Hmm I'll disagree pretty hard on this one. From what I've seen from the design notes it looks pretty good. The only reused characters I saw Anais use were of course Astrid as we knew and a character named Olivia who has similar traits. Though since this is the future she was most likely named after Olivia with high expectations placed on her to be like her.
Anais may have pitched the idea a year ago, but I doubt it's had hardcore nonstop development. Especially since Anais has been helping Tess out with KG and learning how to even make a VN since she has no experience doing so.

I don't like how Tess behaves with people who have the gall to disagree with her and Anais might not be a saint either, though I've seen too few postings or actions to be a hard judge. But I have nothing terribly bad to say about the overall quality of Tess's work. Just some writing things that are very silly as I've mentioned and as you have bellow this quoted post. As for Anais we've seen just a few screens and the design notes and I saw nothing that gripped me as bad.

And yes they are different people.

Can you name a task involving rendering that she has clearly been assigned and in fact completed? Several years ago she was placed in charge of one of the dom render sets and simply never delivered it for a year. And that was something like a 30 render set.

As far as the design notes, how easy is it to disentangle Tess' contributions, who we agree is competent, from Anais'?

3) Current Pics for Preview -> The sub pics are basically part of Game 4, and Kane gets to hang out with four nice ladies. The two dom pics are still in the writing stage so I only have about 6-7 renders so far, but it's basically a scene for Kane if he has both Rank K9 AND one EXEC PT from the last episode. It's a short detour before he does VIP stuff more formally. If you are not sure how to get the EXEC PT, it's in the walkthrough Free hint there.

Why Kane is going back to Katsumi's house and his future house before meeting VIP's. He will waste time going back and forth. He should have gone there after meeting VIP's and evaluation. Kane visited that house twice already.

What makes you think the tour means another visit to Katsumi's apartment? After all, the entire game show takes place on a separate island, so it hardly makes sense to fly to JF's compound again. So I'm pretty sure this “short detour” will take place on the same island. And that could be anything.

If you check out the two dom pictures which are in preview, It is where Svetalana, Sunshine 13 and Lily standing in front of Kane. That's the only two dom pictures in preview and that is Katsumi's house.

I'll be honest, I didn't really delve into this sub images, I just clicked on the first picture , realized I did it for nothing, and moved on. Now I see it, and yeah, it looks pretty weird..Well, maybe some luxury airplane will take us there and we can have some fun with these girls before going to the VIPs. Or maybe the other way around, they'll be flown to the island where the current game show is taking place.

Either way, I definitely don't mind having fun with these three ladies. I'm especially excited about Lily and I've always liked Sunshine13, so if a possible group sex scene this time around doesn't involve the “invisible” guidance of the Karlsson sisters, and the real boss is solely Kane giving commands to these obedient girls, I'll be glad.

Well, I wouldn't worry too much about saves. It's not like we had sex with Kiyomi anyway, so there's nothing to break. Same goes for Angelica. We don't yet know how much Tess will shorten her arc and what aspects of it, but either way, we just haven't had any sex scenes with her yet.

So I'm not even sure if this even touches on canceling any flags or variables..Anyway, we'll see what it will be.Maybe we're getting ourselves overly worked up and it won't end up being as bad as we imagined.

The problem here is purely technical and consists of insufficient video memory on the 4090RTX, which was mentioned several times in her devlogs. She wrote that in her head in this dinner scene there should be a lot more people present (almost more than 20), but technically with the current video card it is impossible to realize this yet. With 5090RTX it will be easier to do it, but for now there are some small software (DAZ3D) difficulties there too, which, however, are solvable.

Im getting more convinced that Kane was never meant to be a part of this story and only meant to be Olivia as the main MC. Kane has always been an afterthought, meaning look how Kane acts most of the time, he has a memory of goldfish he also has a personality of a robotic retard

That's mostly guesswork on my side, but I'm pretty sure that Kane always meant to be part of the story... But on the sub side. Tess evidently doesn't like maledom and isn't big fan of vanilla either, but seemingly likes to write about suffering and humiliation from male perspective, so her vision for story was always, subconsciously, femdom-centric (she probably thought that she could stomach Kane Dom content to make game bigger and better (and get money from all types of players) but we all see that it isn't the case). As such, Kane never meant to be developed character, just a drone to be used and abused by the females around him. That's why he is quite similar to that even on the Dom side.

Yea, tbh if all Tess really said was that Angelica's content has been 'changed' and that 'extensive branches will be pruned'. It doesn't even mean the two things were related at all lol and we've all been stressing for no reason.

I'm actually wondering now if maybe that the reason Kiyomi's romance content with Kane has been removed... was so that it could be given to Angelica.

Think about it, Angelica can fulfil the same role as Kiyomi anyways. According to someone (I think the guy with the Elden Ring signature) Tess had hyped up the romance with Kiyomi saying that it was supposed to come at the perfect time... Maybe that's consoling Kane and/or helping him go his own way in the case that his relationship with his parents goes sideways, or keeping him safe since not everyone is so lucky like Olivia as to get training from Ying Yue.

And yea, I'm not worried for saves either. For example, she didn't go back and remove 'demon' flag or the tentacle pit scene... she simply cut future content with that sort of stuff. I imagine saves will break anyways though when she releases the Steam version.

I'm definitely not an expert here... so maybe this is very stupid. But to get a full table of characters couldn't you just make two renders? One with the right seats filled, and one with the left seats filled. Then crop the two images in half and place them next together? I imagine if such a simple solution were possible though she would've already done that... Personally, I think a shot of them all at the table would be cool.

There would be numerous ways of doing this if you understand how Daz works. You could even load everything you wanted to and then 'hide' them within daz so they do not use VRAM and then do the renders and merge in P'shop.

'Nicer' to just have everything in and render once. Sure perhaps...but the hassle involved can most often negate the time/hassle of piecemailing it together (and far often quicker to to do that than wait for Daz to render a ridiculously large RAM scene).

To go slightly OT, look at many other VN's...YC for a great example. No one needs 5090's to do a VN (especially if you understand how Daz actually renders and what it uses, VRAM and CudaCores), hell, even a 3090 is more than adequate for 99% of VN makers (unless your Ocean for example lol). What is required, is a good understanding of the application and to really learn lighting.

Guy with the Elden Ring signature here. From what I remember from my convo with Tess, Kiyomi was supposed to be kind of a " go your own way".Where Kane and Kiyomi leave the Karlsson world behind and set off on their own path. Remember, Kiyomi and Katsumi were captured/sold to the Karlssons. So Kiyomi's situation is like that of the early Janissaries of the Ottoman Empire. Taken from home and trained to be loyal to the empire. So her breaking free and subsequent romance would have happened at an opportune time.

But if that is no longer happening, Angelica can fill that role to a degree as mentioned in the quoted post .She's from outside the Karlsson group, independent and can walk away at the end. Still, I believe what happened to Kiyomi's route was extremely unfair.

P.S Why did I think a random 4-letter combination was a good name? Need to change that
