to react to that emote-only response: it's probably the one emote that leaves you guessing the most. did you consider my post as potentially interesting and helpful? or do you think i've missed your point and made a dumb suggestion? imo it's an emote that requires some clarification at least. just in case, i did say that it's a stretch, and i don't think there is a game around following the concept of hero corruption to even close to 100%. for example, if the pics from real ladies without gay/futa/tranfsormation stuff are driving you, then i suggest taking a look at indyc's games, but there are also many differences to HC there. without context about your priorities it's hard to throw in suggestions.
I did mean to try Trial of the Succubi by indyc. Thanks for reminding me.

Keystroke is much "closer" of an experience but feel free to try either one! I'm always around for help and questions.

But yeah, finding the closest game to Hero Corruption completely depends on what you like about HC and with that many of us are happy to point you to other projects with those attributes.

But yeah, finding the closest game to Hero Corruption completely depends on what you like about HC and with that many of us are happy to point you to other projects with those attributes.
gonna take the opportunity to say that i really didn't expect to get mentioned in the KS credits like that. gave me a good chuckle when i eventually noticed. i hope the beta stays around btw (got way too used to the cheat codes lol)

Hero Corruption 2 v0.45 Released !

The new version of HC2 is out

Changes:

NEW ALTERNATIVE AREA / MAP SCREEN
  • When starting a new run, you can choose to start in the Forest, Plains or random.
  • After choosing the starting area, you can still buy the alternate area map from the shop.
  • As it is an area currently under development, the Plains has new enemies while also borrowing some girls from the Forest. There are no bosses in the Plains yet.
  • A new area selection screen has been implemented both when exploring and purchasing new maps from the shop.

NEW ENEMIES
Michelle

  • Michelle is doing some training, the fun kind. Care to help her?

Bonnie(Plains)
  • Bonnie is all for funzies, in her own way.

Bad Endings now require less corruption to trigger, however the weight of CON in this new formula is slightly higher.
This change along with the increased base corruption resistance should allow heroes to continue playing with a bit of corruption as long as they can keep it in check by increasing their CON stat.
In summary this should allow "lost runs" to end sooner while still being able to recover from a bad/unlucky encounter in a good run.
BE coding have also been optimized to allow for better interactions with possible traits or equipments in the future.

After two encounters in a single day, the hero has access to a guaranteed potion.
Previously it was possible to find a second potion right after one more encounter. Now the alchemy lab will only appear after two encounters, whether you already discovered an alchemy lab on that day or not.

Before:
Wake Up > Encounter > Encounter > Potion > Encounter > Potion > Encounter
After:
Wake Up > Encounter > Encounter > Potion > Encounter > Encounter > Potion

Not gonna lie, not sure the "buffs" outweight the fact we have access to less potions overall. It would be fun to have new mechanics who solely helps us, because since the release of HC2, the only fairly reliable strategy is alchemist + potion stacking and this has been getting worst over time on top of getting stronger and stronger enemies while the weakest ones get buffs too. Even new things that were supposed to help us, like side jobs, are much more dangerous than before.

Feels weird to me that HC1 had all those advantageous random encounters, on top of having MUCH less drawbacks to most "advantageous" mechanics, like potions or side jobs, and all that while having generally stronger lvl advantages than in HC2. The only advantage of the latter is the starting traits, but the meta for those is pretty much just alchemist to get rid of the unfair drawback that a mechanic that's supposed to benefit YOU has for some reason. Definitely doesn't warrant having to pick THREE weaknesses.

If i understood right, he made a poll on patreon and a lot of people wanted to nerf the alchemist lab, because of the alchemist trait, which was considered overpowered as it allowed you to get bonus 80hp bonus 60 lust, and all addictions and corruption at 0 or really close to it by day 4, as of right now he is not so sure, and has said he is keeping an eye to alchemist the thing.

The thing is, due to the current nature of the game, if there's no infinite stacking on stats, sooner or later you'll lose because of days passed and also get a debuff of points gained because you survived for so long (if it makes sense), besides of going Alchemist, almost no other trait is worth picking...
