So I played the new 0.1.1 version and wanted to see the new content. I still find it weird how much of this game's focus lies on the whole "BBC/interracial" fetish. Every black guy we meet in this game is a "Mandingo" with huge cock while the husband is repeatedly reminded of his own "shortcomings" in the size department - even if you are not on the "cuck" route. There is an abundance of content of the wife getting railed by said archetype of black men and very little content of her doing the same with non-black men (except the husband ofc)... I gotta ask:
Is interracial/BBC cuckholding the primary fetish this game tries to appeal to and, if so, how and why was this decision made? Why are black men portrayed in this shallow, one-dimensional way? And why is it of such importance to the game to establish that the husband, who is white, lacks sexual prowess (as he can't seem to make his wife orgasm without hours of foreplay while her black lovers have very little problem to do so)? This makes me think that the underlying tone of this game is that black men are overall better lovers (and of course always have humongous dicks), which is at the very least (and for the lack of better words) very weird.

I am aware (even though the "massage guy" is not a real "scene" where we as players can control the positions) but there is still way more content of the wife with black guys. The difference is so noticeable that it feels like a conscious decision and I wonder why and how said decision came to be. Even if there is more non-interracial/BBC content to be added in the future, the question remains why so much interracial/BBC-content was included in the first two versions.

Fair to say there's a definite (if comparably far less extreme than others in that genre) race-play kink in this game. Also fair to say that the title & description hardly make that clear enough.

But tbf on the other end:

"After playing this game featuring a bunch of furries, I noticed MC surely only fucks a bunch of anthropomorphic fuzzy animals with huge human-like tits and asses that are very unrealistic, which is at the very least (and for the lack of better words) very weird."

"After playing this game featuring a bunch of chicks with dicks, I noticed all of the futas and even the trans characters who are on hrt, all have ginormously huge cocks. Doesn't make any scientific sense since estrogen would of course shrink them, so the fact they're so big is at the very least (and for the lack of better words) very weird."

"After playing this game featuring a bunch of step-moms and hot milfy "room-mates," I noticed MC..."
Ect.

I mean, kinks gonna kink.

Fair, again, to say the description should allude more to that (though there will be more white options upcoming apparently), but this is really a "don't like it, don't play it" kink situation.

No, it's not the primary fetish. In fact, there is a series of scenes in the new update (should be out to Patrons in the next day or three) that explains a little bit more about the wife's personal history. Nothing to do with race. The white massage guy and Hispanic woman are both already potential partners for the wife. Other non-black partners are coming soon. Some have already been introduced in the game but will be developed further.

I mentioned before that the main reason that Brian is included so extensively in this early version rather than getting the same "slow burn" on content as others is because it was easier to construct the "map" of the apartment w/ him in it rather than add him into the apartment later, after it was already coded. Otherwise, Brian's story would have been slowly built in the same way that the other characters' stories are being built.

Second, the writing of the characters, while still ongoing, should show more depth than you seem to be giving credit.

For example, Brian is the oldest and closest friend of the male MC. They were college roommates who met freshman year, stayed together all the way through grad school. Since graduation, he has used his Master's degree in Business to become a successful investor. He was in a long-term relationship and the four of them---male and female MCs, Brian and his GF---spent years as a close couple, though the pandemic shut things down a little bit. In the meantime, Brian's work ethic caused him to neglect his GF and their relationship ended because of it. (She's not cheating, just isn't emotionally satisfied with an absentee workaholic boyfriend.) Brian and the female MC **do not** cheat together in the game. They will sleep together if the two MCs previously agreed to have an open relationship. From the perspective of that open relationship, it "makes sense" for the wife to hook up with a man she has known for years and has a pre-existing, affectionate relationship with. It may not be *wise* to sleep with a close friend, but that will be something for later on in the story. If the couple does not have an open relationship, then Brian and the female MC **do not** sleep together. (If you get different results from the current version of the game, please message me directly as it is a bug.)

But despite all of that backstory between the characters, as well as thoughtful in-game story and ongoing characterization, you consider this "black men portrayed in this shallow, one-dimensional way"? It seems to me that I'm not the one reducing all that character development to race and dicks.

I would argue that there's a difference between the examples you provided and what this game is trying to accomplish. All these examples are either "niche" kinks, so to speak, or obviously set in a fictional setting. In contrast, this game, at least as I understand it, tries to establish a somewhat more "realisitc" setting of a married couple that is faced with a multitude of problems. From what I can tell it wants to create a story that could at least partly take place like this IRL. Considering this more realisitc setting, it would only make sense to refrain from broad generalizations, sterotyping etc. (at least in my opinion) - simply because it goes against said realisitc setting. On the contrary, in a more fictional setting these types of generalizations, stereotypes don't really matter as much, because there is no reality to "stray away from". Moreover, a lot of "niche" kinks consciously make the decision to exaggerate, sterotype etc. to kind of escape more "realistic" settings. Maybe that's just my experience and I also could be overthinking this a little too much but I wanted to share it anyways.

