How did I miss the camera recording the Mayor and Jessica on my first play-through?

I didn' catch it either, but if your are on the path with Conner and Shany by the pool, Conner says that the camera in the mansion are off line, for the privacy of the guests, only those on the perimeter are online for security.
So This one should be offline, but how knows really ?!

I think this camera was not set up on purpose. TV Woman and the senator had there an interview first.
But who knows that the camera was recording the whole time?
If yes it would be very unlucky for Jessica. Yes!.. It could be used for a little blackmail.
Or maybe the camera was there just because stoper makes realistic settings.

I think it is from the set the TV girl put to take pictures of the Senator: camera and lighting.
I don't think the Mayor realized it because he came inside the room later with Jess and the shooting was already over.
So it can not record anything, or the TV girl put the video record on, to spy in the room without thinking of anything in particular.
The last case would be the more interesting for the story. The TV girl might not have anticipate a slutty scene but just a private conversation for a scoop or a blackmail.
Now I so glad that MY playthrough doesn't involved that scene, even if it's the hotter so far !

Personally I would not prefer the hardcore blackmailing in this game because Jessica seems like a classy women and I want her to willingly have sex with the guys like mayor. That is way more hot for me than the blackmailing stuff that is in Anna exciting affection in which anna is blackmailed by her boss

I have my wishes, but in the end Stoper has delivered different story, different scenes, but much more entertainment. This is the way to corrupt classy women like Jessica - sexy neighbour couple on one side, perfect gentleman like Mr. Parker on the other, her hunger for build а career (relationships with the Mayor, Mr. Burch, Duncan) or blackmailing by competitive jоurnalist...
I don't know which path will be more enjoyable. But story goes so smooth, so natural. No one is putting Jessica on pressure to do or not to do, it's all her decisions - to tease the Mayor, to accept Mr. Parker invitation or Heather's, to involve Conner or hide from him. She wants to Great renders, great story, great game!

I agree with you.
Though the black mailing, IF there is any, would have to be carefully set and not too harsh or incongruous.
There is also the potentials pictures that might have been taken of her or by her, that can be release by the younglings (Tommy and or the youg boy at the restaurant).

Yes, so far, I really enjoy how the story is build.

Did not notice the camera, great point! Tbh I think any kind of blackmail can be done tastefully, not as hardcore and blatant as other games. She is definitely using the Mayor as well, so it could be a quid pro quo situation with some added excitement with these recordings. This game is finally reaching it's full potential, can't wait for it to take off from here!

Reasons:
1. Your AV or protection software blocks the game / deleted files etc.
2. Game can't access the correct renderer.

For #2 try to launch the game by pressing and holding down shift while launching the game. This should bring up the "Graphic Acceleration" Menu. Try a different renderer from there (GL/GLES/ANGLE etc.).

Alternative use the old software renderer provided with Ren'Py 7.3.5. Simply copy over JOHN's "game" folder into the old version or into a game using Ren'Py 7.3.5.

True. If the camera was indeed recording I'd rather see a gentleman's agreement. Say the one who got hold of the video only uses it to confirm that Jessica is indeed on the naughtier side, deletes it and asks if she is interested to go any further. Like shooting a porn with the anonymity of a hooded leather mask and a respectable paycheck.
You see, the adult movie producer is in fact just someone with good connections in politics for the reason that pornography wasn't always legal and prudes have tried to control everyone's lifestyle before. And his mother, may she rest in peace, was on the forefront of the women's liberation movement so Jessica is free to say no as she pleases.

The patch 0.41 add a last scene (or not, you choose) with Conner at home to finish the day.

However, in the case that the camera actually belongs to the Senator, that would make for an interesting story! Def could see the Senator getting some alone-time with Jessica in the future if it is his. And that would add to the competition between the Mayor and the Senator, great stuff!

I think it more belong to Victoria Hill (TV girl) or her photograph crew.
Never the less, that great materials for sure !
