Why? Unless you are one of the few english people who can speak Japanese, VA in other language won't express the context in the understandable way. Realized it after watching a few anime with good dubs.
You might as well just play "Hentai moans ASMR" in the background, and it will give similar effect already.
You must have found some of the only good hentai dubs then, because I have yet to find a good english VA that is nearly as good as a japanese VA at doing eroge/hentai. I can't even understand it, but they convey emotions hundreds of times better that english VAs, since they also sound so disinterested and shallow.
Nah, if anything it would be cheaper. Theres tons of VA girls who would be glad to lend their voice to a project thats going to be released on steam.
The real issue is that the dev seems to think "japanese" is the end all be all, I still maintain if he marketed towards english users more instead of trying to please the japanese ones the game would still do just as fine, if not better.

If you mean it would be cheaper to get only a single english VA would be cheaper, then you might be right. But then you also get what you pay for, some girl that can't put any emotion into the line she is speaking, at least in my experience. It's definitely possible I haven't found a good english game with a good english VA in sex scenes as well.
No if they have to get a VA for both languages it's going to be more expensive, and don't forget Sachi is a Japanese developer first, so it's only natural he'd want a Japanese VA. And if you try to exclude getting a japanese VA you arebasically telling the japanese community to piss off. When instead you should be thankful they are releasing it in english at all.
His primary fanbase isnt japanese people, majority speak english. Also we probably spend the most anyways so it would be better if he tried pleasing the english speaking users not the japanese. Personally dont need to hear some high pitched whiney "kawaii desu sugoi" bullcrap, I get enough of that with anime.
Where are you pulling you numbers from to say the japanese fanbase is smaller than the english fans? Because if you check Rem's Substar he has 3900 followers while Sachi's Ci-en has about 17,000 seems to me that the japanese fanbase is larger unless I am missing something.
And again, he is a japanese developer first, not an english one.
