One thing I find particularly annoying about Devs who make excellent renders, is they fixate on details and perfection and end up accomplishing less, for something nobody, unless they are looking for it, will notice. You're not making RDR2 here


BADIK is a quality game everyone enjoys and the guy does it alone, streamlining the process by not hyperfixating on perfect details. Yes he has a fortune, and lots of hardware but still. Perfectionism is proven to hinder creative output in the long term

I wish I could print this out and slap it across the keyboard of every new dev who posts a version 0.1 here. It’s not enough to just start churning out renders and dialogue with a story in mind - you have to think ahead how to scale content so it be can produced within a reasonable timeframe - and that means planning.

haha truthfully I was more critical of the size of Parkers dick. For a dev who fixates on hyperrealism with renders and details, he ends up just making basic porn story. "Old tiny guy with a giant gimmick dick, fucks hot girl"

Exactly. I've stressed this so many times, too. Daz3D is not the medium for hyper realistic perfection. In fact, you can do too much and get into an uncanny valley with them (how I see AWAM atm). You can go too far and make them look like shit.

If you want perfection you need to make movies and pay the few people on the planet that can pull of the look you want. Short of that, you're making adult visual novels. There is no need to make hyper realistic visuals and it actively makes your work worse by delaying it to the point that people mock it.

Q: How to stop the criticism and keep patrons excited for months without giving any update or release date/month ?

Ans: Release a bullshit development blog showing some custom renders of the female character but no need to mention anything about release dates since no will care as everyone will stop using their brains and instead put their dicks to work.

100000% that the scummier devs will make a couple quick renders, post a "progress blog" with those and then claim they are part of a larger work that they definitely aren't. At best they may eventually work on am update based on the quick render they made to keep the wolves at bay.

He made one before he last update of just a butt. Literally would take 5 mins and then that photo played no part at all in his update that came a year later lol

I'm wondering, imagine if a fan who understands "Ren'py" games created a version of this game, with a lower quality of rendering, but this version focused more on Jessica's corruption, and on what the community wants to see. Imagine if the fan version started to be more successful than the original version? It would be a lesson for Stope on how to deal with his community
