We are very close to this situation.
And honestly what would be worst, having to rush through again in the next launch or 11 works just fine, same for 12... but 13 breaks them again...
I honestly rather rip the bandaid off, i hope Nyx stops, thinks a little bit and do every code change she can think of...
The graphical part she can re-do in the gradual way she's planning right now... the code changes, that's not good planning.

Yes, you can create new saves. That's why the dev already released this update for those who wanted to create new saves before the new update hits.

Is there a game on here that haven't changed shit until _after_ the game is done? I get it when its like the 3rd-5th release, when you start to build your game, but what kind of sadistic masochist does this now? This late? and _again_?!

This is already the second code rework, the first happened at v0.5. Can't wait for the next one at v0.15

Ok so basically we can create new save with 2 episodes worth of rework (with possibility of playing till episode 10) ; but if we go on further in the game than the rework, that'll crash with next update.
Did I get it right or am I falling into Zach-levels of stupid ?

Seems like Zach isn't that stupid after all.
The code-rework was for all episodes (1-10) so you can create new saves now and continue with those saves in episode 11. I remade all my saves from before and they work.
Episode 1 got updated images.
It's really not that hard to understand but a few people write wrong information and confuse the majority here.
To come back to your Zach-level of stupid point. I think most of the people here are on that level, but most likely even below.

Yes but it's a lot of hassle, with lots of copyright issues especially on more "serious" platforms like Steam (this game is not on Steam but could be). And the copyright free music is overused in those games.

As far as I know the 'copyright issues' other devs had were all mostly on the same site(Artlist?) and it was more of the case they didn't want to be associated with porn. DPC and Ocean are using most of their licensed music from premiumbeat and have never had any issue with it, but then again it costs like 200$+ for a song, excluding promotions and memberships.

Nevertheless the point still stands, the lack of music is holding this game back. One look over LoF's f95, or steam reviews page will tell you how often the music gets praised.

Ah perfect then ; I was afraid I had to restart with each new update until the code is completely reworked. Since it's already done, I'll right away continue my Layla save.

Maybe you are the one slightly misinformed, but Nyx already set herself up for another re-coding down the line.

Progress Update - Gallery - Re-Coding


Back to business.

The gallery is finished and everything seems to work.
I've also finished all of the re-coding, and now I'm testing as many routes as possible.
There's one little oversight I couldn't change solely with coding. I will need to create extra scenes for that, but I'll do that once I do the re-rendering for that particular episode. So for now, it will stay the way it is.
It's when you are on the Alexis path, help Erynn, don't tell Erynn about Alexis and kiss her in her apartment. Then go training with Layla, meaning Erynn and Alexis won't meet the day after. And after training camp, you have the choice to stay with Erynn or go to Alexis, and so on. Meaning, those choices don't have consequences (except heavy point loss for Erynn) for now. They will though in the future, but that's for another time.

She's done this re-coding and is already planning the next one...
I ask you wouldn't it be best if for once she stopped going in order(ep1, 2, 3), did the scenes necessary for this particular situation (already with the new assets/quality), cleaned all the things she perceives to be a mistake, instead of leaving for a future (3rd)makeover?
It's hard for me to say, "yes, do multiple paths, prepare a bunch of saves" when she says there's another one of these coming sometime in the future.

Yes you can romance both at the same time... but not without consequences.

No, it says she couldn't fix one thing solely with coding because she needs renders for it too. The code is already in the game.

And if re-playing a game is such a tough task, why don't all complainers just wait until it is finished and play then?
As a few people mentioned before some pages back. It's a WIP. Deal with it or leave.

Yes, it is a "work in progress". But doing that 2 1/2 years after game start and already after a big rework with v0.5 is not a good game developement. It would be maybe still ok for a quick skip through in a simple game. But here whith those many routes where you have to do several playthroughs for that is imo a slap into the players face.

yeah I saw a mod in there, but it is version 10.2. Since there are changes of coding, I think they won't work anymore. If it is just a pdf walkthrought that you mention. I wouldn't need it to "replay" all the routes I had. but thanks for the advice.

No actually. thank you lol. The mod I saw 10.2 was scrappy's but, there is another one in there v.0.10.5. so I suppose it is updated gonna try that one. If you didn't mention that I woudln't have checked again, so thanks a lot
