how does one get cass to like you while at the same time, get set as heir and have a lot of Elin points?
It's tricky-ish, but doable. You just need to find the sweet spot between backing Cass and not. Just pick which 3 of these you are going to do and then don't do the others.

I usually take a knee, give my ring to Isis/Aurora and Kiss his hand during the ceremony. And then you just need to get the more free Cass points as well. Promise to marry her, not promise anything to Arcadia during the council meeting, win/draw the duel vs her, and the most important one that makes or breaks it. DEFEND CASS during the family dinner. It's 2 free points that will get you over the edge.

If you want the exact things.

There are many ways to do this. Here's how I do it:
Magic backstory. Choose all the decisions that give Elin points according to the guide.

Next, a page from the walkthrough that triggers a dialogue with Cass:

For the king I do the following:

This will allow you to make decisions that will give you the opportunity to get the maximum number of points with Elin.
Ps:: You will lose 1 so that you have the opportunity to get +2 with Lockhart and convince him not to consummate the marriage.

thanks for this I got the scene of being named Heir once and didn't know what I did different. Think I might redo my main 3 saves to be named Heir now lol.

Am I the only one getting this bug? Does anyone how to fix it, please?

For more context: This is my first pt of the new update, and I chose to play my mage pt, I chose to have Cass alive and imprisoned (trying to "save" her), chose Aurora as the wife, and the white coronation. I'm also using the URM; however, I didn't changed anything in the script, I just saved a couple variables so I can better keep track of.

This bug happens at the end of the courtyard scene, where Elis can choose to either demote Conrad, imprision/kill Alaina or continue to stay neutral (status quo)

View attachment 5406255

This is the last scene before the bug appears:

View attachment 5406294

And if I click on "ignore", it jumps to the next morning (in this case, it's a scene with Cass)
Just got this error. But i chose Cass side when i was in prison.

UPD. Something wrong with incest patch. Just don't use it yet.

Talking about, how many brothers did Regis have? Only two? So with Conrad's older brother now dying of old age, would there be any issue beyond assuming a false identity and an unreported regicide? Because if so, succession would have put him on the throne regardless unless he's been disinherited by gramps, meaning Elis would be legitimate by proxy.

Not sure how much more I got to play but man playing the fix Cass path making me feel so bad for her more than before. It seemed like all she needed was some proper punishment to change for the better. My favorite scene so far in this game has to be when you hug her in the Garden when you get back from the west on the Fix her path. Funny thing is from things I heard from the other nobles / people in power I sorta of did did agree with her doing the coup just not giving her unlimited power of the council.

I agree, this is one of the best scenes with her.
I recently decided to replay a couple of moments with her, in particular, I decided to give her a ring and damn... it's magnificent

Yeah, I’m the same. After playing a Cass focused green path and a redemption Cass white path. I know now that I am never doing a red one. I fucking love Cass and I could never kill her. I’m either going to have her and Elis rule the world together on the green path, or I’m going to have him Fix her on the white path. Nothing else exists for me. (y)

She deservers all the love even if she does some bad even if some of that bad is very bad. I can't help but feel for her , for what the MC did to her in childhood then how the family treats her. I honestly I don't even feel bad for the rest of the family when she tries the Coup attempt because of that. Tho also helps I wasn't fully against it either. But anyways I got 11 + more saves to do

Yeah, I'm on board.
Cass is a victim of Elaine. She grew up with a father who wasn't her father and didn't love her like a child. Elaine then influenced her toward the coup attempt.

What I told you, or tried to anyways, is that your self-evident distrust of Conrad is an axiomatic failure on your part that leads to invalid inferences.
Conrad was raised into his role, was and is employed by his brother for years meaning his chances to become the ruler are at its greatest right before Elis' marriage, he berates himself for not being there to help in the aftermath of getting imprisoned by Cass and now that Elis has an heir his chances have drastically diminished.

The fact that he hasn't tried already is the ultimate indictment, because his best chances were before Regis had an heir and before Elis had an heir. From here on out it's an incredibly uphill battle for him.

Any of these points would individually be a valid critique to any accusations of his own intent to seize the throne.

