The episode itself isn't really that bad, more like the same quality as all the other ones were. It has some really nice content in it like for example the lesbian stuff with Laurie (and gay Tim), the slut making process with Jimmy (and the whole Jimmy ending), but all the good stuff that it has really gets buried because it feels like they did rush this one out. Nothing new with Paul, the only ending for Paul at the moment is Jennifer being pissed at him even though she was the one who seduced him, nothing new with Ian (for a long time), Dimitri path ends really abruptly, Kelly...well, she's the most useless character that was even presented in the whole game as nothing happened with her, the Dean one would also be decent with having affair with Hope, but unfortunately the unfinished/bugged out endings really ruin the whole experience of it just like with Laurie's path.

They say that they will be adding more routes, renders of higher quality and extra animations, but I can't really wrap my head around this logic. Why even release something that you basically admit is "rushed" and unfinished episode that you will return to work more later on, when you could just do it properly once and save yourself from any kind of backlash and make sure people want to spend money on you in the future too? They obviously had planned this to go for another season because of the mention of the Season 2 on the Steam store page, but after this episode it seems like the original plan was changed and the game was decided to cut short for a reason or another, as there is no way for continuation of the story since in few of the endings Jenny has kids or is complete sex slave.

The fact that there are devs that screw up whenever they try give players agency because they burn out or just get lazy does not mean that it is bad in general lol. Look at other side with examples like BAD, CoBD.. Players having agency is always much more fun and it gives them a freedom to some extent mold MC's faith. Having linear story line is always easier to manage, sure, but that is a different story.
The problem is often that many devs allow themselves to be talked into too much, either they allow themselves to be talked out of something or they talk into something. And in the end they want to please someone, but develop something where they don't have the slightest bit of resin and soul. Just look, for example, at all the games that were once planned with NTR. Then the haters moan around, some developers listen and try to please them. And in the end linear vanilla titles come out that are just snot.

That's just the dilemma, not everyone can write everything. There are people who can do good vanilla stuff, others love corruption, others love NTR. It's like with book authors. Stephen King is a master of horror, but he should stay away from science fiction. A singer who is good at rock shouldn't sing ballads either.

The best games come from developers who have a plan from the start and follow it through, with content that suits to them. The fans then come by themselves.

Like I said it is a noble idea, but one that will ultimately hinder your progress as seen time and time again on this board.

I don't agree with this. I would actually say you are fundamentally wrong. The best visual novels have almost no choices (none porn ones at least) because at the end of the day it is not a game but a story with pictures. Choice and ability to shape the character's fate can make sense in a roleplaying game.

But if your goal is to experience the story of the novel, every player choice diminishes the value. At some point i am not reading lord of the rings, at some point you have just facilitated me making my own story. I don't give a shit about my own imagination, I can experience that in spades. I care about the story of a particular writer / developer.

Look at other side with examples like BAD, CoBD.. . Having linear story line is always easier to manage, sure, but that is a different story.
Can't figure out what BAD is (I am sure it will be obvious when you tell me). But for City of broken dreamers. I looked at it and followed it for a while. But the development was so slow and the story ultimately boring (subjective not the developers fault) that if I am curious about this game now I will download the gallery and look at the pornography, which is unlikely to happen honestly

For CoBD, your example of choices done right. I am assuming it is the same story except at certain intervals you get to choose what girl to spend time with. If this is true this would be an example of having to replay the same game over and over again to experience all of it.
If it actually does have a distinct different story between routes, then I would say one of them is better than the others, and the worse ones are a waste of development time, likely made to cater to specific tastes not necessarily for the creator himself.

There is a sharing/cuckold path? When Mark discover Jennifer's cheating he gets furious and the relationship is finished, and after that is game over (bad ending i suppose)

Is there one?
I didn't find any good ending scene with paul and Ian also.
Yes, there is. Fuck P in elevator-> fck P at home ->anal with Jimmy (i hate this nonsensical event so much i will remove it from my copy)take the pills -> DONT make Jen suck P at the reception(it leads to bad ending with P)-> go through Jimmy's route till the end-> lie to mark->break up with mark

I checked the code, Laurie ending is missing, i dont know if its a bug or they didn't implement it yet
it is indeet missing.game is in a loop if playing the Laurie path over and over showing the same ending where Jennifer got that Jimmy in jail and her BF broke up with her.in the laurie path the Breakup was way earlier and Jennifer admitted beeing a lesbian and then broke up with him not the other way around.
There are also no pictures in the game folder showing some laurie ending.

the other 2 inceton games are objectively better than this one, they are way more fun & hilarious.

this shit was depressing, protagonists getting murdered, even the fun loving russian guy wanted to kill himself, snitching, tons of blackmailing, people dying in jail, i'm like chill out with the edginess, your games were supposed to be fun.

Also, a story which has this many routes isn't supposed to end after 4 or 5 updates, too many characters didn't get fleshed out properly.

imo ntr money is what compelled inceton to make this game, his heart wasn't in it.

Ever thought about that I keep referring them to NTR because that is how the branch under which IJ is released is literally called?

And no, I don't work for them, but I follow their work for a long time now - they are not some small indie dev in this industry anymore. They have people and big studio rent to pay for and anyone who can count to 10 can see that putting whole team effort of 4k patrons size into 450 patrons branch (they said themselves that they are not divided into smaller teams but they just switch their efforts from one game to another after each release) is not worth for them as it prolongs release of their 2 main titles. Or are you trying to say that it is?
No, just trying to separate fact from opinion.

Still, reading your post and others here, I am curious as to their future. If they have that many folks working for them and the overhead keeps growing, at some point they will be more or less forced to create games that are retail worthy and that means no incest (which is fine by me).

But I'm still curious as to why they slapped the NTR label on this development when there is no NTR in it (at least not in the way this site defines it). On the other hand, all cheating in this game is NTR when viewed from the other perspective.

Regardless, we'll see what we'll see. No biggie.

Steam:
Inside Jennifer Season 1 is still in development.
Inside Jennifer Season 2 will be released and sold separately once it's complete.

I wonder if Incenton will remove this line from steam store or if there really will be IJ season 2. I like the idea of it that maybe only Lauries ending is the real one and then we could follow more linear and focused story.

Plenty of scenes but the endings felt very rushed, and there's buggy pathing and even one endless loop.

Seems development for some reason was decided to get abruptly cut off and rushed into one last update. Could have used at least one or two more updates for fleshed out proper endings.
