this is definitely coming from the game as luendi jessica will stop by blake's coffee shop to talk about their evening spent with the two of them or with conner or david.

do you have the text of the message? I'm curious to read what he wrote
from Stoper:

"Hi, everyone.

I finished a crowdy scene this week. These are always hard to work with - more character to pose and fix, it's harder to set up the lighting, and the video memory limit always peeks behind your shoulder. Video memory is one of these things that the more of it you have, the more you want. A nice crowd in a public place make the scene more authentic looking and adds to that feeling that there is a world around the main cast of characters.

What do you think? Does such details matter to you? Do you even notice them?

The development pace is decent, but I still haven't managed to take full advantage of the double rig setup. There's still work to do on the update.

That's all for now, back to work. Have fun, and thanks for the support."

Adding a crowd in DAZ is a problem, a big limitation as of now. It's noticeable, empty streets or places feel weird but I got used to it. And better have that than taking a week to add some crowd.

as usual, a tireless hard worker full of ideas full of resources and also the only one (at the same time) to have a lot of development problems and a thousand unforeseen day after day. The tip of the day is obviously not to be duped by this narrative.

He's rendered crowded scenes before using his ancient GPU. Now that he's got the 4090, even crowded scenes are only a matter of minutes to render. So god knows why he'd even bring up memory issues now that he's got a top of the line GPU with probably 100 times the power compared to his old one, especially since he's never mentioned any issues with that when he was still using the old GPU either. It's nonsense. The only thing that's unchanged is the work required to set these renders up. Like posing, assets, lighting etc. Everything else is much easier and faster with a 4090. That is if you actually work. From nothing comes nothing.

This statement about taking full advantage of his double rig is pretty much pointless aswell as he's only got 2 hands and 2 eyes to work with. The only thing his second (old) computer could be used for is to render animations while being able to keep working on regular renders on his new computer, or vice versa. Actually the other way around would be more time efficient as his new rig should render even longer animations within hours, and since he's barely able to create a single render per day, his new rig isn't really doing much to speed things up anyway.

Everything he said at the end of last year concerning the development speed and possibly being able to work faster with his new computer is complete nonsense, as render times had never been the issue. Doesn't change anything when the developer needs 6+ months until he starts working on the next update.

This devblog is just more of the same crap in a different wrapper. Can only agree with what umby said. (y)

I'll admit that I almost, ALMOST, gave Stoper a bit of credit because crowds can tax a system. But you're right, he's done it before and he has a super powerful system, so it shouldn't be that heavy of a lift. I've done a little bit of work with scenes with 5+ characters and it's definitely a lot of work, but nothing he can't handle. Unless he's trying to build a scene with like 30 high res characters on screen, he really has no excuse.

I just want to see Eve get ass fucked and generally treated like a piece of meat in pursuit of a story to get the edge over Jessica lol, but that will never happen.

I joined Stoper's Patreon recently and got a nice response to a message I posted. I see other patron posts also had responses. There are a few updates from the last several weeks, plus some art showing work on JOHN. He mentioned recuperating from a bad illness that continues to cause him some problems. Nonetheless, there seems to be progress on the game. I mean, I joined his Patreon, I didn't hire him to babysit my kids or something. It's not like he's obliged to tell me all about his real self and hearing some of you here complain that you don't know his real name or where he lives is pretty rich given that we're all using pseudonyms. To me it looks like the guy's had a rough year but is getting back into the swing of things. I hope that's true, but if it ultimately isn't true, I'll find something else to fap to and I'll be out a few bucks. I'm not going to make myself miserable being angry at an anonymous stranger for deciding he no longer wants to pose pixels in a way that makes my dick hard.
Listen, I followed a Dev who recently faked their own death for the second time. There is absolutely no way I will believe ANY excuses now for slow progress, little/no transparency and complete lack of respect for the people who support the work financially. His patreon might be filled with posts about how much work he's doing but the last time I checked the posts were about 2 months out from each other and gave away nothing but "I decided to spend time re-rendering clothes in the closet.

I said it once, I'll say it again, I hate Stoper with a passion. He is one of the laziest, excuse-ridden devs I've ever come across. I have been part of this community for nearly 8 years and I have to say there are echoes of devs who have abandoned projects within his posts and his releases. It's been almost a year since the last update and I can guarantee you all now that when/IF we get an update there will be about 10/15 minutes of gameplay at best.

There is nothing anyone can say to change my mind about this guy and that will never change.
