiscence room. I think by tomorrow, it should be fully operational. I had a few setbacks during the weekend when people noticed game breaking bugs caused by the RPGMaker engine messing up my files for no reason, so I had to dedicate some time to fix it.
The scenes in the room will be mainly the same as the ones in the save files. Sometimes, I "compiled" the scenes that took up 4 to 5 saves into one big scene that can be seen in one go in the reminiscence room, just to make it a bit easier to watch.

About HC3's development
As you can see on the left of this post's picture, this might be the new model for HC3's sprites, and on the right the current model for HC2. I asked to artist to add some hair so I could see what it looks like with it. Once I have, I'll decide whether I'll use this new model or not.
After that, I'll still need to commission new outfits, haircut, different skin tones and breasts size as well as male bodies, so it's just the beginning. Maybe also different body sizes for different races, who knows?

Wow, that would be a really cool variety but also hard to do. So if it's not possible I'd still prefer the new ones - because they look good, now just adjust the animations.

PS: I really need to start supporting the 2-3 authors I currently have my eye on. I haven't done it before because I just have so many games in stock to play that I didn't see the point - but from what I can see N_taii and a few others are really working on the game and you can see a regular patch that isn't postponed every now and then. And now the new animations and layout? I want to be there - I hope they live up to the author's quality expectations and it has arms and legs.

Vaeri is the blue-white haired woman, right?

Ever since her quest early in the game I've had her question mark (from the meetup) hover behind Noah's house every Fridath morning. No person there only the question mark, and if I interact with it it will teleport me to my room with a fixed zoomed in camera (can't leave the room).
Not much of an issue as it is easy to avoid, and does seem to disappear when I have to leave the village, but it is strange.

I thought I had fixed that, people even told me it was fine now, but I guess there are still some instances where it's bugged, I'll look further into it later : )

True, they look really good, albeit a bit too big and detailed. You can see they were created for a specific scene and two specific characters. I prefer to have mine slightly smaller and generic so I can have more variations in the positions so I can edit them myself and not have to wait wait forever for the artist to make individual animations for each scene I have in mind^^

Yes, I'll just focus on the standard human model for now, and then get some more variations. To be honest, I've been thinking really hard about having a woman gnome as a side character (about 2/3 of a human size but with rather sizeable breasts), just for a change. Besides, I want the city to be a very multiracial one (because of its background, more on that later), but I'll see how it goes : )
I do hope players will be satisfied of the new game indeed. But for now, HC2 still takes priority. I will have more infos on HC3 in future months ; )

So again, just start the game and make a save at earliest possible oppertunity and you should be able to copy in and use the files I've offered.

There's also a bunch of saves in the game files, along with a PDF file with the description of each save. Maybe you'll find one that'll take you to the right part? Steps to make the save files work are written at the top of the PDF.

Glad to hear it. It's a quirk of RPG-maker, that it sometimes needs to be aware that there 'should' be a save before it finds it, always worth testing if things aren't working.

First of all - both game series (NTRPG and HC) opened up a new category of ntr games focused on story rather then art and made good use of the RPG Maker in comparison to many other RPG games that didnt succeed. I personally really like the focus on story telling and corruption progress much more then some good cgs which usually come along with huge production times and delays. I like to use my imagination and to read stories and both series made perfect use of this in times of many adult games that come with really great cgs but really bad stories, characters, and so on.

Comparing both series with each other, I personally like HC much more. NTRPG 1 was really clunky to play as it was the first installment of all. But I never really completed the game due to the unplayability. NTRPG 2 was done really well gameplay-wise. But I really dont like corruption arcs that right away start with sex. Also I didnt really like the antagonists, which were very simple minded and the character development in general. The ntr scenes were quite good though and the pixel art was done nicely.
Still I really prefer the setting and scenarios of the Henteria chronicles much more. The depth of the story, characters and corruption progress, the attention to details, the sound effects and music, as well as the groping, harassment and ntr scenes are executed perfectly. While the pixel art of HC1 and 2 isnt based on the more realistic characters sprites, which is a plus for NTRPG 2, the variety in the scenes itself (the different animations) is huge within the HC-series.
Also I prefer the stories of both HC games. Finally the length and the huge amount of material (number of scenes, multiple endings) of the Henteria Chronicles make it clearly the better game series IMHO.

Comparing HC1 and HC2 with each other I am a bit torn apart. Both games feature a great story and corruption progress. There are two big differences though and each game does better in one of both;

1. The female characters in HC1 have much more interesting and better constructed roles and personalities. While in HC2 every woman reacts the same way to the corruption and has mostly the same role (mostly they are all housewifes - even Celis kind of) in HC1 the roles and personalities functioned very well together and made the female characters and their respective corruption prgress way more interesting, eg. the valkyrie and landlady Eleonora who got a strong will and behaved like an ice queen and is not easily corrupted, or the stubborn and decisive and loyal maid, or the naive, shy and curious orphant Nestia that falls to the lies and shemes of the antagonist.

2. On the other hand HC2 has way more scenes that show the corruption progress in all its beautiful details. Also HC2 features a new gameplay element that really is a game changer IMO as it makes perfect use of the game engine. I am talking about freeroaming events of course where we are going to get a full update in august featuring mainly freeroaming scenes for the whole game. Those make the game really exciting giving a break from the linear book-like gameplay and let us explore the different corruption stages. Finally of course HC2 got a tiny bit better in most aspects of the game like pixel art, map design, music and sound, and so on.

On a final note I will admit that I prefer HC2 over HC1 a tiny little bit, BUT they both are very good in what they aim to do.

Finally, I believe that if NTaii manages to combine the strength of both games in HC3 we got a clear new candidate for my favourite HC game. After what I have seen and understood so far the game got me really, really anticipated and I cant wait to get my hands on the first versions, though we still need to wait a bit for the first demo to release.

On a final note - my only two last wishes for HC3 would be that;
first of all, we get other antagonists then those we had in HC1 and HC2 as in both games the main antagoinsts were good-looking womanizers and felt very much alike.
And secondly, that we get to see new kinds of corruption and blackmail stories, with maybe some sort of power abuse and money blackmail. Still love the usual corruption progress and hope we see this one as well, but I would also really like to see something new.

My last thoughts would be that I would love to hear more ambient and atmospheric sounds (like when it rains the sound of rain, city sounds, forest sounds and so on) to really create the atmosphere of the game. And more visual effects, like sun and moonbeams, daylight, glowing windows and so on...

Thank you for relaying the info. I'm sure the game will be fine without but I kind of liked the puzzles in HC2. They are fun as variety, and as little activities/adventures, and helps portray Noah's life/work contrasting the women's 'play'.

I definitely agree that more atmospheric sounds and lighting effects could be cool.
