A bit late on the reply, but that's not a 'second option' in the sense that you're thinking about. Those are the 'New Game' and 'Continue' options from the main menu. But when you get the marriage end with Hoozuki, she basically traps your soul or whatever, so the only option left is 'New Game,' with 'Continue' grayed out. Hope this clears things up.

Don't blame you. I used a save editor to make my character one shot all the enemies and it was still super grindy
