Okay...so Erynn's story doesn't make much sense to me. MC asks her if she called the cops on Ethan. I mean which makes sense because it is illegal. And if Ethan is convicted then he will become a sex offender. She says no and gives a line of excuses - from "He can deny it or delete it." Now denying won't make much sense if she presses charges. Everybody who is a suspect in an ongoing investigation will deny any involvement. There's still going to be an investigation. And if he deletes the video? Well, then it's a win/win for Erynn. Investigators will go through mobile phones, hard drives, USBs, etc. So if Ethan forgets to delete the video on any sort of hardware then he will be caught and prosecuted. But if he manages to delete it from everything, then Erynn is free from his blackmail. Now unless Ethan is a super-genius mega hacker who knows how to encrypt software and be able to get rid of a trail (which I highly doubt he is) then he is fucked either way.. Maybe I am overthinking the situation but to me...Erynn is a twit.

Yeah but I think that Erynn isn’t being rational, she’s freaked out at the idea of Ethan ruining her future and can’t think it through. Take the part where the MC asked about if she’d seen the tape and her not even really knowing that it did exist.
Some people under stress are able to kickass like Audie Murphy and thrive on it. Other people freeze and can’t get out of their own head, anxiety creating a faulty self destructive feedback loop. I think Erynn is more the latter.

I want to see the MC do some sneaking and sleuthing around for that tape. See if he can save his friend.

I can definitely agree that she's not being rational. And you do make good points. Idk, she says she's done and wants nothing to do with the life. She needs to either keep playing the act or do something about it. I kind of want to see her buck up and take some initiative in her own life. Because continuing down the road she is on is going to eventually kill her.

I think that the MC coming back is going to make her decide to give a damn about getting out of her situation. Not that he’s some white knight that will rescue her but rather that it just kickstarted her thinking about needing to do something else. She can’t become a teacher if she is constantly under Ethan’s control. She is ashamed of her life right now and doesn’t want to be, seeing her friend, her “what if” again may have made her realize that she can fix this for the better. We shall have to see what Nyx writes but she hasn’t steered us wrong yet. Perhaps when this is all done I’ll have to make an Erynn play through.

She has definitely got herself into a self destructive loop because of failing to think about things. Will be interesting to see how Nyx resolves this.

The problem that I have with blackmail in games is how people just go along with it and end up getting themselves in deeper.

I think that escort rumors will do her more harm than a possible sex tape

Yeah, when the game is done I am thinking about doing a Layla PT. She has genuinely been an interesting character to me for a few updates now. And I feel like I've been missing quite a lot since deciding not to romance her very early on.

Btw, I just couldn't help noticing how possessive Lexi became towards the MC lately.
After "not sharing" with Dylan and Iris, she clearly "marks her territory" by biting the MC's shoulder.

On 2nd playthrough and I didn't really notice this the first time. So, our MC has a *really* bad habit of walking/running away from conflict. I get it, he's a kid. But this pattern is a little extreme. I get it, it's a character flaw and it's really being used *a lot* to up the soap opera drama and maybe stretch out the story pacing/story reveals. But I think this habit is laid on a bit thick. Just my two cents, everybody has different tastes and etc., and it's not, like, a critical failing. The story still stays entertaining. It would be a bit more to my tastes to have a choice a few more times to, you know, stay and hear somebody out - especially if MC actually likes that person.

Oh, and I wanted to add something a bit more positive. If this story goes on for a while you're setting up a looooot of interesting stuff for the future, seems so far something worth looking forward towards.

This is actually the reason i don't play the game anymore. I do however check the forum every update to see if we got new Melissa/Tori content but it seems like there are only 3 girls Nyx wants you to romance so if you like someone else your shit out of luck.

Probably won't play the game again until its completed and we know what the endings are.
