Yea, this ain't a lewd game. Solid story, but you ain't gonna jerk it. I'd compare sex scenes in this game to fade-to-black scenes in Bethesda/EA games.

Is it? Poor way of advertising the game here if that's the case. I deleted the game after the first "sex scene". It left a bad impression and the story wasn't interesting enough to continue playing without lewds.
i did twice, i forget sometime that the game has no content as i download many games at once after a few months and forget it was bad, might be worth checking in 3 to 4 years if its not abandoned or milking patreons like cloud meadows.

Just try a sex scene. If it has art, then it is. If not, it is the public build.
But I am certain that we have the public one since people are complaining about the lack of NSFW scenes.

Devlog 2023-06-09
Friday again!
Little one is doing fine (been crying a lot more this week) and Dobby is also fine after his vet incident. (He had an infection in one of his glands, and needed more than usual TLC.)
I've also been working weird hours throughout the day/night (like 20:00 until 22:00, and then midnight to 2:00AM etc) to keep the momentum going.
(Just a low-resolution teaser for those of you with FOMO.)
Tae is working on some new Cephilusk crew members for this month, as well as another pinup for July.
Stoffies has been hammering away on his backgrounds as per usual, and we made some minor fixes to MedSec's background color. We've also started planning the new backgrounds for Episode 4.
Crowbie and I have been writing as much as possible (Crowbie has been averaging more productivity than I have) on various scenes and arcs. The bad news is it takes time, the good news is, they should start dropping soon! I'll share some of the stuff we are still working on:

The writing is actually exceptional. Extremely enjoyable play, even if it wasn't what I was exactly looking for. Anticipating all future work soon!
Hi, just a quick question - im playing as a gay dude and was wondering are some of the guys tops and others bottoms? is there ever a choice on who tops and bottoms? Ive gotten to the point of Khalil's first sex scene and he automatically tops. Would love to see him bottoming too? Does choosing the dominant/submissive choices affect anything in the bedroom or is just to do with MC's personality? Maybe the game hasn't even progressed to the point where there are multiple sex scenes for each character, but would still love if someone could answer some of my questions.

I was waiting to see if there will be an official answer.
Basically the dev said this game is targeted for Female Audiences, If you are in for the sexual actions, you basically need to like "YAOI" style gay contents.
From what I perceived as a gay man who's not keen on "YAOI" / Feminization, even where MC bottoms, it's sometimes very awkward. I highly doubt there would be good MC dominant scenes (if at all).
The upside is outside of sex, the writing and story is really good.

infinitestarsdev I came across a pretty big bug. Playing as a dominant male MC romancing Lochem, and I'm getting female anatomy text in the zero gravity scene, despite my male MC being physically male. The text basically said he slid his hand between my legs and felt my 'warmth' and I tightened by thighs around his hand and:
Also, even though I'm picking every option to represent a really stoic and dominant male MC, the text for my MC is quite submissive and emotional (plus he giggled). I was really hoping a dom MC could take a bit more control, especially with Lochem. It's been a bit of an immersion killer, honestly.
Please tell me there's gonna be the option to top Lochem as a male MC, if not now in future. I understand it not being the case with Kalil (though it's a shame), but Lochem is total sub material, so at least having the option would be great.
Other then the bug and inconsistency, it's a great game so far. I like the customization, and am pretty invested.

It depends on the LI's personality mostly. But we'll likely have them explore their sexuality with your MC. We've already started hinting at this with Kiaria, who is also very dominant.
The dominant/submissive choices do play into the sex scenes, right now it's little stuff like taking the initiative to kiss the LI or letting them come to you for the kiss, but we'll keep on expanding on them.
We're only starting to get into the territory where some of the LI's get more than one sex scene. Kiaira already has two, we're working on Lochem's second one (a steamy shower scene), and going by the votes on Patreon, we'll likely do a second Khalil intimate scene next month.
I'm about to post a devlog in the next hour or so, and you can see what we've been up to! <3

Our target audience is female, and it will always reflect in the style of writing. We shy away from crass words when it comes to the intimate scenes, and there is a big focus on the emotional side of the sex scenes.
That said, we've only recently started adding MxM sexual content to the game, and it shows a little, as we just slightly changed the existing FxM scene instead of writing a whole new MxM scene. We've already had a team discussion earlier this week about it, and I don't want to get your hopes up, but there is a good chance that future MxM content (starting with the upcoming Lochem's steamy shower scene) will be more male focused.
We absolutely do intend to have some more MC dominant scenes. <3
Thanks for the kind words about the writing! I've been doing this for a few years, and I don't think imposter syndrome ever truly goes away.

