that's probably why the animations feel seem good to me in this one had a feeling was mostly cause of the camera angle

Agreed - I'm definitely in favor of using a great series of static renders with well written narration/dialogue in favor of sub-par animations. As long as the animations don't detract from the experience though I'm usually okay with them. It's best when animations that match what's being said in the writing are used in conjunction with renders instead of replacements for them. I'm also speaking in general and not about this game... the animations here have always been serviceable if a bit of a mixed bag from what I recall from when I last played (3.3) and I'm aware they're improved since then.
I bought the game on steam as soon as I got notified it was available so now it's just a matter of if I play again before the game is finished or not. Open to suggestions but have a couple other games to finish first and a long backlog regardless.I think the original question was about animating kissing. It all depends on execution. I've seen it done effectively and I've seen it done in a way that seemed like animating for the sake of animating where it was unnecessary and would have preferred renders. I think to pull it off it needs to be kept short and meaningful or be done exceedingly well if it's meant to be longer or get hot and heavy. In general I prefer mostly static for kisses I guess... authors need to give our imaginations more credit.
It depends though, a long drawn-out kiss scene can get a bit repetitive for players for animation...unless if there are different motions added to the lip-smacking action to make it more unique every time. Otherwise, static images can do just enough to convey the intimacy (or force/hate kiss if that's the direction/intent the dev had in mind LOL).
So basically just adding more variative actions (tongue, french kissing, etc etc) to make the kiss scenes that are animated more memorable and sexually gratifying for the player.

you nailed one point that I'm somewhat critical in many AVNs which is the narration during sex scenes, many devs just do the renders and animations that may look good, but without the underlying text they are just empty. Not many get it right.

Agree 100% but that is just my preference. I skip so many animation and porn scenes because they just don't do it for me. A good well written erotic scene with some good renders is so much better to me.
haha I watch and read all the lewd scenes even if I don't like them or get bored. I just dont want to miss any dialogue or anything haha. I don't even care about lewd scenes tbh in most games they are just a extra for me

I'm old and grumpy and read a zillion stories/books/VNs etc so I'm a lot more harder to please. Its no big deal, I just skip them.
yeah I have a bit of a completionist mentality maybe even a bit OCD , even if I dont like something in a game i'll force myself through cause im afraid of missing out even tho most of time wouldn't matter. Just the other day was going through a lewd scene and was wishing for it to end almost the entire time lol.
I find it hard for me to skip anything tbh it's either I play the game and see everything that it has to offer on the paths im interested in or I drop it cause I dont like the game no in between in most games for me. Only thing I can get myself to skip is playing a path cause I just dont have a interest in that character but once I start a path I like im locked in haha.

Animations to me are like the cherry on top but I know it's pretty much an essential thing for devs these days I have seen them say that.

I'm definitely into girl on girl sex, especially when its clear they actually like each other, and not just doing it the sake of the MC (i.e player). One reason I appreciate that BTT takes his time building up their relationship and not rushing things.tbh I never been into girl on girl sex but 2 girls kissing / even swapping cum from their mouths is always hot as hell to me
honestly I probably will into it with this game , as BTT has made some really good chemistry with Isa and Alex. Just generally im not into anything beyond kissing when it comes to girl on girl content as I just haven't really played one yet where I was into it.
However I haven't played many games that had that kind of content either , unless it was just because they were into the MC not into each other like you said. But also I'm not a big fan of threesomes in these games either , so probably why I'm not into it generally. ( tho I do still go with the threesome paths to see it)
But I think once I do play a game where it feels they are into each other and have good chemistry I'll like it, just as of right yet to play one like that. Only one game has came close but the lewd scenes felt like it was more about the MC even tho they do like each other.

This discussion came up in the thread for another game, presumably the one Joshy mentioned, and I absolutely agree with you. A sex animation can be great, but I often find that I click through them to get on with the story. I realise that things like different angles, even the option to speed up the action are important to some players, but I don't care about that. I much prefer eye-contact, touching, also funny moments and comments. I really liked the last scene with Alex, for example.
That said, I am just as happy with beautiful and hot static renders. An animation that is at best ok can be a bit of an anticlimax to an otherwise great build up to the scene.

This! This is so important, a sex scene often becomes a lot hotter if you can sense the connection between the characters. And the dialogue and narration is vital for that.

I have a decent amount of Female MC games on my backlog , just haven't gotten to them yet. Funny thing is I always play as a Female MC in AAA games when I can haha.
