The update is moving very well. I am at 60 images and counting. But I do want to announce that this will be the final update of Kimberly's Life. I am not abandoning it, I am completing the story in the same way I had planned, just sooner than expected. You will see it make sense and give you a definitive ending. I know I don't owe anyone an explanation, but I will provide a short one. I know this is fantasy and nobody is getting hurt. But developing these characters and giving them emotions and personalities, they become more than just images. I do not want to depict these situations where men treat woman like this. The thoughts in my head about creating dialogue and scenes like I have created, and continue to create, disgust me now. I am not interested in the sex scenes. I don't even play these games anymore. Also, I still don't want to depict girls who go around looking for sex and want to have random partners. None of this interests me anymore. I am changing for reasons I will not say on here, but I am very happy and excited to move on. Once the update is released, I will remove all the tiers for patron support. Getting paid for this also disturbs me.



However, if you don't want me to completely disappear, and if you guys are ok with this, I will make the space story as a hobby. It will be a story oriented project. But you cannot expect much sex in it. In the future of it, there may be a sex scene in one update, and then nothing sexual in the next one or two. Also there would be no set 1 or 2 month releases. I could go a month without making a single image. And it will all be free. If that is something you guys would still enjoy from me, I will stick around. If not, I understand. Leave a comment if you wish. Thank you for your support over the years. May the Schwartz be with you.

Good Luck man. I can understand living with dark thoughts too long wearing on you. Your mind played out whatever it was working through... probably.

A suggestion though, if you do decide to take on another dark project... always leave the characters an out, or give them a victory. There should be a goal other than survival until acceptance of the abuse.

There were parts in this where she could have realistically fought back. In fact, she could have all along and you could have gone a non sex route. Another story on here did that and you could play the game completely consensually or without any sex and just dodge every scenario (Maybe not the best for a porn game, but it is also up to player agency then too). The underlying peril can exist still, but be muted through agency of the character, or exaggerated by player choices.

Although I am not a fan of "good endings", this ending is also good. At least it does not leave any unsaid or open ending. You can call me a bore, but I regret only one thing: that poor Elmer never got to have sex with Kimberly. It is a great pity that such an interesting project is closing. The number of games in this repertoire can be counted on the fingers of one hand. I will really miss Kimberly and her adventures.

Congrats for finishing up your game. I think every AVN developer should have a small or medium size game under their belt before moving on to a large game that has multiple chapter and that could take years to develop. This way the number of abandon games would go down and more game will be finish.

Hmm, I just read the dev post about abandoning the game and I think I get it.
I mean I'm not gonna pretend I don't enjoy playing these game from time to time but I can totally understand that it's not always healthy to spend too much time on them or even making them.
So good luck for the future and thanks for making the game. And I'm glad Kimberley got a Happy Ending. It was my preferred ending as well.

I think the main point this dev is trying to say is that this particular game (and the theme behind it) is no longer something he wants & or finds humane, for lack of a better word.

And I agree, this game was exclusively focused on non-consent/reluctance and the disgusting/old man fetish, and is sure to take a toll on someone's psyche.

I hope Spaceballs is in a better place now (mentally), and if they ever decide to dive back into AVNs, they can do a mature love story instead.

To clarify, that's what I meant by "these" games. I wasn't referring to porn games in general.
