May I ask how to change to Alchemist class? And did it trigger any event in the alchemy room of undead city?( the room right under the staff boss room)

Change class to scholar, put some levels in (don't know how many) and then, if you did a certain event (HINT: talk to your teammates), you should have an alchemy book that switches classes from Scholar to Alchemist.
Also idk... that's what I was trying to understand.

Its stat growth but you can win the game by just putting all stats to str anyway use the dragon sword thing and just whack everyone.

all classes stat growth are kinda low.
the main different is proficiency.
you can check the proficiency in stat, same page as resistance (i forgot which key to show it).
all weapons and skills have stat multiplier and proficiency multiplier, thats how the dmg calc.
you need to get to rank S for max proficiency of the job and it start from rank E. it should be level 25/26/30/31, i forgot.
alchemy should be staff and natural magic, necro must be dark magic.

if melee skills dont hv its own proficiency, it should be using your current weapon proficiency.

go to stat screen and press what it showed ( detail or something) twice, there will be a page with resistance and popup say they are proficiency

dunno how your play through went maybe you tried to use a bunch of different spells and weapon on your early tries but you can also start a new game use mage then buy the black smith hammer to see what I mean, you will probably have to put some points on weight though cause mage might not give enough weight stats each lvl some in defence then then all in on atk.

in any case manage to up the staff by one after a few min of whacking using the staff, I just went for guardian seems like all def growth on the class + all stats on atk is the way to go no need to dodge or defence just whack them and be done with it. this game isn't really that hard even on the first playthrough you can just cheese it with full atk and compensate your lack of mechanical skill to parry or dodge by using potions. you can cheese it further by just using that black hair girl you can recruit on the second location and just set your character to keep on running she has the best atk speed and can stun lock everybody except for the boss you still need the MC though in the last boss but at that point you already have full build on them already and win by stats alone.




Edit: I guess I can alsodo it myself here a mage new game all 0 will be raising hammer to greatsword once I get the mercenary greatsword using mage

That is strange, as I tested with my previous save from the Japanese version and it only had the things I unlocked on there, then when returning my system.dat with the unlocked stuff it showed all of them.

heh, but I must admit this is quite an enjoyable game. Back then this type of game only had a female protagonist who got fucked by the enemy when defeated, but now we have a male character who conquers and fuck the enemy when we win. Satisfying experience, to be honest.
