Has the dev team reasoned about this decision to branch out from the unfinished "Lustful nights" just to bring the same kind of game idea?

IIRC, "Lusftful nights" started out as a playable technical demo that suddenly "reverted" into a very lacking and uninteresting early alpha, and since then its lifecycle turned into a whirlwind.

Unless the dev has some convincing reasons for this, besides what has already been mentioned many times about "milking patrons out of their spare money", I'm not biting the hook.

They just scrap the other version of this game what the hell is going on?
If I was a betting man I'd say they probably lost a dev or two. I mean going from the Unreal engine to Unity is a pretty big downgrade even ignoring the fact Unity as a company has been fairly toxic in recent times so it makes sense that it was a choice based on necessity due to lost talent.

There's not even any scenes in this new version btw, you get fuck all if you beat all 5 nights
I played the previous version and the sex scenes were shit anyways. They were like 5 second loops at most which were completely detached from the actual gameplay as far as I remember. Shit gameplay AND shit porn. But I guess people keep paying on patreon so clearly SOMEONE likes this.

Edit: The subscribestar is making over 2k and they're making so much money that they're actually hiding the exact amount. I guess despite what I think of it the devs are in the right because they're making money. Shame because the models look so good it could have potential to be good.

It's been 'rebooted' like 3-4 times now. They pulled the 'our programmer screwed us' card twice now. I'm with Syokusyu at this point.
gonna be honest, if it is another programmer screwing them over, maybe the programmer isn't the issue and rather the rest of the team being shit to said programmer.

This game would've been "finished" like a year and a half ago if the owner didn't have a stick up his ass and fire the old dev because of some personal vendetta. It's been a giant flaming pile of garbage since and I don't recommend supporting it. Not to mention the discord is a complete mess and has some of the worst, most biased moderation I've ever seen. Even then I've heard the new modeler (who draws feral cub art btw) also quit the team. Don't support this project.

Game development is going great! Keep buying our merch and giving us money every month. We promise the game will get done! -Smug

I'm confused, what am I supposed to do to pass the night ?
It's basically identical to the old version: the neon bar in the office is your power, you have to maintain 3 different things - the little robot fella that rolls around (it'll get knocked over with no indication and you have to click it to put it back, the big power switch in the small circle room at the top of the map (you have to hit the 3 color buttons in an order completely randomized each playthrough), and the valve in the mystery purple goo room (it'll start venting gas and you have to spin the wheel back in place). Beyond that it's your standard FNAF gameplay; watch the doors for the robots, shut them if they get close, etc etc

Does anyone honestly think it matters if he abandons his other project outside of the moral factor? It was a shitty Game over Rape style H game where you spend 15 minutes playing a shittier Fnaf clone just for a 5 second animated loop video and various pin ups. Anything this dev does to get closer to an actual good fnaf H game idea is a welcoming sight. If nothing else the ideas can be used as a lesson for future devs.

I... kinda like the aesthetic of this new build. Shame that they still took a few steps back with no porn and what not but at least mechanics work this time.
- Poppi's Bomb mechanic looks fun vs the old version. I think that needs to be put on a Cooldown or something because I've had it combo me into a loss once.
- The Indicator for Nile's 'Look At Me' Mechanic is a good change too
- Attaching the Stress Doll to the Shark Girl is a good change. though I am not sure what the negatives to Stress is as I've never noticed any issues

If I had any gripes, it'd be with more clarity with some puzzles. Took a Game Over and a minute to figure out Maddie's 'Look Around Frantically to confuse her' mech and some of the puzzles to keep the problem bar green, such as the Switch by the Stage Room needing to be pressed in a specific way that isn't the red circle which could also be wrong?

Other than the girls, I am assuming the Microwave and the Robot will serve a purpose for future characters as I've only encountered 4 of the original 6. Shame that there is no sex scenes :(

I'd 100% agree, except the original game in UE4 was almost done at one point and was never intended to be more than a simple FNAF spinoff with furries. The original roadmap was like a 6 month period to completion, and they were doing fairly well in staying on schedule at first. Had they just finished that and moved on to sequels nobody would have any issue with it. But the Patreonbux took off, they started empire building with merch, and the cycles of bullshit and delays started.

For what it's worth, yes the current demo does have better gameplay and better looking models than that old version. But there was no good reason to keep remaking the same game.

Whatsh author, said to wait for a new version with nsfw content this month, and if it's not there.
Let's riot on their site.

The tags are a bit wrong, but I guess those are for (one of) the old build(s), not this demo. Cause the demo is SFW lol. The NSFW paid-only build based on the demo is supposed to happen in December or January (well, it's Jan now, so sometime this month). Funnily enough: the current demo is way newer than the latest paid version lmao

I don't entirely agree with this statement. I've seen creators who, before patreon existed, created and worked on multiple projects and then replacing their ambition with another project before finally settling down to finish one. The dude that create Hound of the Meteor for example, created Nanocrisis and Hound of the blade beforehand with huge fanfare, only to abandon the projects in favor of Meteor. People forget the chaos that is the creative process which is always full of turmoil and only human work ethics can either organize it or be as shitty as they come.

But as long as they still bother to pick up the pen there's still hope. At the end of the day patreon and the like are ultimately donation drive platforms, it's very hard if not impossible to get a refund on these platforms unlike if you were to pre-order or crowdfund a promise. The consumer must be aware you're paying for the person behind the desk's wellbeing over everything else, regardless of their intention. Go in with a hope and a prayer, that's all you can ever ask for in the end.

I think Ari's model might be too high depth? By the time you get to the first night with her active, the game starts using waaaay more GPU when she's on screen compared to all the others combined. We're talking going from 12~25% usage straight to 95%+ when she shows up lol
