Supposedly we might get a scene of the two of them in college together. Perhaps Emily cheated on Andres with Melissa and that's why the marriage ended.

I doubt dev is going to do anything to sabotage his own game, not one with this much potential.
It doesn't need drama adding for the sake of drama, there is enough to be had within the setting.
2 single women, both a bit more open than average, things get a bit heated after a few glasses of wine and all of a sudden 2 single and lonely women are no longer quite so lonely.
Doesn't have to be a full on relationship but a bit of friendly sex and company keeps a girl, or 2, warm on those cold nights.
They aren't full on lesbians so the MC still has his in with either or both.
On the one hand it keeps other men at bay while on the other it's still a big enough thing that could potentially scare her son off. Some people don't quite grasp same sex couples, being one I see I that a lot.
Plus they are both hot as fuck and this girl wants to see those girls get it on. Don't care if it has to involve the MC but those women are too hot to not get scenes ..... soon .... for me dev, please.

While I did get that vibe as well, I still think there's more to it than just that.
-The mothers all seem to be fairly liberal, they're obviously aware MC is sleeping around, including with their daughters, but simply don't care. Not even warning "not to hurt their daughters" or anything.
-The mothers all flirt to some degree with MC, though we don't know yet how far they'll go
-We now know 3 out of 4 or 5 mothers?
-We know of only 1 father.
Somehow, I suspect all mothers know eachother from when they were younger, but not all are aware that they all know MC as well. And they all share some secret from something they did when they were younger. And MC might be right on track to make the same thing happen again without anyone noticing to see the same puzzle pieces align again..
I don't often go for the mothers in these games, but for these two - definitely yes.

I just know that at one point he said, I believe somewhere in this thread, that we would see something of them in college. Perhaps it will be just of them being friends and how Emily met Andres. But it could also be more than that, I've been told college is when the cliche "experimentation" takes place for some people.
And I am hoping it closes it off if the player/MC chooses to be happy for them and "move on"...
Well, it is supposed to be a very small suburb of a larger city so maybe that would make sense. They all know each other and talk to each other...
LOL, I don't know... It would be nice if Nyx didn't give us too many options when this is not a harem game (which I glad for) because that means he has to do a lot of writing for each and every potential love interest separately...
Eh, I don't see either of them as more than a fling... I can't see Erynn being cool with her mom fucking her childhood best friend. Nor do I see Melissa being cool with her current lover fucking her own son (awkward sentence much?). Anyway, we shall see...

Okay, first, really enjoyed the update, and it was much longer than I anticipated, too. Nicely done, Dev!
I liked Cara and Nikki both way more than I expected to. For the short time we have with them, their personalities are nicely developed. Choosing was tough, but I went with Nikki. I also think that an "I can't choose!" resulting in a decision to move back to Mom in order to keep the sisters' relationship healthy would have worked fine. It also could have left open possibilities with either or both of them later in the story if Dev wants to go in that direction.
I enjoyed the beach date with Layla and Elena. I like both of them quite a lot. However, I'm not terribly fond of their path as I have posted about in the past. I'll keep the save around to see where it goes. (Curious if a throuple is developing there. Like redheads are MrFriendly 's kryptonite, throuples with pretty girls are mine!) It probably won't end up being my canon path though.
Alexis is my favorite girl so far. There is definitely something going on there, and it might turn out to be really, really bad, but maybe it won't... She doesn't seem pessimistic, necessarily... Just that she needs to take care of some business first before everything's kosher. Now that we know the person who prompted MC's unceremonious eviction from her shower is a woman, I have two contending theories:
1) Alexis is Layla's older sister. This one seems to have the most support, and it could be the case. I didn't think that the girl Layla talks to on her bed about how much she likes MC particularly looked like Alexis as some have suggested. I may go diving through the game images for comparisons, but my first impression is that they have different hair. This being the case would explain Alexis' internal conflict after the point where Layla admits to liking MC. However, didn't she have doubts and internal debate before that point? I mean, why DID she leave the plane without waking MC?
2) Alexis is Erynn's long-time friend. I think this one is more likely. I think the adult Alexis more closely resembles the unnamed friend from the flashbacks. The question becomes why she's so conflicted about liking the MC in this case though... I don't really have much to hang any theories on, but indulge my speculative fantasy for a bit... Erynn obviously doesn't remember the MC's humiliating experience the same way he does. She doesn't know why he left town. What if after he left she missed him and began to build him up in her memory to the point where she convinces herself she was in love with him, and her friend, Alexis, has had to listen to five years of her waxing nostalgic and lovestruck about this boy. What if even back then, maybe Alexis already kind of liked the boy and was willing to accept Erynn's idealized vision of him. Then what if Alexis happens to keep randomly running into this boy she and her friend have been crushing hard on for years resulting in hotter and hotter more intense interactions... If Erynn's has been pinning her hopes on MC coming back some day to be with her and Alexis has been supporting her in this fantasy, it could explain why Alexis might be conflicted about falling for the MC herself. There is also the somewhat simpler and increasingly popular porn game trope that Alexis and Erynn are or have been or are contemplating becoming lesbian lovers and she needs to make sure Erynn is down to share! (Don't judge me! You know damn well MrFriendly was imagining Nikki with red hair!)

