Maybe later in the story you can acquire autonomy in relation to her desires. In this way, the path of the green emperor can transform into the red emperor. But these are just assumptions...I'd like to have Red Emperor path without killing Cass. Seems not possible though?
I thought it could be possible through white emperor when they explained them. Try diplomacy, fail miserably, take by the sword. Just assumptions like you said though.
