I hadn't noticed that.

It's more the purple colour on the bedsheets that is an issue.

Also, my supposition that the problem was the next gen skin textures is not correct, because this just happened when I tried to work on the scene this morning without any models having been put in, just the map and a spot light targeting all, and a point light targeting the map.

The textures on the bed sheets have gone the puke yellow colour I mentioned, as well as the bumpy wall texture around the desk and window. This happened without a save or load - the scene corrupted live as I was working on it. I am starting to think I might need to reinstall studio neo entirely as this all occurred in a period where I added no mods for over a week. It just suddenly started doing this and appears to be getting worse every day.

So sometimes things get a purple colour, and other times, this puke yellow colour.
So you meant these three things?
Bluish shade under pillow, yellowish shaded bedsheet and very rough wall texture.

Yes, exactly those things.

Although it is worth pointing out that it also appears on the female's skin at certain angles (just couldn't capture it well in the screenshots), but not on the male.

I see.
I think its lighting issue, the one from cubemap specifically.
I dont really know the bluish shade issue.
As for the rough looking wall, maybe you can try rotating the cubemap to hide it.
Here I tried using the top, second from left cubemap. You can see that I rotated the cubemap.

Unfortunately this didn't help with mine.

I switched to the top left cube map and rotating only altered the light intensity a little.

I believe something has corrupted somewhere, which means a reinstall, which is going to suck, but heyho.

I really appreciate your assistance helping to trouble shoot this though. It's bizarre, but Studio Neo is nothing if not janky.

Interestingly, this earlier scene:

Uses the same sort of lights, four different models all using next gen skins, and I can open it, save it, load it, and it has no issues with the lighting during a reload.

I have no idea what is different between it and all the new ones I am making.

After a long time searching on how to animated facial expression with ClipMan, finally I found the method.
No more jumping keyframe. It's properly animated.
Shoutout to DirtyDarkling in VNGE Discord server for answering someone's question about it.
You actually need to dirty (make it highlighted with magenta) the blendshape first before animating it in ClipMan.
Here is how I did it to make blinking and normal expression.
The face is set all default with blinking off in anim tab.
The downside is you gotta make the blinking animation by yourself since the blinking toggle is overidden. So nothing will happen if you enable it.

I was literally just about to ask this question!

Invaluable info. Thank you so much.

(Also as a resolution to my earlier issue, the problem seems to be certain maps and their interactions with my visual mods, and possibly also my GPU. I was unlucky in that the maps I tested to begin with, were all suffering this issue. I've since found a replacement bedroom that fits the story and doesn't corrupt, so the train goes on!)

I am trying to make some static comics and I am looking for some studio items like semen drips or saliva and others so that I can add to my character. I want to make a scene where there a semen on the character's breasts and also some on the male character's penis. Does anyone know where can I find such items?

Does anyone why whenever I create a new scene in StudioNeo with 2 or more characters, only the selected character is shown, and the other characters are displayed as blue mannequins?

I can load old scenes fine, and it will display all characters properly. This only happens to scenes that I newly create and add characters into.

I'm guessing it is some plugin that I updated, but I updated a lot of plugins all at once and I can't figure out which one.

Probably the Silhouette plugin messed up.
There is a hotkey to make other than selected character to be rendered as silhouette to lighten up the burden on your system.

[Guide] fixing dither effect in clothes by changing the alpha shader

dither is sure annoying, in fact to me.. its the second most annoying thing in game right after the over clothes nipple bump
but anyway, this shader can be altered/tweaked thanks to the material editor. for clothes, you will have to change the shader setting and force the game to render it in a different way. so select some clothing that has the dither by default and open the material editor from the left side window and scroll down until u get to a setting called "shader", depending on the piece you are trying to edit, you could select another shader that suites. you can also alternate the other material settings and experiment but make sure you save your char card when done before changing to another clothing from the same category or all your changes will get back to their default state. after saving, the card will always load your material edits no matter what unless you switch the clothing on that exact char, but you still can load it again whenever you want. this method can help you out but you have to redo the whole thing all over again for each clothing/item you wish to edit.

same goes to hair and other parts/objects, you can change the shader for each part and sub hair part alone using the material editor OR, you can simply change it whole using this option :)

hey, I'd like to get started on character creations myself but I'm stumped on the first step itself... what applications do I need. The chara maker listed in the first page is a standalone app or do I need to download the entire Honey Select 2 collection and install that first?

Chara Maker is one of the features in the HS2 game.
Studio is a different app, but included in the installation. So you can use it from the beginning with bare minimum of resources available.
The only separate things you need to download is called optional modpack which only contains bunch and bunch of stuffs for studio use.
