I genuinely thought this was an abandoned and dropped project. Went to check the Patreon and it warms my heart to see it's still very much ongoing

"Till the end" might be an overstatement. Considering how the man loves his cliffhangers (sometimes literally), we might have an epidemic of stress/anger induced heart attacks of players who will never get to see the end of the game, sadly.

Komisari Didn't you say you wanted to announce the game update at least one month in advance? I also remember something about you wanting to do a "beta release"? I'm asking because releasing in 2022, and announcing it one month in advance, means your deadline to announce it would be 30 November? That way you could still release it 31 December.
his Public Patreon post does say the ETA is late this year or early next year so we might not quite get it this year
If I want it to be this year, yes, the deadline for the announcement would be November 30th!
But, the surgery has slowed things a little. The surgery was successful, and I recovered extra mega fast, but I still have my vision a little bit blurry, so I stopped doing events/progressing with the story. (It's slowly improving, so I will probably start again really soon)
I'm using that time to code stuff and improve gameplay, though!

This is something im afraid of tbh. Such a long playtime can be pretty exhausting. The game is already some may call grindy.
what is done is done. The dev decided to take a couple of years to release something this big but me myself would have prefered something like this big update divided in 6 smalls updates over time.
from what i've gathered the dev though the game was just too short as is so wanted to release chapter 1 as one big update just so theres something there, he said chapter 2 is gonna be released in smaller updates approximately every 6 months
i can see where hes coming from releasing chapter 1 in on big drop, too many games have nothing in them to start then end up just drip feeding causing people to just forget about it till its either done or abandoned so going from what we have now to a whole chapter will mean theres at least a good amount of content for everyone while the rest gets added