I don't know that I would say that my intention is to create something totally realistic. Gaming is a form of escape, so full reality is never truly appreciated. In fact, my other game is a bit more "realistic" in that there are a lot more intricate life-sim style management that I intentionally left out of this game.

That said, once again, I find it interesting that you are using terms like "exaggerate" and "stereotype" to describe the characters. All of the videos are of real, living people. Nothing is altered. I didn't draw people with "stereotypical" big dicks. Those are real dicks attached to real people. If you have an issue with their dicks, take it up with their genetics. ;)

"Nothing to do with race." - I don't really believe that and I will try to ensure that my reasoning for why I think so is as unambiguous as it can be.

First of all, I didn't only refer to "Brian" when I was talking about the omnipresent stereotype of the "mandingo" for black men (even though I am aware that the majority of BBC/interracial content atm revolves around him). Instead, I was also referring to Ricky and Shaun (although he has no content yet). What differentiates these 3 from the husband is the fact that they all have huge dicks, which the wife explicitly points out on various occasions. In contrast, she does not point this out when she's having sex with the "white massage guy". A similar narrative can be observed when the wife looks up the husband's favorite porn categories: when she finds non-interracial sex (between white actors so to speak) she will say something like "oh that's vanilla porn, which is fine but a bit boring to me" but when she finds interracial porn her reaction is something along the lines of "it must feel great to get stretched by huge dick like that". Knowing the backstory of the MCs and Brian doesn't really change any of this.

Secondly, my observations were more concerned with the way black men are described and in particular how their physical features are specified. And at this point i gotta admit that I may have been dishonest to a degree because I applied a bit "pattern recognition": I looked at how "Shaun" was described back in "In Her Own Hands" (a game I really enjoyed btw.) and compared it to this game's depcition of black men. Now, Shaun is the literal archetype of all the sterotypes around black men I described in my other comment - he is portrayed as tall, extremely athletic, can dance skillfully almost inhumanely charismatic with a deep voice and most importantly he has a huge penis. Parts of Shaun's route in IHOH feel straight up like race fetish porn (which may be the reason I dislike his route the most in IHOH). Since there isn't much "Shaun content" in ITOH atm there are only certain aspects we can directly compare with regards to Shaun. But it seems his character is consistent in ITOH - once again he is insanely athletic, and almost naturally turns the wife on with his deep voice and irresistible charisma. A lot of Shaun's "traits" can be easily assigned to the other depictions of black men in ITOH: Ricky and Brian both come off as naturally charismatic, are described to be athletic (or at least in good shape) and, of course, both have very big tools.

At very least, this in itself should make one suspiscious of the depictions of black men but then I looked up how white guys are described in IHOH (since the isn't really any content of white guys in ITOH yet besides the husband - who is overall rather described as limpy and sexually insufficient): James, Bobby... it doesn't really matter - they all are described as attractive of course but they aren't quite as "tall", don't have the deep charismatic voice and are especially not as "well-endowed" as Shaun. In fact, the game goes out of it's way to mention that Bobby for example has a "considerable" size or "just the right size" - the game is one step away from calling it a "boyfriend dick". When Becca (the MC of IHOH) is about to have sex with Shaun for the first time there is this short but insightful part of her inner monologue: "I knew it was going to be unlike anything I had ever experienced. And my body was craving it." That's interesting isn't it? - All of the white dudes they are to some degree interchangable, what really is different is the "black man" - "unlike anything I had ever experienced". I don't wanna dive too deep into this but this core concept of blackness as the "other" is always present in both of these games whenever a black man is around. The "other" is believed to provide a "unique", a different (sexual) experience - this is the essence of any kind of race fetish.

Let me finish by pointing out that I don't think you or anyone working with these types of depictions is outright racist or anything. These modes of thought of how we think about "black" and "white" are often a subtle part of societal conditioning with regards to "races" etc.

Again, I would somewhat disagree: The videos/gifs you use in your porn game are (shocker!) porn videos/gifs. And porn doesn't reflect reality - obviously. And especially the porn you use for your game (from Blacked and other interracial fetish sides) is shot from certain angles, with certain lighting and also reworked by professional editors etc. to emphasize the size of the male actor's penis. I think I don't have to point out that that the average black dude is not "built" like a black porn star. In fact, sides like Blacked and other interracial fetish sides only cast male talent that fits the stereotype of the "Mandingo" - this in itself is a reflection and also confirmation of the dynamics I described. They are based on these sterotypes and they also work to reproduce them.

