Due to the need to patch BepInEx 5.3 plugins to BepInEx 5.4 format, initial/first launch will take longer than usual. This is a one time thing, until plugins are updated for the new format.

If you have trouble starting the game, start the game once through the launcher (InitSetting.exe), this will check for errors and fix them as well before starting the game.

You can update the sideloader modpack (clothing mods etc) from the launcher. Just press the icon in the lower left corner of the launcher with the arrow to check for updates. I'm updating that more often than the main pack, so should get some updates there every so often

To add shortcuts to your desktop of the launcher and the most important folders for the game, feel free to run '[BR] Create Desktop Icons.bat'.

I don't recommend just extracting this over another repack, due to potential conflicts. Please extract this to its own folder and move over your chara, cap, studio and save folders.

If you wish to convert this pack into a vanilla pack, there is a included script named '[BR] Vanillify the game.bat' that gives you the following options:
 1. Remove only translation, leaving the rest of the mods intact
 2. Remove all BetterRapack Extras
 4. Remove all BetterRepack Extras, mods and translation
Feel free to use this script to customize your install, but keep in mind that using this may make the game incompatible with future repack updates, requiring you to download the next repack in full!

It could simply be that the material itself was changed, so it looks a bit different. But I am fairly sure that if you open the prop and darken it a bit it will look better, or lower the Smoothness some to reduce the brightness.

I did and it still looks weird:
It's almost as if the scripted dick is not casting or receiving shadows. I checked the rendering editor and everything is check for casting and receiving. So strange. Here is a pic of the thumbnail of the old rendering on the right vs the new one on the left. One can see instantly that something changed:
We'll see if there's a fix later or something.

We'll see if there's a fix later or something.

In these particular images, I'm actually seeing it more as the dick is wet, literally (this game and the one before it act strangely to wetness for some reason, giving things a plastic-like look), and it isn't casting shadows because there isn't enough light coming through the gap to make one visible (the area where it enters the girl being too dark for shadows to be cast, I mean). Those are just my visual observations, of course.

I think this might be a case of a fix needed to be done on the modder end, which will mean waiting.

Just updated to the 8.1 repack and I noticed this... Has anyone seen this before? Not saying it's update related but I also did drop a handful of Roy12 mods and user files so unsure at this point what's causing it.

It stays stagnant on this Ada character but flashes in and out about every 15-20 seconds on every other character.

Hello, thanks for the update 8.1 for HS2. The buggy eyes of roy12 newest figures Fiona and Lobelia are not repaired with this update. And my problem with squint eyes for the older figures (like Nagisa) when Fiona and Lobelia are looking normal after loading there cards is the same to after the update 8.1. Same Problem with the cards for AI Girl R12. So I wait for updates with the InitSetting, the next Version from SrewThisNoise or newer Versions of the roy12 cards. At the moment my Version is not on top, but still thank you for your long work on this game.

Make sure your firewall isn't blocking the translator.

If a repack update didn't fix the issue, it could be one of two things:

1. The card itself is bugged, there is no fix for this except to manually fix the eyes (if that is even possible in the character maker) or to find the cards and download them again.

2. There was no update to whatever is causing the problem (not everything gets updates in every version of the repack). The fix for this is exactly what you are doing, waiting until a fix comes.

I do hope that it was number 2 at worst, I hate when I have to fix cards manually or find them again.

Im not sure if anybody has the same problem but when i add animations together in studio the faces dont change/dont get animated. For example if I do kissing with 2 characters the bodies move correctly while the faces dont move an inch. This happens in all type of scenes so no mouth opens or expression changes. It does work in the normal game though so im not sure what the problem is.... I would really appreciate some help and thanks in advance

It sounds like there wasn't anything set up in your scene to animate the faces. With the game, you're relying on what Illusion programmed and they did the set up for the faces, but you are completely on your own in the studio (aside from asking other players for help like you did, I mean). I'm pretty new to animations myself, but I have yet to see any of my own test animations move in any way I didn't set up myself, including face movement.

In the tutorial on youtube i watched that was not necessary as the charas go to their default expressions movement if you select the scenes... Also if i do that manually i have a lot of clipping issues as for example with blowjob scenes the mouth does not "connect" to the penis which makes it go through the head/mouth

Very close, but not quite. The actual nipple part looks a bit too flat and wide in that one compared to the example provided by Mitaba. However, it can be tweaked to get what he wants.

So I ended up just redownloading R8 entirely because I was getting weird things happening with my scenes in the latest R8.1 release. Will be sticking with R8 and probably won't upgrade until like R9. Comparisons R8.1 vs R8

Weird lighting with Hooh scripted dicks and colliders don't seem to work the same.

It was only a quick attempt how deep the nipple can be inverted with default sliders. It was not my intention to meet the template at best.
Especially cuz in the template pic it´s not very good to see how the nipple should look like.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Honey Select. I have an Oculus Quest 2 and I downloaded HS2: Libido DX along with the VR version. I've only played around with it for a couple of hours and on the normal version everything look a-okay. I can create characters, I see all the custom cards and mods loaded up. No problems.

However the VR version, even though it works and controls well, I have one issue with. At the moment I don't see how to create characters, nor do I see any of the custom girls on there. For the time being, I'm stuck with almost a dozen random default looking girls and that's it.

I'm assuming that this isn't a case of "it is what it is" for the VR version, and I'm missing something right? How do I create characters and use custom characters for HS2 VR?