Yes!! It's a bug, and it will be fixed very soon! (It's already fixed in the new patron build that will be dropping in the next few hours, and it will be included in the next regular public release.)
The issue was that Lochem didn't have any MxM content before, and the fade to black was skipped. We added the MxM content this week, it doesn't change much, but it does fix the genital issues.

Before I start, I wrote a whole devblog for last week, scheduled it, and never submitted it. Sorry about that.
As a reminder to all the new people, I consistently post updates every single Friday. On rare occasions I miss one, but that doesn't mean that we haven't made progress for that week, it just means I didn't write (or click submit) the devlog. That said, I do have a day job that takes priority over Infinite Stars, but I spend every (and I mean EVERY) free hour I have working on Infinite Stars. Sometimes we'll get tons done, and other times we'll have little to report. <3
That said, this has been a very productive two weeks!
A lot of it is behind the scene stuff that needs to happen, but doesn't look like much. This includes all the writing… We've been writing a lot. So much writing.
Lochem's MxM observatory intimite content has been added to the game, and the shower scene you all voted for is almost done! It should be ready by next week.
I've also added a Lochem friendship/flirt scene in the Mess hall as a precursor to the shower (or other) intimate scenes. You can chill with the best space commander friend there is, or you can– you know– very deliberately push your foot up against his thighs under the table. He loves it, but flusters easily. This scene is in the new patron build released today, but the facial expressions still need to be coded.
Other writing stuff that we've also been working on:

On the drawing side, Tae has been working on more Cephilusks, and Stoffies is busy with the new and improved bridge. (We're reworking the command platform, and I'm very excited for it!)
On the coding side, we implemented the framework for unlockable lore snippets as you progress/make different choices in the game. The unlocks are universal, across all your saves, and it might require a second or third playthrough to unlock all of them. The basics are there, and I love the freedom it gives us to expand on the already expansive world of Infinite Stars.
As a team we've also been spending some time exploring the lore and world-building, including how Cephilusks sleep. We've got some really cool ideas, but I'm curious as to how YOU imagine they sleep. If you want to have some fun and speculate, I'd love to hear your ideas. (We might even steal some of them or use them as a bouncing board for new ideas!) Let me know in the comments!
Oh! And we received the first version of our new trailer! Wooo! We just need to change some of the text and character sprites, but that should also be ready before the end of the month!

There is a lot of brushing against each other, making Matthias very conscious of your presence which leads to some embarrassment on his behalf. Your Mah'Abeu can either ride it out innocently (hurr hurr) or lean into the situation (I make no apologies!) and "innocently" tease him all the way until, well, you both arrive (that's it! A hat trick!) at your intended destination.
- Some of Lahkush and Lahkhadia's content, don't want to say too much about it.
- The first crew interaction with an Uhlikti. Also spoiler hush-hush content, so won't expand on it.
- Snippets of Reyna's arc
- Snippets of Veera's arc
- Some more Raymond stuff
- Some additional Matthias stuff
- Some Lindi stuff
- Some Andrea's stuff

Yes, You need to add the image under the "Game\Player" folder... Name the image "port_969.png" for the profile, and "port_969_side.png" with transparent cutout for the side image. <3

It's really great to hear there will be more dominant male MC content in future. If I could just ask a follow-up, will there also be a dominant male MC variant of the zero gravity room scene with Lochem (the one I posted the bug of) added in future, or is it already added in the newest update, or no plans for it?
There's so few games for female players that allow m/m with a dominant male MC (which I vastly prefer), especially ones that are as well-written and engaging as this one, so I'm super grateful you're adding this into the game. Thanks so much!!
