I've been closely following/observing the destruction of the media for decades. How info is disseminated to control (or to simply get clicks), et al. Long march through the institutions. Postmodernist routes. Corporate Oligarctic globalism and the eventual unveiled marriage of the two. I don't think we're teaching each other anything we don't know already.
I generally try to separate it from my relaxing porn-game site trolling though, so I'll try to avoid getting wrapped too up in it here. This is my stupid nut and stupid joke time.

Sorry to say I like the other game, 'In her own hands' but so far I can't get into this (sorry) for the below reasons:
1 The title is more in HIS own hands as from what I've seen most of the wife's actions come from what the husband does.
2 She led him on and wasn't honest with him prior to marriage.
3 She makes it clear he can't satisfy her.
4 She's not interested in his day or what he does, only interacting if he talks about her. This should be 50/50 so if he asks how her day was she should respond by asking him about his at the end of her answer.
5 He works and earns money which she spends but no thanks. This follows on from point 4.
So if I'm correct from the guy's perspective why stay unless he likes being humiliated? It's not as though they have any joint property etc to keep him.

I would be interested in hearing your opinion after this next update. I actually polled the patrons to get a broader swath of opinions about the wife's character. She was definitely coming across different from how I envision her. So I adjusted a couple of things (the "your day" thing was just a coding issue) and have a flashback that I think puts some of her behavior into a different context. She's not perfect --- neither of them are supposed to be --- but she's not supposed to be perceived as a bad person either.

I'm not really saying she's bad, more selfish and he's very naïve and also was selfish in ignoring her preferring his games.
Also she's not really the one to blame, more that the whole wedding thing was a mistake on both parts, her leading him on and not being honest and him not spending time to get to know her properly. Also the 'small dick' thing may well be more a symptom rather than the cause of their predicament. I presume she was happy in their early days and if so if he spends some time romancing her that'd fade out, which, in fairness it sort of does currently if he concentrates on her.
The 'your day' thing being adjusted will be good as that just grated as it came across as him saying "how's your day love?" and her effectively replying "it was fine, thanks, but I don't give a s**t about yours despite the fact you're the 1 supporting me!"
Yeah, it took some fiddling with the code to get it just right, but I think the negative response only comes up about 1 out of 10 times or so now. The goal has been that it would be more common as the relationship got worse. I just didn't have the calculation right - the threshold for the good reaction was just too high.
Yeah I agree with what you are saying, especially the "small dick" part. One of the things that put me off with regards to this is that in most gifs the husband doesn't have a particular small dick and in others it's even pretty big. Maybe that's an issue with the porn gifs available, but it feels weird to get told one thing and then see the opposite in the next moment.

To be fair, her exact words are closer to "he's not big" than "he's small." I never intended to imply he was small, just that he was average at best (and maybe she wants bigger). This last point is the one that really becomes operative in this game. A large flashback scene in this next update explains a little bit more what (one of) the issue(s) really is.
I'm trying to put the finishing touches on a big, complex series of scenes. I had hoped to have it finished a couple days ago. But I think I am going to stay up tonight til I get it done. It will be released for Patrons first, with the public release in a week.
So in these flashback scene(s) we will get to see why she prefers bigger dicks? My assumption would be that she had 'bigger' lovers in the past and that she's missing what she got from these lovers when she has sex with her husband. This seems fairly obvious and if I'm not mistaken she also mentions this in the intro. But then again if her husband's dick is at least average I don't really like the idea that she's cheating soley because of that. In my opinion it was more interesting that you also addressed how he is not exactly putting a lot of effort into his marriage. Cheating and even divorce is way more believable if there is a lack of communication and effort.
It's a little more than that. While there is a big sexual element to this game/story (obviously), I also want it to be clear that the sex is NOT the most important thing. In most circumstances, it's the Happiness stat that is most relevant, and this is calculated from all three of the (physical) Satisfaction, (mental) Respect, and (emotional) Love stats. I don't have the highest level of confidence in my writing (I was coding the other game, not writing), so I am never sure whether I am accomplishing my story goals as well as I could. This update, in addition to a big scene requested by a Patron poll, focuses on trying to cleaning up a lot of the characterization of the wife. I don't mind if people view her as somewhat selfish, as this is arguably a necessary trait for one to demand happiness and attention from their partner (especially if they are provided it as well). But I never intended some of the other more negative perceptions of her. I know that there is a certain amount of hate that the female is always going to get in a game like this, but when sensible players have similar complaints, it might be a writing issue. We'll see if this update helps to repair her reputation a bit.
It is. Needle in a haystack (pun only slightly intended) to find that sort of content anywhere. For a project I want to work on, I've tried to find references myself of an in-shape couple having regular (not femdom) sex where the guy has a small cock. Near impossible. It just doesn't exist, unless you're digging through amateur Russian or Asian porn with bad recording quality. Even average is quite hard to find. Could be a huge (pun only intended after writing that) market for such a thing though, since there's just so little of it (as in none), so not much competition. I assume any tiny guys with enough self-respect to keep themselves in shape just don't want to put themselves on camera like that. That's probably more of a factor than porn companies not looking for such a thing.

I'll add one perception it seems you are trying to go for (unless I'm wrong) that I'm just not feeling from her: Intelligent. The only time that description comes to mind is when the husband comments on how smart she is. But to me it feels like rose-colored glasses from his end. Unless that was your intention. Not that I see her as dumb, exactly. But none of her actions or statements have given me an impression that she's much smarter than average, maybe ranging between 100-115. Many college educated women in their 20's read & have an artistic hobby, so I don't think that can be an indicator in and of itself.

The artistic is her job, though, so she considers that more important than just a hobby. Some of the disconnect there is probably my fault via writing skill/quality on my end. There is actually a direction I intend to take the plot w/ regard to her writing, so hopefully I improve enough to make it believable.
Your writing is really not bad at all. Believable dialogue & progress. I'm judging in comparison to other adult games, of course, so the standard is different (most are... well, pretty bad). Always room for improvement though and it's important that the game is communicating what you want it to, so it's great you're striving to improve your own skills. That's the sort of drive in a creator that makes a project good or not in the end, given they already have a handful of ability. FWIW, I think the writing in this is better than the previous game written by your friend. Though that's likely got something to do with content and taste, too.Fair enough. Could husband quit his job, get something better? I mean, I was watching the story both intervals and realized the wife gets home earlier each day before he does and makes wonder maybe he should get a job where it made better for both of them, where life wasn't compartmentalized. Like their apartment life wasn't same for past pandemic, they newly married right so why aren't they living in town house like most newly married people. He takes the bus back, which is stranger danger.
He should have better conversations than asking her if she is happy. Or are you sexy? I think the best idea would be not marriage counselling would how to get into better groove would sex toys, Why couldn't husband see therapist like early onset. Help conversation be a lot better. There is literally one thing I think of he could buy cock sleeve and relieve the tension.
