What is the status on this game modding? is it just unmoddable or do we just not know yet?
It appears that a few people have already made character mods (Ganyu from Genshin Impact by pi-haruka and Le Malin from Azur Lane by Hitori) and uploaded their character cards/mod pack links to Pixiv so I assume it's doable. Mods that meddle with the engine may differ but at least its looking like character customization mods are doable. What is the status on this game modding? is it just unmoddable or do we just not know yet?
you can play as a girl with some limitations. mostly you have to check the futanari option in the character creation settings in order for them to be a valid selection. the game also will ignore the height of your girl when you play as them because its important for the animations that the player character be a specific size. Two quuestions, one: the tags make it sound like you can customize both your player and your waifu and play as a girl, but the screenshots say otherwise. Can someone clear that up for me? Two: Is there plot at all? Like a lot of character creators, the gameplay is essentially over after you spent 3 hours making characters.
You care more about gameplay? Great but this game isn’t for you and that’s okay. It’s for me though because I value visuals above all. Visuals is what gives me a great fapping experience. Also lil bro bringing up genshin, a game worth hundreds of millions. For one I care more about the gameplay than I care about the visuals. If I wanted visuals I could just go watch porn.
As for the visuals... I'm no expert but the way I see it Genshin has more than good enough visuals, it's way larger in size and has a lot more structures laying around yet has smoother performance. It's not just this game, pretty much every new illusion game has like a small box of a map that's more demanding than an entire map of a region in open world RPGs.
So I don't think this can't be optimized further. I really don't.
It's a random event that pops up. When you are walking around the building you'll see a girl on the ground rubbing her ass, like she had just fallen on the ground, talk to her and regardless of the option you choose, you'll get the achievment.and what about the "collapsed girl" event?
Not really, no. People were hype, the hs2 levels of hype were present and accounted for. The lack of MaterialEditor, ABMX, WideSlider... is what killed it.What killed roomgirl was the fact that was a boring and disfunctional clusterfuck. Not the lack of mods. People hated it at day one cause dealing with a shitty sims wannabe, that was way more unfun and extremely more limited than an actual sims game with sex mods, was frustrating and uninteresting. The so called gameplay only made it slow and redundant. And the characters were confined in shitty routines. And on top of that it needed a pumped up gaming PC to run with a decent framerate despite being very basic both as a game and graphics.
You give too much power to the modders. I for one play illusion games almost vanilla. I only care about additional clothings and accessories, and translations. And the uncensoring of course.
I just haven't seen convincing evidence to prove that mods has a considerate impact on sales to kill a game. With what we know, everything just seems to be pointing the opposite direction. If mods is actually making illusion more money then why are they trying so hard to move away from it? People say AA/KK are so successful because of the mods but why did Illusion move away from those games if they're making bank. Why not milk them to death? Doesn't make sense to me in a business point of view. Right now, this current game has extremely high ratings on DLsite from 1000+ users. Not really, no. It really didn't have a fighting chance.
Now, I never were a fan of RoomGirl from the getgo, the style never spoke to me, and the game was rather boring in comparison to other games I enjoy more, like AIS, KK and KKS, but that doesn't mean it was doomed to failure. The cheerleading squad was present and accounted for, and died out. There are still pockets of fans lamenting that games demise.
I don't know what backhanded whiteknighting this is. "Illusion is just shit at making games, that's why the last game died, but they're good at making games now so this game won't die"...
That being said, this one does have something RG lacked, it's Anime styled, and anime peeps have a tendency to be tenacious as all hell, so may work something out, but it's going to take a while before any of that has a chance to happen. Question is, will the interest last that long?
In order for the interest to last that long a few things need to happen:
- Illusion needs not to sabotage the effort. In theory they could put all progress back to 0 every update they do.
- End Users need to remain interested, which largely requires mods to be present.
- They themselves need to remain interested.
All of this is possible, but you tell me if all 3 of these will play in its favour with any amount of certainty.
I am rooting for this game, I love the style this time around. The game is absent from the game though, so... yeeee. I have enough interest still to work on something for this game, so that's something I guess, but I feel the frustration stinging and interest slipping. This feels soulless and cynical... and I guess that, in the end, may be what really kills it.
Some? There are 7 pages and that La Malin is ... pretty good and I think it have to be a mod for her clothing. There are some mods and uncensor in the work [You must be registered to see the links], so at least not all hope is lost. Will be some time before those are compiled though.
Yes, and five minurtes after installing the game the hype was completely dead. Not really, no. People were hype, the hs2 levels of hype were present and accounted for.

The whole "mods are coming any day now" thing played out, for months. Once that stopped, effectively all discussion around the game stopped where I could see.Yes, and five minurtes after installing the game the hype was completely dead.
Again, not for lack of mods, you can't have a fully modded game right away. Everyone already hated the game even before an uncensor patch was available, simply cause the game was unsalvageably shit.
This game is not "OMG whoa so great". But is a well known and appreciated HS-like formula that is very basic but work. And is a game properly optimized that run very smooth. Even now, without mods or DLCs, is kind of entertaining and pleasant. Way more than room girl for sure.
Well we do already have some clothing mods flying around, but I don't see anyone adding anything more than the usual clothings, rooms maybe and the sliders, obviouslyThe whole "mods are coming any day now" thing played out, for months. Koikatsu, a game from May 2018, was a frequent visitor to the top selling lists all until its delisting. Koikatsu, while being more of a game than HoneyCome, was not really all that deep in and off itself. It was fine for a bit of fun, but by all rights, that game should have died months after release. But it didn't.
Why do you propose this is?
Again, we find ourselves playing "mods are coming any day now".
This time around, I do think there's a CHANCE it won't play out like last time, but I fear it's unlikely.
I hope someone manages to do the prerequisite work required to get a proper modding environment going (and that illusion doesn't make that work moot with a simple update).
I really do like the visuals of this game, and would love to move to it from Koikatsu. The main game is... not there... but I, personally, mainly care about studio, so I can live with that... A lot of users can't, so feel bad for them, but nothing I can do about the game missing the game. Neither of the parts I do personally care about do well without mods though.
Oh, and about ratings on DLSite, RoomGirl had excellent ratings on DLSite as well for like two months, at which point I stopped looking. This does have slightly better ratings on FANZA than RoomGirl had, though the text of the reviews are echoing the frustrations this side of the world is having. Amazon reviews for RoomGirl was quite bad, this one doesn't have a physical release, so that doesn't apply now.
Yes, that's not surprising. Clothing mods, Uncensor, Studio items, when that time comes... None of that requires touching code... for a while. The problem is plugins, so the functionality additions. That will also come into play when item IDs starts conflicting and plugins are required to allow for more IDs.Well we do already have some clothing mods flying around, but I don't see anyone adding anything more than the usual clothings, rooms maybe and the sliders, obviously