While I would really like a Melissa route, not sure how much sense it would make to the story but if not or on any other route I would love for those 2 to be a couple and be happy.
Biggest problem for me being the silly romantic bitch I am is I want everyone to be happy at the end so if say I go for Layla then I would want to see Elena and the MC's friend together, double dates.
I know that probably won't ever happen because some people here are all "if I can't have them, no one can" but i'd love to see that in a game where girls you don't end up with pair off with other people.
Just a big romantic ending with everyone happy and all booking a mass joint wedding.
Yeah, I was very unhappy that we were going to have a flashback to them because I wanted to get on with the story and they are the past. That said I was surprised how much I liked them. However, I do believe that the idea for a third option to turn them both down and perhaps decide to move because of a mutual attraction but not act on it would be a great addition. It would have allowed for one or both to show up later in pursuit, perhaps walking in the door right at the wrong moment.
I like them as friends but not as love interests, that said I do think they are very cute. Just not for me... Alexis was my favorite girl but if she is who we all think she is then she has been dating the MC under false pretenses.
I do think it is a strong possibility but I am also hesitant to embrace it completely. There are some people we are still waiting to see introduced and it's not like Nyx doesn't see everything we are talking about on here (Hi Nyx!). So I am still not 100% convinced on this one...
I think that Alexis being Erynn's long time friend is strongly likely. I think you are right that Erynn has been talking up the MC to Alexis, but I think perhaps Alexis already had a thing for the MC back then. Look at how she is the character standing closes to the MC in that flashback. Maybe she wanted to comfort him but was afraid of being singled out by Erynn and Ethan after seeing how they treated the MC.
When she saw the MC on the airplane she didn't know who he was and was attracted to him but when he told her his story she acted on her unrequited crush... And then realizing that she shouldn't have because it was a lie of omission she fled the plane. But she can't deny her attraction, the MC acts like he is crazy about her, and now it has become a problem that she hasn't told him that she knew who he was... Eventually it will reach a breaking point (soon) and she can't help it.
Oh and Nikki is my second weakness - a brunette. As is Alexis... If redheads are my green kryptonite, then oddly enough my red kryptonite would be brunettes. And in the end hair color doesn't really matter that much because I ended up marrying a blonde... LOL
As for another crazy idea... When do we get to meet Zack's mom again? Gotta be someone we knew and will gush over how handsome the MC grew up to be. Other than that... Hmm, what if the mom was the one who cheated and Andres couldn't forgive her and that is why he left. I wish that we could have a "mature" ending where all the women don't have to either be alone or with the MC. Unfortunately people are too sensitive for that to happen... Maybe this will be the first time it happens but I am not holding my breath.

While I do want happy endings, I can't say i'm not looking forward to the shit hitting the fan.
I've got multiple saves so I haven't got my MC doing any manwhore routes but with all the interlinking stories then who is who and who knows who and who has been sleeping with who will come out eventually and the fallout will be glorious.
Then there is the makeup sex which will be great too.

That's the rub.
Most devs don't want to tackle a relationship like that, it's too much work to make it believable and while m/F relationships do happen in real life they are pretty rare which is why you don't see a lot of those those relationships here (outside of the incest category anyways) and its unlike the M/f relationships which you see everywhere.
I've always said that a lot of game developers on F95zone use "milf baiting" as a way to draw in more viewers but rarely ever give said "milf" an ending route.
