Is there a way to disable the "Orders" so they never drop? I am horrible at management games but I really want to play this.

Sadism affects the effectiveness of footjobs and how much pleasure Karryn gains after attacking, while masochism is for rimjobs and pleasure from taking damage. I think sado /maso level adds to the slut level for some dialogue lines and there's a few other really minor details, but that's about it.
They'll probably rework it at some point. Sadism is kind of a mess right now, since any Karryn that fights is eventually gonna get off on it and I feel like masochism is entirely a negative.

Nah, the devs are actually extremely active and communicate quite a bit about progress and such. Though the updates do take a while usually they're fairly significant.

They've already finished one game (Meltys) and they're going pretty strong with Karryn. Don't see any causes for doomposting yet, unless Rem suddenly says he's now working on a new game or moving on from vidya to become a real prison warden.

There are no 'routes' in this game really, especially in the BDSM department, which is one of the weakest points of this game. Those looking for some serious femdom or slavegirl stuff just because there are sadism and masochism stats and passives will be disappointed. Surely, some battle moves are considered sadistic (cock kick) and masochistic (rimjob... seriously?) and butt-slaps and nipple tugging have sorta kinda maso flavour, but... there are no bdsm sessions/jobs, especially for victorious, bossy Warden. Even the sadistic Karryn can end up getting fucked in the ass bent over the bar and be 'encouraged' to sip cum via a straw... which is not something that a respectable dominatrix would stoop down to. The same goes for other jobs, which all have a hefty dose of male to female dominance in them. Thus, submissive slut Karryn seem a more natural outcome, given the circumstances she's in and lack of any opportunities for her sadism to be developed in a convincing manner. Sadistic promotions for active tit-fucks, pussy sex, handjobs and up until recently... receptive anal sex are lazy conceptualizations of female sexual dominance, almost as if the devs have never watched any Femdom porn.
the difficulty just makes everything more "intense" the order and income becomes a real issue that you have to manage, enemy strength an issue to make a good specialized combat build for karryn.
all in all, I feel the "true" difficulty is warden (mid) everything starts easy but not brainless easy, and everything ends up scaling as you go up in the progression.
secretary mode makes combat very easy and money or management an after-though, so if you want just go with it for the easy mode "I control everything" just to check the sexy stuff, all you really need is to let desires go up, difficulty changes resistances and stuff, but with money and free easy combat, you can pretty much control everything.
Prisoner mode, is just downright unplayable after a certain point, starts hard-ish and turns harder by level 2 with good planning, good management and decent combat build you cn survive to lvl 3, but then starts popping up hordes of enemies or almost unbeatable special enemies, and since to make money in this difficulty you need to keep order bellow 30 to make money, one defeat where karryn succumbs to pleasure usually leads to a quick downspiral

I hope something like that will be added in the future. All though I do think it should be an option people can turn off for people who don't like that.