Probably are, tbh. There's a such thing as "magical realism" too, after all. I trust most anyone can separate exaggeration (for the purposes of kink) from reality, which is really what that sort of thing is. Anyone who can't has a hell of a lot more problems than just "problematic" porn & likely needs some serious medications and psychological monitoring.

I can understand not liking a kink or scenario, but that just means it's not for you and you can move on. This is not the appropriate place to be policing others for things that aren't your taste.

I've always thought that all these games are just games.

Even when the authors of the game write about realism and other things of this genre. There is enough realism in real life, in games you want to relax and unwind.

I've always thought that way and had no problems with such games.

I mean, do you think I am lying to you about the content that is going to be released in just a couple of days? Race is not a factor. In fact, if you read the messages from like a month or so ago, I actually discussed in broad terms the very scene that is now finished.

Again, I would somewhat disagree: The videos/gifs you use in your porn game are (shocker!) porn videos/gifs. And porn doesn't reflect reality - obviously. [snipped] In fact, sides like Blacked and other interracial fetish sides only cast male talent that fits the stereotype of the "Mandingo" - this in itself is a reflection and also confirmation of the dynamics I described. All that may be true, but it's still real dicks. No one said that Brian or Shaun had an average-sized dick (black or otherwise) and no one said that the reason that their dicks were bigger was **because** they were black. If this is really what you want to believe, then what can I possibly tell you?

Honestly, you did way too much "research" to try to prove your point. For what purpose? Do you want me to "admit" I'm a race fetishist who completely dehumanizes and objectifies black people? Guess what, I'm not. I am, however, someone who grew up in one of the most diverse areas in the entire country and dated numerous people of almost every race during my lifetime. I don't believe that it is weird or strictly fetishistic to include non-white characters as LIs.

I didn't write most of IHOH, but I don't believe that the issues you highlight are as prevalent as you are making them seem and I think you have read WAY too much into some parts. Shaun doesn't dance better because he's black, he dances better because he goes to the fucking club and dances every Friday. Practice makes perfect. Also, where is this "almost inhumanely charismatic" Shaun in IHOH? He seems fairly average charisma to me. In another of your examples, you say that she calls Shaun "different." I don't think that it is unusual that a person of any race would call hooking up with someone of another race "different." Look at the reverse: would it be unusual for a black woman to say that hooking up with a white man would be "different"? I don't think so.

Yes, in the game, the husband MC has an average dick and is not particularly great at performing his "husbandly duties." It's part of the premise of the game. That's why it is explicitly mentioned in the Preface. All of the other potential LIs are gonna stand out in one of these two ways, but they are not all going to be black. They're not even all going to be men. Have you not seen any of the content surrounding MC's boss? He also has a big dick and he's an older white man. Again, I said above, there's another story already finished that will be in the new update that also has nothing to do with any black characters.

It's an NTR game, a game where players either have to struggle to keep their wife faithful or enjoy the show when they fail to do so or give her permission to seek help. I'm planning on having a lot of different variations on this theme in the future finished game. Either enjoy the ride or don't. But there really is no need to hyperfixate, white-knight, or anything else about whether or not the representation is appropriate.

On another thought: Should someone make a game with a bunch of "meh" sex for the point of realism? Or "Oh, I cheated. But the other guy was only slightly better in bed & he smelled like hot dogs." :KEK:

No. Regular fiction doesn't even work like that. So porn definitely doesn't. It doesn't have to conform to your specific wishes.
The best way to improve a text is to read classical literature. The more knowledge you have of words, the richer the game of words and terms will be.

The volume of the text may not be so important if it is repetitive.

To add, moralizing porn on a porn site is a GTFOH. As long as it's not exploiting someone underage, using real rape or anything abhorant that's severely damaging a real person, IDGAF. This is not the place.

This goes regardless of what S&D's intent was or wasn't for the game. I mean, it's just a basic rule of conduct on these sites. There's no "Does Coldburn like it or does it affect his moral principals" rule in the TOS. Though I believe there is one on kink-shaming.
Coldburn is a new user, based on his comment/like ratio. Maybe he just doesn't get the culture. Or maybe shaming people is HIS kink so he constantly violates the TOS and has to start over with a new account.
:ROFLMAO: I think you should visit the kingdom of Slaanesh to diversify your fetishes.

Or, I know. Let's have a horror movie where before killing, the killer decides to do some valuable introspection. They go to a councilor about 15 minutes in & start reading a bunch of self-help books. Most of the next hour and a half is them taking their new puppy out for walks & learning a valuable lesson about themself as they take up water-painting in the park. Crisis averted, along with so many damaging horror movie tropes.

The only death suffered is that of the creator after the investor who shoveled two million into the project kills him out of rage when the movie tanks.