So please, give me one citation, anything at all that actually incriminates the man other than your feelings and perceptions.
And please stop misusing words like mathematical and logic. Engaging with the subject matter provides a more robust standing for arguments.
Wow!
I'm genuinely surprised.
I have a feeling you didn't just misunderstand me, you made a conscious effort to misunderstand me.

Well, let me repeat myself so you understand.
I'm not saying that Conrad is necessarily a traitor and wants to overthrow the protagonist.
I'm saying that if Conrad finds evidence of Alaina's crimes, he'll be in a position to overthrow the protagonist.
Is there a difference?

What's so hard to understand?
That's why I kill him with the goblet, cutting off that possibility.
I don't understand why you're indulging him at all. The situation is idiotic. Conrad says he's looking for evidence of Alaina's crimes, but apparently you're not bothered by the fact that the result of those crimes is the protagonist's power? That he will have information that is harmful to the protagonist?

So where is the single reason to allow him to continue doing what he's doing? Why?

You also say that "your self-evident distrust of Conrad is an axiomatic failure on your part that leads to invalid inferences."
But you yourself provide no evidence of his loyalty other than the vague "he was raised for the role."

You say "as his characterization currently stands".
And what, as you say, can you see into his head?
You were shown his decent side, and you believed it like a simpleton.
You accuse me so much of "self-evident distrust" Konrad, even though you don't notice that you self-evident trust him yourself.

So tell me now, how wise are you to make such a choice?
I crush Conrad's skull with the goblet.
In the worst-case scenario for the protagonist, I am losing a loyal subordinate..
In the best-case scenario for the protagonist, I prevent the coup.
The risks and benefits are not commensurate.
So how wise are you to leave him alive?

If my position regarding Conrad is still unclear, then nothing can be done.
I won't repeat myself a third time.

Because if so, succession would have put him on the throne regardless unless he's been disinherited by gramps, meaning Elis would be legitimate by proxy.
No. He's not legitimate. Because the protagonist's very rule is the result of Alaina's crimes, the result of an elven conspiracy.
Therefore, if Konrad finds evidence, the protagonist will be dethroned, because the people won't like the elven conspiracy.

The logical conclusion to draw from that is actually to execute Alaina so Conrad cannot gain proof through her negligence. Because a secret is only ever something approaching safe when there is only one person that knows about it: you.
Applause! You finally said something intelligent!
Exactly! This information should only be known to the protagonist(or at most to blood relatives). So the ideal would be to get rid of both.

But why, even in this scenario, are you only suggesting killing Alaina? Why aren't you suggesting killing Conrad? Are you gay?

Although I can act as Alaina's lawyer.
Alaina is the main beneficiary of the protagonist's rule.
No one has done more for the protagonist than Alaina.
The protagonist sits on the throne because of Alaina.
The protagonist exists because of Alaina.
Her abilities are impressive; she deceived an entire nation. She murdered a crowd of people. She manipulated liars, traitors, and murderers. And she succeeded.
I would prefer to preserve her and further utilize her extraordinary abilities as a CIA super-agent.
She is a duck that lays golden eggs. There is little danger from her, because the protagonist himself is her main project, into which she has invested an enormous amount of resources, effort, time and work.

Honestly I trust Conrad more than Alaina still a bit undecided if I want to kill or exile Alaina. Cause the killing her scene is a bit over the top and feels like it's meant for an evil style of playthrough / save which isn't my main save haha. So I kind of sided with Conrad on my first main save , im slowly catching the others saves up before I make a decision on that.

Why so many people so eager to get rid of alaina or conrad? Don't you people see that get rid of one of them will only make the others become stronger? The most important is the power balance, since you cannot choose both then the only way you go will be just let them fight, wait until they are weak enough and take them out all in once.

Honestly I don't even care about being power or being King I just want to live a life with Cass and Elin haha. But honestly how I see it if Alaina was able to pull off that can of deception and change the balance of power to someone else's hands. To me that makes her dangerous and while she is a good ally I see her as a dangerous enemy. I rather get rid of someone I wouldn't be sure if I could trust that is dangerous even if they are my ally now since they could be my enemy tomorrow or Do some damage to someone I care about. Not to mention I feel like id have to walk on egg shells around her to not do something she Hard disagrees with to the point she wants to take matters into her own hands or decides im better off dead or out of the picture.

So for me there is to many variables and unknows with her id feel comfortable keeping her around even if she is a good Ally to have.
