What antiquated program are you using ? You can use webp pics in slideshow. AFAIC, I use irfanview.

Irfanview is another program I use, in fact I've been using Irfanview for over 15 years. I used Irfanview to edit the picture of Amy when I posted about her labia showing in the special bikini. I use both Irfanview and Gimp.

So you don't really need to convert the pictures, you just need a better viewer like xnview or irfanview.

I asked because as I understand Photo Viewer XD is an Adobe product. Now if it is the Windows Photo Viewer that was included in Windows prior to Win 10, that is different. Windows Photo Viewer can be added to a Win 10 installation and works just like before. It CAN open and view webp format, one just has to follow the instructions in the Guide on page 9 to add the proper codec. I know, because I have done it and everything works fine. Opens, previews, thumbnails, etc.He's on Windows. Photo Viewer is like using WMPlayer
