I'm not underestimating a Jounin, I know what they're capable of but it also needs to be taken into account that she is not a fully fledged one she is a Special Jounin (Tokubetsu Jounin) That means that she was given that title due to her abilities in one field, in her case interrogation gathering from prisoners "torture" and tracking, Orochimaru got an interest in her yeah, but infiltration was never stated as one of her strong suits.

But that is not here or there, she is infiltrating the Hyuga state, a place that only the Hokage should be able to force him/herself w/o permission, full of people with the Byakugan the "All Seeing Eye" that should be able to see through any jutsu that she might use, that should have not been possible under the grounds that she is breaking and entering a clan state, she is dooming herself just by taking that risk. And you mean to tell me that after what happened with Hinata when she was little there are no guards roaming around that should've at least caught her chasing the MC out as that was not a subtle exit, remember that we are allowed to be there as Hinata's sparring partner, she needs a reason to be there, it would have made more sense for here to ambush us right after we leave the state, I mean she can't use Hinata she is already on control 5 so she is NOT going to betray us, Anko at least knows that much or else we would be under her mercy in the TI right know with Tsunade watching with a bowl of popcorn.

Anyways my main complaint is not that she caught us is where she caught us that does not make sense, Another thing is that we must remember that while good the general Jounin is not that big of a deal unless we are talking ROOT or ANBU, most Jounins are portrayed more as cannon fodder to let people like Kakashi, Guy & Asuma and even Kurenai to take care of the real threats, this is because the badass Jounins that you see out there grew up and were active during the 3rd shinobi war meaning you either "GIT GUD" or you die, most Jounins in Naruto's time got the rank during the times of peace and were not that good due to lack of need. BTW the Special Jounin part I got it from the Narutopedia.
There's your answer to the issue, she specializes in a set of skills that includes tracking. That is how she finds you. She isn't really trying to infiltrate, also infiltration is a general skill expected of a shinobi in the first place. It has been shown in canon that even the mighty Byakugan has its weakness. Also, she is a well known and trusted shinobi within the village due to her role in its intelligence service, meaning she is expected to be one of if not THE most loyal shinobi in the village aside from her superiors as she is trusted with extremely sensitive and potentially village dooming information and tasks, so she may have permission to enter as certain other outsider shinobi do. In canon, we don't really see a whole lot of te Hyuga estate being guarded so closely that the guards ask for your reason or whatever clearance they request. Boruto, yes I'm going there, walks right in when going to Hanabi to test him for the Byakugan. Speaking of which, now that my curiosity is piqued, speedapple, is Hanabi going to be included at any point? She does show up during the Chuunin exams as a spectator, so she would fit in arc 1, though her addition at that point would be risky due to age at the time and her appearance not lending itself to making her older for the sake of not having a potentially Patreon dooming appearance. She appears in Shippuden as well, so arc 2 is possible, but also risky there as I do believe she is under 18 at the time of Shippuden and doesn't look that much older than her original appearance. Her safest appearance, due to the art style of the game being so close to the actual series, would be the Boruto era, where she is in her early 20s and actually looks passable as an adult. Just thinking ahead before the issue of her age and less than adult appearance in certain eras comes up.

I'm not questioning the fact that she finds you, it was stated on canon that she was good at tracking, not Inuzuka or Kakashi's level but good nonetheless, the Boruto thing you also need to remember that even though he does not look the part he is a Hyuga (Hinata's son) grandson of Hiashi (clan head) so short of a few things Himawari and him can do pretty much whatever they want there. Also remember that here in Naruto the term shinobi is used very loosely, as good as the anime/manga was most characters were not accurate from a shinobi stand point, but that is not here or there. Your other point about the state, remember that Hinata was kidnapped from the state, right there there is a reason to beef up security, another thing is on clan states there are supposed to be clan secrets and techniques so just not anyone can waltz through them whenever they please. Another thing is that when it comes to clans if your an outsider your rank does not matter Kakashi one of the most powerful jounin of the village, former ANBU captain, can't walk through a clan state w/o reason, the only one that can is the current Kage as he/she is the highest authority. Also remember that in Konoha Anko has also a stigma attached to herself due to Orochimaru, is not Naruto level but is there, the reason why she was able to get as far ahead in ranks as she did and get the job at TI is because both the Hokage and Ibiki trusted her, Ibiki was her teammate when she was a genin. So again the fact that you're a jounin does not give you free access to a clan state and I still believe that that scene should've at least happened outside of the state not inside as it was shown.

I think you mean estate, as in a house or villa or complex of buildings owned by one person/family/group, not state, as in independent governed area or condition of being...?

True, he is technically a Hyuga since he is Hinata's son. As for access to the estate, I never said every Jonin has acccess, I said she specifically is well known and pretty much implicitly trusted by the entire village due to her status as one of the top people in Konoha Intelligence, so she would be given a bit more freedom than a random stranger by the Hyuga Clan. Clan secrets won't be out in the open, they would be hidden in a location only the inner circle would know about and even more heavily guarded than the rest of the estate. The Uchiha secret mural, not sure what else to call it, but I mean the one bearing the secret behind the Mangekyo Sharingan, was hidden under street level and only visible with the normal Sharingan as a security measure due to how dangerous that knowledge could be. Remember that the kidnappers weren't well known and trusted Konoha shinobi, they were outsiders, specifically Hidden Cloud shinobi, who were inside the village for a peace treaty signing and kidnapped Hinata to obtain the Byakugan. Her rank may not matter, but her history with the village, which the time it takes to rank up to Jonin would allow her to build on and includes any involvement with the Hyuga Clan as well, does. Having the Hokage's and Morino's trust goes a long way as well, especially since both would be well aware of her past with Orochimaru, because both would have official ties with the Hyuga Clan through their positions as well as those positions bearing a relatively high integral minimum of trust that comes with the responsibility of protecting the village as a whole, including the Hyuga Clan estate.

Why in the world every time i remember Anko to this game i get a "BDSM" cutscene in mind? I mean...Is okay she "like snakes" and everything and be the dummy happy teacher on all anime...But is no way i can't figure that in mind since the time i know what is this "tag". And if she "stalking" the player can be something cool...Maybe can we make her a "different pet" from the hypno ones...A idea is "You can't hypno her,but she agreed to make you kage at the point you pet her!" or somekind of thing like that...But PLEASE! Don't make her Tsundere...

Before I continue with this, I just want to make clear that my reaction to the Anko scene has not affected my view on this game, did it shock me? Yes, but to me one scene does not make a game and in this case it was not a deal breaker, I still like it very much, I still think that Smiling Dog is a great dev and I still want to play this game. On that note to alex2011 my most sincere respect to you, you have defended your point like a true gentleman and I really enjoy your replies, to you, I take my hat off in respect. I also do not hate Anko,I actually like her quite a lot, since to me she was what Naruto should have been at the begining of Shipudden, loud, hotheaded but skilled. Now my answer

That argument makes sense, I also take back the TI part and the Ibiki part, I was not able to find any reference to her working for TI and she and Ibiki were not teammates but both teams took the exam chunin together, and they even faced eachother in the Forest of Death. I openly and honestly admit to have been misinformed in those regards. I also admit that the clan secrets was illogical of me due to them being hidden in a need to know way.

Back to Anko, if we go back to her history with the village, her service if you will, I do apologize if I'm sounding repetitive on this BTW, I did some research and it doesn't feel like a very positive one, first the Orochimaru thing, not her fault but it did generate a lack of trust, and in a ninja village if your master goes rogue and leaves you with amnessia that screams sleeper agent, after the Orochimaru thing she becomes basically an eternal chunin, since Tokubetsu are not full Jounin, her career does seem to pick up once she became a proctor but that's pretty much it unless a mission involved Orochimaru, she normally gets relegated until the war and that is were her reputation got truly repaired. But assuming that she had done the work and got the credit and got a reputation like you stated before, and I said this because I believe she had it, it does not make sense that she is there alone, normally how it works is that you do not walk alone on a estate that is not yours unless your a VERY GOOD friend of the family or family itself, she is neither, if you have business in the estate you're escorted at all times until your business is done and you're left at the door.

Agreed, I was a bit shocked at how ineffective the jutsu seemed in comparison to Tsunade myself. Tsunade is definitely more of a threat as is Shippuden and later Sakura due to their control over chakra and all that. I do see the possibility you pointed out with the sleeper agent thing, but that then begs the question of why allow her access to a division so integral to village safety, including the Hyuga estate, that she could be the one element that leads to its destruction. If she were a sleeper agent, which I'm sure the village tested her for because that leaves a giant plot hole in the original series if not, she could have been activated during Orochimaru's attack, though the argument for where arc 1 fits in the timeline could be made that we haven't gotten to the Chuunin exams part of the original canon yet. On the Special Jonin, Tokubetsu Jonin as you call it, they aren't necessarily weaker than a normal Jonin and they are indeed fully recognized Jonin. The actual definition as stated on the wiki is that they are given all the same opportunities as a normal Jonin, but specialize in a specific field. It isn't stated, but shinobi who actually could qualify as Special Jonin include Sakura and Tsunade as medical shinobi, Ino as an intelligence/interrogation shinobi, Shikamaru as a strategist, Kurenai as a Genjutsu specialist, and Kiba and Shino as tracker/espionage shinobi like Anko. At the current point of the canon story, which is in the arc 3/Boruto era, they are all classified as normal Jonin.

Actually we are past the chunin exams yet, the fact that Tsunade is hokage says so, unless this is an AU where she never left and took the Job after Minato died, or some weird stuff like in the Road to ninja movie where she was Godaime with Minato alive, honestly I haven't seen the whole movie just scenes.

About the rank, I just read the entry of the wiki and it stated that Tokubetsu do not have the all-round skills of a Jounin, but do excel in a particular field. Ibiki's case implies that it can even be above most Jounins, they can be assigned teams as Ebisu and Ibiki himself had shown, from all this I get that they might be recognized as full jounin on their field of expertise.

I believe that this article explains it well, it's not the wiki but respects both what the wiki says and we have seen on Naruto.

Kurenai does not apply to this because she made full Jounin, all though she sends the all-round skills rule mentioned in the wiki to hell since she never showed all round-skills, Tsunade as well, or at least I believe she did, not much info on that team between genin under Sarutobi and Sannin, the title kind of overtook whatever actual rank they had, the only one that got out of the Sannin title was Tsunade and that was when she became Hokage.

Back to Anko, even if it was the council BS, she was till denied her full promotion after proving herself loyal as a chunin.

You know, she's one of the main girls and my brain just completely ignored Tsunade even existing in the game, my fault. In that case, the attack has already happened, so the sleeper agent thing is out the window as is any suspicion of it. As for the Special Jonin, I shall refer to the wiki itself. The last sentence is particularly important, so I have taken the liberty of bolding it to set it apart from the rest of the blob of text.

Tokubetsu Jōnin (特別上忍, Tokubetsu Jōnin, English TV: Special Jōnin, Literally meaning: Special High Ninja, sometimes known as Tokujō for short) are ninja who, rather than having all-around jōnin skills, only excel in a specific area, much like warrant officers in real-world militaries. For example, Ibiki Morino can completely understand the workings of the human mind, making him an expert in interrogation. They nevertheless possess enough skill overall, as they have been known to given the same opportunity as jōnin in leading their own genin teams.
They do indeed possess enough overall skill to be considered Jonin in their own right, they just have significantly more in one field and are thus assigned accordingly. That said, they are considered a completely separate rank entirely from both Chuunin and Jonin. They are also given teams as normal, but it is unclear if their specialty has any weight in the decision of whether they lead a team like Ebisu or stay in the village like Ibiki. As for the Saanin, that was more an honorary title than a rank, so Tsunade is still a Saanin, but she holds the rank of Kage as the Hokage. Until she became Hokage, she was actually technically a Jonin, though it is never mentioned during the entire time between the first meeting between her and Naruto and the three of them actually returning to the village. That said, I don't think Anko's actual rank has much bearing here as she has been around long enough to have built up a history of service to the village on par with an actual Jonin, so it is entirely possible we are missing an element of her relationship with the Hyuga Clan entirely because it was never mentioned in canon and thus can't possibly come up in game unless Speed makes it up. In other words, we may have found a potential plot hole here that only got missed in canon because Kishimoto never showed her going to the Hyuga estate. With that said, it does make sense that she has had time to build that kind of history and has thus done so in the game and gained some privledges on Hyuga estate grounds as a result. That could explain her lack of escort as well as her being there in the first place while her tracking abilities can explain her being there at that particular moment in the game. She suspected something and spied on the player to investigate, found out about his 'relationship' with Hinata, and interfered.

EDIT: I just realized, it never actually says you're in the Hyuga estate when Anko confronts you and it actually says you are trying to make your way home at the time, so that could actually mean she got to you anywhere in between as well, which would throw our entire debate? out the window.

Do you have to go through the other targets if you want to get to Tsunade or the side girls? Interesting concept but only into the older girls here.

Yeah for shizune you have to go through sakura and for Kurenai you have to go through hinata and anko you have to trigger the high lust scenes. I think you have to max them all out before you can get to the adults

Ok, the Sannin thing I just mentioned it to point out that the actual rank of the shinobi it's never mentioned, we know for sure that Jiraiya was a jounin, it's even stated that he was the jounin-sensei of Minato's team, for Orochimaru we assume the same since he was the sensei of Anko's team, In fact if you go to the Wiki pages of all of them only Jiraiya has the Jounin rank listed. Since it's not officially stated they could've been really powerful chunin when they faced Hanzo, for all we now. But back to the point, we now that Jiraiya was a Jounin but he was never referred as such, he was always either one of the Sannin or the Toad Sage, both titles given to him on merits not an actual rank, Tsunade, while still a Sannin, was only referred by another title when she bacame Hokage because calling her anything below that would be an insult, politically. I was never under any confusion there.

The Anko thing with the estate you can tell you're supposed to be inside the state because of the background, it changes from a room to the same background were you find Hinata when you go talk to her, meaning that you have not left yet. In Ino's case the background does change so that means that you leave the shop before Anko confronts you, this difference could've been because Smiling Dog does not have a specific background for outside of the Hyuga estate or just waltzing through the village, to show that she catches you outside. It does say that you're trying to make your way home though so this whole argument, though fun, could've been for nothing.

The tokubetsu thing, let me put an example, to me it does not make sense that I get the same authority you, a Jounin, because I'm an expert at espionage but my other skills while above chunin do not met the mark yet, in the meantime you are meeting all the qualifications to become a Jounin but not as good as me in that particular field will not have any incentive to listen to me outside of that field. It makes more sense to say that on that field you're a specialist and can be hold on a higher regard than most Jounin but on that field alone and that the title has the word Jounin, source of the confusion, to show that you can actually lead other Jounin on that field. We need to Remember that a Jounin is not only supposed to lead genin and chunin but other Jounins based on experience. Also genin teams are assigned, the Jounin might request a team but it's not certain that a team will be given to him/her and not all Jounins need to have a team.

The background doesn't change in any scene even if the location does, so the background is not a good indicator of location. Point taken on the rest.

The text in the spoilered image indicates that you were in fact on your way home, but I do concede that it was left extremely open and could mean you are anywhere between the room you fucked Hinata in and your room.

Yeah for shizune you have to go through sakura and for Kurenai you have to go through hinata and anko you have to trigger the high lust scenes. I think you have to max them all out before you can get to the adults
Ah well, maybe one day I can play a sequel where the girls have their Shippuden designs. Thanks for the info.
