Buried by a bunch of bad faith bitching is a good point. Sometimes less is more. And holding onto something for a long time can lead to overediting. That's just true. And the examples you gave were pretty solid. Lots of people deserve a verbal smackdown here for lots of different reasons. No need to go after one of the critical voices that put forward an interesting point.
I'd venture to add that the longer a project lingers, the greater the likelihood of overediting. I wish I knew the exact cut-off time where that becomes true. But I don't.
Because we don't have an update to play, debates like the one y'all were having are actually sort of interesting. It's the only reason I'm here, lol. Nobody seems to really want to talk about the elephant-sized procrastination/anxiety issue chillin over in the corner. Every time the topic gets mentioned, the conversation get's derailed by someone saying "He DoEsNt CaRe HeS jUsT mIlKiNg..."
Look up the history of this thread even i pointed him that issue multiple time. The reason the discussion always derails, is because how absolutely ridiculous and borderline stupid counter arguments are. You cant have productive discussion if all arguments is responded by non statements and simple incoherent ramblings. People told to Komi simple truth multiple times. If you want people to stop calling you a scam artist, simpliest solution is to just, deliver something. If not an update, SHOW IT that you are working on something. But what we get? Once in 3 month update on patreon(he just recently start to make monthly updates), great 5k$+ pipeline don't you think? Komi can't even bother to find 30 minute of his time to write the update on Patreon, to update us on the state of the game, while claiming on his discord that he is sick and haven't worked in a few days. A half abandoned Trello page, where people have to keep kicking him to update it. And screenshots of dubious quality, which suppose to show progress but could be made by a competent KK user in an hour. Komi multiple times claimed he do everything alone because no one can match his quality standarts which can explain the long time dev. process. Yet he never show anything to prove this, people told him multiple times, that the easiest way to prove this great quality, is to just simply.... Stream it. But Komi always coy about streaming. Hiding behind brainrot arguments like "oh its gonna spoil the story".

Here's the thing. Both sides have stated their thoughts ad-nauseum in here many many times now. No one wants to repeat themselves besides those that argue the negative side. There really is nothing new to be said in argument for either side. So, at this point, you have both the haters and supporters throwing out canned responses because they are tired of trying to think up new responses. You may think you are putting up mind blowing counter arguments but we've seen it all before by now. Then comes a new poster in the thread and everyone throws all the old crap out for everyone to see yet again. It's tiring responding to the same old crap over and over. Responses get shortened mainly as a "look, I'm still here" post with nothing new to say. Typically these responses, at face value, begin to look more and more aggressive. Can you honestly tell me that any argument has any real worth at this point? All people are doing now is pointing fingers and saying "No! You're wrong!" back and forth. No one is being productive, not even you.
The reason why nobody is having productive conversation is because Komi, doesn't want to be receptive. You can't help someone who doesn't want to listen or help themselves.
Kind of true, because of Komi proved for long time that he will not receive any criticism, no matter what people tells him. Best we left is to point and laugh at ridiculous arguments of each other, and eat popcorn while Komi burn down oportunity of a lifetime.
Dude, you are on a porn game website. Beating your meat or shlicking to animu waifus is nowhere close to realm of "being productive". Running some kind of moralistic high horse of determening what is productive and not here is kind of moot point.

I could be wrong, but I think you were actually talking to me. Assuming this other guy isn't the gem I painted him out to be after he used my post to say a bunch of tired nonsense. So much for the good faith and interesting points. You seem like a capable adult, so it's more interesting to direct my attention here than somewhere annoying.
I'm not here often enough to comment on what debates have and haven't been had. I will say though, this isn't Reddit. It's just an old school forum. Rehashed debates is just the nature of the beast, unless, I guess, the moderator community is super involved.
This is all coming out more argumentative than I wanted it to. But I appreciate what you're saying. I still think it's worth calling attention to the elephant. You never know when today's going to be the day someone finally asks for help. One of my favorite AA speakers tells this story. He had been sober for about a decade when he was invited to go give a talk somewhere for the second time. When he gets to the place he recognizes someone. The guy he recognized had been on his first day when the speaker was last there. So he's thinking "Holy shit, my speech from years back got this guy sober."
The speaker goes up to the guy he recognized and says "I was there on your first day. Guess you liked my talk, eh?" The guy has no fucking idea who he is. He says "All I can remember from my first day was this nice old lady offering me a cigarette."
You never know when or how a message will stick with someone. All you can do is keep offering encouragement and have a willingness to share about your own experiences.

Are you now saying you were talking about work productivity? Because you specifically said "productive conversation" which is exactly what I responded to.
