The community does not gripe about save file sharing, it mocks the ones that clearly do not know the game, not played it, and think it's like any other VN.
Put in simple terms...
- Holiday Island does not have a quick replay scene gallery (A few one-time events do have this, but very few).
- You have one-time events, that are story-based, so you can not go back to them again.
- To replay a scene/event you have to still have the correct stats/checks to achieve it.
- Even with maxed-out stats, all completed, your stats will drop with each day if you don't interact with the girl.
- It's a sandbox, game, so not linear as a VN, so each player can choose their path, choose which girls... etc...
If you find that building up stats with a girl is too time-consuming, the
Companion Mod (also link on the first page) will help with that.
Also, the
Companion Mod allows you to change your name should you want to.
A "
Full Save" as they get called, is never a full save, once an update arrives, it's out of date.
Then the cycle starts again, with all the usual "
FULL SAVE PLZ" comments.
This then would need a person to put the time and effort in to get it back to full, to then share it so other lazy people don't have to play the game, which is not the purpose of the game. the purpose is to play it.
It's based slightly on the real-world fact that if you want to get a girl, you have to put the time and effort in to get her.
If you want to "
bust a nut for the girl " then you need to put the effort in.
Most who want a Full Save want a quick "
bust a nut for the girl " which this game is not really made for that, other games, or other media will cater to that quicker and with less effort.
This is not solely directed at you, as you seem to know the game, but also for others to read and maybe understand why a save will not help them, and its best to play the game for yourself.
