hey guy's i have a question in the way of a nerd-like start. i would like the challenge to start with nothing. no skills, slum house all to nothing. the problem is, as far i see, all contracts need specializations and they need the specific skill on B+. how do i reach that with no skills? sure, its possible to get the clothings for the skill but it do's not push it high enough to be able to train the slave fast enough that she get ready to deliver her to someone. so... do i miss something? :( With clothing its only possible to level her skill up once but no chance to get to B+.

With the most skills that way its really difficult to level them up AND train a slave. xD example for secretary. as far i see, i have to train a slave to the point i cant train her anymore... throw her out, buy next slave to train her... and repeat till the point i have myself at skill B+ to be able to teach slaves high enough that i can turn her in to contracts. because of that even the "easy" guild contracts are not possible to fullfill in time. Or i run out of money if i buy the slaves.

please someone help me. xD
It's quite a challenge to start when your character has no skills. It is possible to send the slave to school to learn skills which your slaver does not possess, but it costs sparks. Ultimately you will want to raise your slaver's skills, but this takes time, and time is money. From what I read in the patch notes, it takes longer to increase the slaver's skills in this latest update. To gain income, it would be advisable to raise D quality slaves and sell them to one of the minor residences or another guild such as real estate office. There are other ways to earn money, such as chariot races or gladiatrix contests.

If you use a search engine, you can locate a wiki for the game which has a list of all the requests available from the minor residences. This can be quite helpful when planning your early game income.

It's been a long, I repeat LONG, time sense I've played but when I did I never took the Guild contracts since they could potentially ask for slaves that were outside of the characters capability to train themselves without spending far more money than I had on tutors. Instead you could go to stores or other areas like the doctor, ask if theyd want a slave, learn what they require in one, and spam slaves towards them. Back when I played the doctor only needed slaves to have a rank of D in nursing (or whatever the skill is called) and he'd buy them for I think 2000? Obviously things may have changed now but that was the easiest way I found to quickly make money, status, and slowly grow the characters other stats.

Is it possible to get the Julia event without picking Johny in normal start? I don't want to start over my awesome save from 2.1.

Anyone managed to get by as Johnny on Normal difficulty? Seems very hard, but appealing - if it's even possible, that is.

Seems like Johny's only good trait was changed. Can't train Golden Shower in the slums, can't leave the slums until I sell a slave to a house faction, takes a long time to raise stats, etc.

I did play in 1.7.4 version, and can still remember ~30mb save-files and ~15min of loading time.
Was it fixed somehow??

items seem broken, maybe? trying to raise temperament and wearing the boots and spiked collar but it doesn't go up overnight and fights/painting only increase temperament by 1 point each time

Johny is way too difficult. The colosseum seems to max out at B+ for me with a Katana and C+ with a Whip. As far as I can tell, it no longer raises Strength, just Fighting skill. I borrow money in order to get to Serpentine and grab Isabella, buy a slave, train the slave with Isabella in Serpentine and then I don't get enough money from the sub purchaser to pay back the moneylender. Health and obedience seem to decrease if I move back to the slums for both slave and assistant. And this is on Easy.

Yes i read that. :D but i really want to try it with the newest patch. i think school learning is not possible the same as with a tutor. both cost sparks and if the slave is not willing to learn... its so wasted sparks. q.q Are there any minor residences that want D quality slaves? I thought everyone want slaves with a specialization. If i'm wrong there, i see a good way to do that. ^-^ i never tryd the races of gladiatrix contests. the first i think is not worth it because with no training i doubt the slave will win any sparks. with the gladiatrix contests... if the slave is good in them, she should be strong enough to wipe the floor with a zero skill slaver. xD

Do the doctor not want slaves with nurse specialization? because if so, the skill have to be B+ and therefore out of range for a 0 skill run. :D I will look out for residences that need no specializations, i think if there is somewhere at least one, its possible. if no one takes slaves without specialisations, zero skill runs will be doomed. :3
