as i see it currently hes a lazy perfectionist and this avn is his passion project or a chaotic,over ambitious perfectionist

also there was a update/teaser release earlier this year, is it what you wanted? only you can decide
regardless you can't say nothing was shown/done in 3 years

Could the supporters be being tricked and hold on a leash whit the things that are shown?
possibly but right now i think/hope that sooner or later were going to get a massive content update
but i can be proven wrong, like whit a certain basketball harem avn (which imo lost its edge after the long absence)

in the end its up each and every supporter to decide if they want to keep investing or not
i do completely agree that there should be more content released to further the actual story instead off some christmas special whit future characters and spoilers

only time will tell where this avn will go
and if supporters actually do believe the dev is just being lazy or worse scamming just stop supporting
it will ether put on the pressure/need to work more proactively(whit a risk off the avn getting abandoned) or end the possible scam

He hasn't posted anything on Patreon since june 3rd. It's better compared to before, which in of itself is sad to say, but it's far from commendable. He's simply not consistent when it comes to Patreon. Not everyone wants to join a discord channel; if I paid money on a platform to get news/updates on a game I support, I'd imagine it would be reasonable to expect to get it in a consistent manner, like most other devs have been able to do.

And yes, some fault does lie with his supporters for enabling this brazen behaviour of his, saying stuff like: "take all the time you want! or f the haters!" Like, I joined this site early last year when I first heard about the game, and even back then I remember the year long gap since the last update, and later, how the dev boldly proclaimed that the update would come out in 2022. Flash forward to 2023, and the first game update since then was a christmas special, that no one really asked for, which also came out in april.

Look, I get it somewhat. You're new at developing games, and it takes time to develop skills. But it shouldn't come at the detriment of your supporters and fans that are waiting for the next update, and it DEFINITELY shouldn't take 2+years. Other devs have had the exact same starting point as Komisari, but he's the only one that has taken this long to update his game. At some point, being a "perfectionist" needs to stop being used as an excuse for not delivering.

Also, He never paused the patreon billing during this time frame, not even once. Which leads people to believe that yeah, the guy's simply collecting checks and withholding the game from people by working at an inconsistent pace, and rightfully so in my opinion.

In the end, Komisari seems like the kind of guy who wants the benefits of being an AVN dev (i.e potential high revenue to buy a house and a car, which he did with patreon money), but doesn't want to actively work on the game any more than necessary.

its hard for some dev's to be consistent aspecially those who don't have the support to go full-time
most dev's have 2-4 months each updates
some can get away whit 5-6 or even more
but more then 1 year no release would be a negative for me
only 1 dev thus far has had a 1 release each 4/5 weeks schedule and still be good at the same time and i respect him greatly for it (i can pm ya if you're curious)

as i can see in Komisari last reaction he clearly isn't happy about it himself or a least how people some people are showing their discontent
but i don't think hes that stupid to think its all bullshit,sure some people are just straight up toxic but some people are just unhappy whit the pace off it all
surely he knows this and its up to him to prove everyone wrong or right
hes cooking a meal ,its looks and smells great but at some point people are going want to eat or a least taste ,hold out to long and they will satisfy their hunger elsewhere

I agree with that. Dev times varies of course. In Komisari's case though, I don't believe the prolonged dev time is justified. If he was doing this part-time, then I might've been a bit more empathetic and and understanding. Summer Heat's devs for example, are in a similar situation with their game but not nearly as bad. With it having been almost 11 months since the last update; the difference though is that while they are working on the next update part-time, they're still able to be consistent and active when it comes to communicating with their fanbase on patreon where they're at with the development each week. And on a side note, it's also near completion with a release this month I'm suspecting.

Being on F95 I'm always on the lookout for new and good adult games, so if you're willing to share which game it is, then yeah sure, why not.

Well, I hope you're right. I just think that despite how some comments might come across as "toxic", this whole situation has been a self inflicted wound from the start and in my case I've already gotten my hunger satisfied from other games like Eternum for example, which I notice we both seem to like, nice.

The reason Komi is getting shit thrown at him in this thread is simply coming down to people not being stupid. Look game dev is hard, it is REALLY hard. But everyone who have 2 still functioning after cooming brain cells can tell something is off. Because there is no way he can justify all this time investment.
Look at this, does Komi make his character models? No. He uses Koikatsu character maker, he doesn't make and rig his models in Blender, it is done for him.
Does Komi animate his characters? No. Most of his animations are Koikatsu default animations.
Does Komi model the enviroment? No. He uses modded Koikatsu assets.
Does Komi use complex engine to create best looking game and it takes ages to learn and optimize the game? No. He uses Renpy combined with diorama software
Does Komi create some complex simulation game with many moving parts? No. He makes glorified VN with some clicking between scenes.
Does Komi actually follow through his words and have high quality standarts? No. A lot of models have clashing texture styles, and a lot of questionable shading quality.
Does Komi writing is some kind of porn literature masterpiece? NO. Most people likes it because it is amaturish. I liked it because it feels like shitty anime plot i came up with in mid/high school.
So what takes him so long? He cut every corner, yet every update, takes ages to come out, and contains, pittance of content. Adding to that his lack of relevant transparency, instead of picking fights here, or telling everyone how he feels tired on his discord, while showing picture of "progress" which can be made a skilled Koikatsu Studio user in 20 minutes. People are not stupid, they see what he does, and they sense that something is off.
And the moment it start to get heated and most people start to calling him out on his shit, he runs away claiming, that we are toxic. No, we are not, we are calling you out that all.

2) the complete chapter 1, it should have come out in early 2022, since then a lot of people have asked him to stream or show videos of the changes made and he refused, when you have an IQ of more than 30 it starts to smell bad. showing ervery 6 days a image is pointless, anyone can do it, it is not the best way to show that you have done something, much less do it once every 11 months like he does on patreon or discord the guy spent month without saying nothing only, throw what is supposed to be an sneak peak i guess, So yeah, the guy doesn't do a good job of keeping his community up to date with what he's doing, the guy spends more time writing excuses than saying what he's done.

I'm on your discord, I haven't logged in for several months and it changed a lot... for the worse: I saw quite a few images that were quite distant from each other on dates and none of them have relevant information on how the project is going, I've seen more excuses to why you haven't done nothing that information about how the game is going. Even trello receives the same treatment, either you haven't done anything or you simply don't update it regardless of which one it is, both just proof of what I say is a fact

At least I know I'm not being toxic, I'm just saying facts, it's a fact that the game is about to be 2 years late, it's a fact that you prefer to make excuses before reporting how the project is going, it's a fact that a Once every 11 months you report what progress you have made only to see that there are more excuses than progress: you can see it on patreon for example, most of the words there are "I would like to do" "I will do" "I will focus on" ""I will improve this", but you never say "I did this"

Most incest patches that exist are made by the dev... the only reason they exist in the first place is because Patreon is a shit tier company.

It works for the most part, but the Snowy Event that was released kinda invalidates it in terms of the story. The "mom" reveals that the MC isn't actually her son and that he's basically been adopted, even if he thinks and calls her that. There's still some "roleplay" for it in the sex scenes though.

That's something to fix with an incest patch though... not sure why devs pull bs like that though... stepcest or even adopted is still bannable by patreon...
