The rest of the Layla+ paths have an exit, such as Alexis with training camp, or Elena after Layla's date and right before she gives up her virginity.

Oh yes, because Nyx hasn't written this scene yet unfortunately... Well, if I remember correctly, even on the Layla route you can get a lot of points for Erynn (and maybe even on the ASR route the beach scenes give Erynn points)... And if you also participate in the photo shoot, that's a big plus for Erynn... Maybe it's just me, but Erynn is definitely "attached" to MC... Much more than an Elena who doesn't even know what she wants, and an irresponsible MC is groping in total darkness wondering what Elena will answer her... It all depends on when Nyx gets involved in this relationship, and I can decide right away...
Of course I could be wrong, because I'm just an average player who sometimes sees more in a relationship than is actually true... In that case, I apologize to everyone...

yup it's why you go running with Layla. tbh at that point I was confused when it happened didn't think I was that far along with Erynn yet but I was waiting to break it off with Alexis to not cheat on Erynn in the future. But that was my very first PT

Every time when MC is kissing Alexis or both are showing some affection there's a reaction of Erynn. On friendship route she's mostly smiling and happy for her bestie, but on the route where the path is still open she looks a little bit sad or is biting on her lips.

Yeah, I think it's probably the right thing to do, but the wrong place to do it. Not only for the reason you mention, but because it just doesn't make sense on either route to have it break the path - you bump into an old friend and she asks to talk, it would be a bit of a dick move to leave Layla at that point, but understandable if you explain it, and it's not as if you're dating her at that point anyway. On the flip side, again it would be completely understandable for Erynn if you said you were on a night out with someone and had to see they got home safe, we'll have to catch up soon, when it's also not just thrown in front of you so neither of you can prepare yourselves... It shouldn't break either path, but you should have to make a choice (or have it made for you) early on because Alexis can only go so far without finding out (about as far as it takes to find out your dating both her and her sister, perhaps...).

It absolutely feels like something the girls should be able to get over.
There's literally a passed out girl that needs help in our group, Erynn should be able to understand that this isn't a rejection of her.
I think it's worst to simply leave Layla+Elena alone with Zach, but, like you said, it's not like there's anything beyond a little flirting at that point(small point drop but surviveable).

I don't agree that it's too early. As you've said by that point you got to know Erynn some already so should have at least some idea of whether you're into her or not. If you are, choose Erynn, if you aren't, choose to go with Layla and find out if you'll like her more.

What? The choice Nyx is talking about is the one between staying at the club with Erynn or going home with Layla+Elena.
It's literally our first "real time" meeting with Erynn, and we have to chose between staying with her and going with Layla, before she even has the opportunity to have her first conversation, since it's cut short by the situation.

We only know Erynn exists before making this choice because she gets mentioned on flashbacks.

I was trying to think about how I'd handle this and I realized Erynn is too skittish in her friendship with the MC to actually confront him over Layla so it would have to be Layla doing the confronting.

Or Alexis... she's the one that knows what's going on.

What if Alexis is the one to confront MC? In a "Hey you're close to my sister and you know how Erynn feels, what are you doing?" and from there we get a choice similar to what Val asks you to do when choosing between her and Alexis.

Could even have Alexis be more openly hostile if he fucked up with her too.

It's a good point, that Erynn would be a little skittish about a confrontation... maybe just a hint that she "knows" and we get the option to pick one.

Sorry but I disagree here... Why can't MC break up with Layla?... He did it on the Elena route... What's the difference? Same situation: Sorry Layla, but I like Erynn better... that's all... I don't understand your "there are no clear ways out" argument... If you have to choose because there is no other option (Nyx), then accept the consequences...

The problem is that this option doesn't exist, like jadepaladin said, there's no option to end things with Layla because you want to be with Erynn, it's a train that just keeps moving(there are options to dump Erynn btw, somewhat unbalanced).
Alexis and Elena do offer exit points.

Also i said "clean" break ups, the Elena one is anything but clean and shouldn't serve as a guide to anything.

Layla "introduces" MC to Alexis at the Pizza place, before this point Alexis has nothing to talk about(and possibly isn't in speaking terms with Erynn).
Erynn also doesn't have much to say in terms of dating the MC, because there's no relationship going on.

Wether the MC has fucked Alexis or not is also a complicating factor, since it makes Erynn talking to Alexis about her happy dates with him a bit of taboo topic in my opinion.
Alexis also doesn't seem comfortable seeing him with Layla, not something she enjoys seeing or talking about.

I think after the photoshoot is the ideal spot, this is where Erynn-MC finally steps beyond "will they? won't they?", they hook up for real.
There are a couple of kisses before that, but would Erynn even mention anything to Alexis(besides the complicating factor that they might not be speaking to each other) before anything solid?
After the photoshoot, Erynn-Alexis-Iris go to the beach(without the MC), it seems like a good spot.
Btw, it also means that Erynn should also be a stopper to Iris... things just keep getting more complex

Leave the end of the club scene the way it is, we do not have enough experience with Erynn to form any sort of rational thought on her route that early on.

Introduce some additional scenes where Alexis talks about Layla and Erynn (obviously after dots are connected on who is who)

Sometime after the Moore dinner with Alexis/Adriana/Layla but before Erynn's photoshoot have Alexis confront the MC if she's noticed him getting flirty with Erynn and knows he's with Layla. Force a choice through Alexis giving an ultimatum, like she'll tell them both if you don't fix it.

Erynn is so arrogant and self-absorbed that she feels that she's been unfairly treated by him since he didn't immediately ditch his friends to spend time with her. She later storms over to his house uninvited and barges into his room while he's sleeping to lecture him. She's nuts, and the game never let's us acknowledge that.

Ah right I missed the progress update, just read it now. I agree that it's harsh to close off either girl that early on. Nyx talks about it like there was no way she could have made an additional scene for Layla and Erynn where you are forced to choose.

All based on a misunderstanding and the MC being a brat, not speaking to his childhood best friend. She deserved the chance to explain, he never gives her that and just moves away.
She doesn't know why the MC even stopped speaking to her, or what she even did wrong. She just missed him and wanted to see if they could reconnect by doing what I assume they did when they were younger and wake each other up in that way.

can't agree with any of that. Since both Erynn and the MC is at fault for the entire thing but I would put most of the blame on the MC since he is too stubborn to even want to talk to her , no matter how much she tried. I think Erynn was unfairly treated by the MC because all she did was want to talk to him and try to make things right. But instead she is ghosted and ignored and the MC is suppose to be a good friend of hers. Yeah friends have falling out and this could of been just that but the fact he wouldn't even let her talk to him and try to apologize and just have a conversation makes the MC the worst offender in the whole situation imo. Not like Erynn did anything to betray him wasn't even that bad plus with him confessing his feeling in front of everyone wasn't a smart idea either.

I wouldn't even say Erynn is nuts either I think that is a stretch.
