As long as we don't have to wait another 4 months for the next update. The game is not done yet folks there are still other paths to finish off I do know there will be another update don't know what else Ptolemy has planned yet as he keeps his writing to himself.
That was a beautifully succinct and well thought out expression that you clearly took your time to get right. An idea that is no doubt true for a great number of players.. that said, I'm a caveman and I don't like anything that confuses me! Give me ONE (1) person to follow and identify with.. I don't care if he is 19 or 50! and yes, I want any and all females who happen into his world to fall madly in love/lust with him and be fiercely loyal "ride or die" to him and him alone! I can already hear the response.. "but if that's how you feel, then maybe this game.. blah, blah, blah" No! this game was for me until I started reading the reviews of this latest update.. I liked the beginning of this story. Anyways, thank you for taking the time and considerable effort you clearly put into your dissertation.I would add that a lot of the discontent expressed since the last update seems to be from people who ascribe an "MC" to this game when there really isn't one single MC. This is a Visual Novel written from a 3rd-person perspective that follows three protagonists, each of whom can influence the path of the game with their decisions. Most of us are used to 1st-person games where "we" are the MC, so it makes sense that this story might feel unsettling to some because it comes at us from a different angle than we're used to.
I don't think we're meant to identify with Andrew as the MC, and for those who choose to play the game as if you are Andrew, it makes sense if you find yourself disappointed in how things play out. But reading this interactive visual novel from a 3rd-person perspective without trying to identify with any of the characters as an MC is a different and (in my opinion) enjoyable experience.
If you play through this VN from a detached 3rd-person perspective that the dev seems to intend from the beginning, you might just enjoy reading through how their choices play out. Exploring how Andrew's choices, Kelly's choices, and Christine's choices affect the plot is interesting and compelling. The psychological repercussions of cheating and incest are real for the characters, which gives the story a unique poignancy. Andrew has weaknesses, yes, but he is also aware of and conflicted by his weaknesses. Christine's choices can dictate whether she becomes the submissive plaything of a meathead asshole or if she saves her relationship with Andrew (and possibly Kelly). Kelly is kind of a bitch to everyone but self-aware enough to realize how her bitchiness affects others, not to mention herself (the scene where she realizes she has no one to call but Robert--because that's what happens when you're a bitch to everyone--was well done imo). These are compelling storylines unique to the genre. It's understandable that some won't like where the story goes--that's fine! But I would hope criticism would come from a place of understanding the intent of project.
Granted, it's... odd... how previous choices dictate which girls Andrew takes on his vacation. I was confused why he took Denise my first playthrough since I didn't think I was on that path; I'm not positive how I managed to get the threesome with Christine and her gym partner on the next playthrough, and I tried two more times to get the secretary vacation without success and didn't want to start from the beginning. So there's that.
One word of advice: never base your opinion of a game on the opinions of others, certainly not those voiced in the main thread. Posts in the review section have a bit more depth usually but also there you have to think for yourself. No! this game was for me until I started reading the reviews of this latest update..
Kell is actually becoming more of a human being in the last couple updates. She recognizes that she's toxic, and seems to be trying to change it.I really love the art in this game.
Also, it's one of those rare times where I wish that the Dad could avoid sexual relations with the daughter. Kelly is not particularly attractive, imo, and is a pretty awful person tbh. Christine is actually a sweetheart and I prefer treating her well. The Andrew/Christine/Nicole storyline is *chef's kiss*. Hell, gimmie a Christine/Nicole ending.
True. Which is why I'd be okay with her falling for Robert tbh. It would be a nice end to her arc.Kell is actually becoming more of a human being in the last couple updates. She recognizes that she's toxic, and seems to be trying to change it.
should be working on alexandra this month.any progress report? plans?
IDk why but this update seem forced. I get it that there is no future for Kelly-Andrew. Also why Andrew is not even 1% sad ? i mean i know he wants best for his daughter but you gotta feel little bit sad for breaking such relationship.

Kell is becoming a bit softer this is true but also trying to work out what She actually DOES want, and who. In this situation it would be hard to be the dad, having had strong feelings like that to see her spread her wings and wonder if she would actually return to him or leave him behind and end up with someone else.Kell is actually becoming more of a human being in the last couple updates.
