When you click on the 'About' button on the opening screen does it still say v0.3.0.0? If so you installed the update incorrectly.

Now you know why almost everyone on this thread recommends playing the game for yourself and warns that so called 'complete saves' are useless. You'll need to message whoever you got the save from and ask them why it doesn't work. For starters, I would suggest downloading the Companion Guide and reading it for hints, tips, spoilers about the game. Good luck.

For me, that's the hardest thing about making fanart. I can get the body shape and maybe face mostly right, but hair is tricky. I have ZBrush but I'm not proficient with its hair-making process. Daz's hair-making thing is great but it crashes on me too frequently.

Companion mod for Holiday Island 0.2.x.x beta has been released (it works for version 0.3.x.x of the game as well)

Hello everyone!

This is the current version of the companion mod for Holiday Island ver. 0.2.x.x beta and later versions (this includes version 0.3.x.x)
The mod has been created by Niceerotica and myself.
The mod is a cheat tool for the main game Holiday Island.
Some of you might already know earlier versions of the mod. So here is a list of what the mod can do and of what's new.

• the mod can always be used now, even in the middle of a scene or an event
• it offers a variety of option to change attributes of the player (MC)
  - first name and last name can be changed
  - all effects (good or bad) can be added and removed with the click of a mouse. If an effect has several levels, clicking on the effect another time will increase the effect strength
  - all player attributes like strength, endurance, lust, etc. can be adjusted
• it offers a lot of possibilities to change the stats of each girl too.
  - you can switch between outfits (use at your own risk during a scene, you might get crashes or missin g images).
  - room number, breast size, poker skill, almost anything can be made visible or adjusted
  - all the regular stats like affection, love, lust can be changed too
• every non quest item you can buy or get through other means can be added to your inventory with the "inventory manager" of the mod
• The hints section has been removed, as it is part of the main game now. Check the achievements app and use teh button "show hints"

How to "install" the mod:
On PC: Extract the content of the attached zip file into teh folder where you installed your Holiday Island main game.
On a Mac: Navigate further down in the folder where you installed your Holiday Island game, until you see a folder named game. Extract the content into this folder (not into the folder named game, but into the folder where you can see "game" as a folder).

Unfortunately, this would be considered off-topic for this thread, you are asking more about Daz3d than the actual game.
You can find a few threads on this site that are for asking about Daz3D tips, tricks, and issues.
Or you can PM the person and ask them directly.

Start by updating your game to the last version 0.3.0.1, the reinstall the mod and see how it goes. Link for the update in the OP.

Looks like you possibly installed the mod in the wrong place or incorrectly?
Not easy to fix by removing the Mod files as it depends where you put them.

The quickest way is to download and create a new game folder and follow the instructions for installing the mod and try it.
if it works fine then copy over your save files, maybe not the Persistent file as it can cause issues as some have found.

I use stock Daz assets - either directly from Daz itself or from other sources like Renderosity, DeviantArt, and Most Digital Creations - to create my characters. The trick in replicating (exact) or imitating (approximate) an existing character like the HI ladies is matching or approximately matching the combination of assets and settings that comprise the target character. To get an idea of what Daz assets you might want to use to create some HI fan art, the following post might be a good place to start:
