How about a conspiracy theory? What if Tess deleted the demon path not because of unknown harassers that none of us saw, but just so the game wouldn't have a problem with Steam moderators? (After all, on the demon path abuses and kills women, not men no one cares about).
Well, that is if no one files a complaint about KG (sub route) violating Steam's TOS. Similar to what happened with the aforementioned "No Mercy". There have already been precedents for devs having to cut content or otherwise remake their games to start complying with Patreon or Steam's rules.
P.S. For example, "Fashion Business", which is quietly sold on Patreon, was once simply banned on Steam. And although the developer promptly eliminated all violations, the mods didn't care about it.
Unless people in-game are under the USA minimum age for interacting with explicit media(18) Steam doesn't care period. From what I saw, that game you mentioned got pulled by the dev to avoid media attention. No Steam TOS broken. Steam might bend in the future if multiple countries put heat on them though.

However:Thanks for saving me words to type! To early for me to respond to Stan the Man lol
Steam doesn;t care about most stuff (for now at least) except school uniforms and VN's set in 'high school' due to the very, very narrow window of being 18 and not actually finished 'high school'. They are very active on not allowing this type of stuff. Why for example, Intertwined will never be on Steam.Didn't understand it anyway....there's worse on Steam. It does however now set a precedence going forward and possibly proactively that Steam may look into things more closely when specific countries decide to block the sale of said games.
For the record here Steam didn't care, it was three countries and due to the backlash the dev himself pulled his store page. However (again), this will cause certain authorities to look into things more closely once again (as has been done time and time before and let's not forget, one of Steams biggest markets is the US, where porn has always been a popular voter issue).
However, that still does not change the fact that currently KG does indeed break Patreon's TOS (on explicit consent required for non-con scenes. Sorry Silver, you can big the SubPath up here all you fucking like, even when it's not the focus of conversation, but there is zero consent to anything that SubKane is subjected to (or any other slaves for that matter because again, let us be honest, they are not submissives. None!). Silver, you're in the good ole US of Orange Idiocy, you guys over there argue about adult content more than actual religious middle eastern countries, especially when it comes to politics. Especially in red States.
So, I'll say again, KG currently breaks Patreon's TOS.....the more countries like here, Canada, Australia (Germany already a pita) that outright ban the sales of 'dubious' adult games, the more politicians will involve themselves, and the more Steam will start looking closer and closer at what is on their platform, especially when it comes to very dubious content (especially whan that dubious content is paid for through certain American financial companies that also have a say on the matter).
